Another update, Edited the OP.

Due to the volume of tickets we're currently receiving regarding this issue, we've decided to bring the servers offline tomorrow morning for a special maintenance to switch the WST's. Avatea will be posting an update very soon.

Apologies for any typos as I'm posting this from my phone.

The only veritable that differentiates this WST from others is the 2 part nature of the Positron Task Force. Has anyone tried completing the second half or the complete oro version of it?

Do we have a start and projected end time for this Wednesday maintenance, yet?

I disagree. I prefer Synapse over Psyche.

EDIT: Actually, funny thing is: I was talking to a friend earlier about how would I like to have the OLD posi as a WST. 132 merits in a little over an hour...Mmmmm....

So, once again, a triple-maintenance week. Not to sound like a whiner, but it's getting old for those who happen to play at the time you do those (I'm on European time, and I actually DO play between one and two PM amost days.) So far 2011 is not turning into a good year for you guys, is it?

I get the fact that you're trying to make it up to those who got shafted over those WTF things, but some of us happen to just want to play the rest of the game and are losing sheer (paid-for, may I add) playing time because of this.

Hey Netphenix...just so you know...the total amount of play time lost to maintenance over the last week amounts to less than a dollar (and even less if you pay in blocks of time). Are you REALLY crabbing about that?

I'm not crabbing about that. Frankly, considering the work the CoX teams are doing, I'm usually more of the "praise be to them for they can't be paid enough" mentality. But those days, I am getting a bit annoyed that up to i19 it was exceptionnally rare for a special intervention to be needed (usually less than every two months from my experience) and since Strike Pack it's getting more to be every two weeks or so.

As mentionned, for some people in Europe, me included (but I know from my in-game friends that I'm not the only one) it happens to be a fairly popular playtime that we're losing more and more often. Now since the beginning of the year, it's the second time we're having a triple-maintenance week, and we're barely in April. I'm annoyed, which I tend to express as frustration. My bad.

You forgot the exciting new extension, City of Henchmen®! Now you'll now what those Zombies and Thugs you callously send to their death must live through as you play one of them !

(I'd totally play that. The Epic Archetype would be the possibility to play as one of the Patron's summons, and the Incarnate level as one of Recluse's own summons. )

This. And somebody remind me when it was that a bunch of experienced Dev staff were "let go/went" from CoH by NcSoft? Coincidence? You decide for yourself cause I know what I think (based on what I actually know)

Not particularly impressed by this - spent a whole evening doing parts 1 & 2 because NOTW didnt drop after part 1, and NOW we're told its an error, and regardless of whether we can provide chat log file evidence that we did both parts, we WONT be awarded the NOTW?
Come on guys, its a bit like being told to dig a hole, then being told to fill it in again straight after, without getting paid for it.
And the annoying thing is that a petition/request for a GM wasnt considered because we know they wouldnt be able to join an ongoing WST.

Really really beginning to have doubts about continuing my subscription considering the "oops factor" this game comes with - shame after 5 years of play.

Get away from that computer once in a while!

Opinions are like bottoms, we all have one, and they usually stink.

Again, this is in-line with their past handling of awards failing to drop. When some TFs were failing to drop merits in the early days of merits, even people who completed the TF and bugged it weren't awarded the missing merits after the fact.

Ok guys this is getting down right stupid now. People are starting to getting really angry. Don't Believe me then maybe the you devs should get on the chat channels and take a listen.

Why not just give everyone a Notice of the Well?

Sounds cool, but it doesnt really resolve the problem.

The Devs reputation is in the cellar, NCSofts "we apologise for any inconvenience caused / thank you for your patience" shows how much they care.

As suggested in an earlier post by broomhilda, maybe some of the Devs/Quality team should listen in to the chat channels.

I've tried playing in Pretoria (for which I pre-paid before it was issued), and cant even go 5 minutes without hard crashing on a constant basis.

Something has gone horribly wrong and its time to repair the damage both program-wise, and more importantly, customer (player) - wise.

Believe me, I prefer to play the game, not spend most of my time slagging the player experience, devs and powers to be off.

Finger out NCSoft - please!

It does resolve my (and everyone else who ran posi) problem as well as gives out a bonus to those who didn't run the weekly TF.

But, no, it does not resolve your (and everyone else's) problem with the quality, or lack thereof, of CoX.

Your memory is faulty. Post-releases, there tend to be a lot of little patches and, on occasion, sudden "GAH! Servers going down in TEN MINUTES! DIVE!DIVE!DIVE!" patches. Within a month, it's back to normal.

Right. Because BAB could have animated the bugs away.

Oh, and as far as the last time? COV release. Y'know, the LAST time they finished a major project.

It would be nice if things got back to normal before the next DIVE DIVE DIVE occured.

These things are happening in 2 or 3 week cycles at present, and our compensation last time - a Halloween Event!

And I'm SURE I recently saw a thread/statement in the old login style screen which stated "RESOLVED - mapserver problem has been identified" etc. And IS it resolved? Nah.

Anyway, lets hope the new weekly Strike Target works as intended.
