Purple Patch Against -50s (Best Bug Ever)
I saw someone mention this during the Beta, it seems to be specific to people with Level Shifts vs Lv1s and could lead to some supremely embrassing moments in Atlas.
Would be interesting to see what effect the +2 & +3 level shifts have on this, but as they only work in the trials I can't think of any way to test them.

I was in Atlas with Trouble Widow, my lvl shifted Fortunata, and was, you know saving some citizens just for fun when a couple of Mortificators hit me!
I was like...? WTF? She is an lvl shifted Incarnate!
Finally, an explanation for Squirrel Girl's long list of A list villains she's taken down...
Thanos for goodness sakes... Deadpool twice.
We finally have an answer to how!
COMING SOON: A new Epic that will change the way you see Arachnos...

So Incarnates can actually get defeated by Hellions now and not just arbitrarily buffed Malta. Awesome.
I'm probably just too busy laughing at their pathetic attempt to even defend myself... You know, maybe get a scratch or two, let them think they've got a chance before crushing their spirit.
Level TWO enemies? Yeah, they're twice as deadly. So naturally I'm going to protect myself against THEM.

Nice to see they still haven't fixed this one.

Even if they don't have a solution they should take the servers down for maintenance while they try to find a resolution.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Why have they not taken the servers down for emergency maintenance during prime time to resolve this dangerous problem?

It's not a game breaking bug or that big of an issue. Level 50(+1)s fighting level 1s is not exactly an issue in the grand scheme of things, unless it spreads as we get more shifts.
Found my excuse next time I plant. "well they were level 1"

As was said in the previous thread on this topic, this is likely a result of never intending to have characters go past level 50 for the purple patch, so there is no scaling for such a large gap. When fighting a 1 on what is for all intents and purposes a 51 player, the game fails to properly scale, most likely the purple patch is failing to be applied at all, and not just the game is applying an even-con's "purple patch" (although, without being privy to the source, that's mostly just an educated guess).
But, as was the point of my previous post, this isn't something that will be regularly encountered, and often won't be noticed even when a 50+1 is trying to fight a level 1- this should be a pretty damn low priority bug from the Dev's point of view (assuming this is the total extent of the bug... it could be merely a symptom of a more dangerous issue).

In my case the only reason I noticed it is because I went "Haha I wonder how much damage I could hit a level 1 for with this Judgement power."
Being level 1s they still have tiny HP, so even the non-increased attacks kill them in one shot. My unslotted brawl was still enough to kill them pretty easily.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

So check this out; the purple patch isn't working correctly against -50s.
My Widow is +1 level shifted, and against level 2 Hellions her brawl does 210 damage. But against level 1 Hellions it does 35. My Void Judgement has a base damage of 621 damage. Against level 2 Hellions it does over 3700 damage. Against level 1s it does 621 damage. It's treating -50s as if they were +0. They even have 18%-39% to hit rolls against me, despite being 50 levels lower than me. When one shot me with his pistol, it did 5 damage. Anyway, I'm off to see if my level 50+1 incarnate can get killed by level 1s. |
Hello,
a nice way to verify if it really is the 50+ difference would be if a lvl shifted one would exemplar to a lvl 49 char. That way the lvl shift should make him a normal lvl 50.
If the described bug persist the error is on the lvl shift, if the damage is normally then the 50 lvl difference table is just missing .
PS +2 and +3 shifts cant happen cause the shifts are not avail in normal gameplay, they only apply/work in I-Trials .....
Greetings

It also explains why thugs, despite *knowing* that Superman, Wonder Woman, etc. just don't get hurt by bullets.. why they keep shooting at them.
