Gaslamp Fantasy/Steampunk Group Forming

i'm thinking of remaking my steampowered armor Scrapper, Retrofuturist. If i do that i'd love to get him into the SG. (Not that i'm going to change his origin much since it involves a WWI era powersuit prototype built by his great grandfather that's been refurbished after his father died in it while fighting the first Rikti invasion. But i am thinking of going with a Def/Corr/Dom/Cont instead of a Scrapper.)

I was planning on making a rp toon on a concept I had created on Virtue when the global list was merged. It would be nice to combine that with the steampunk pack.

Due to problems with my new job, that ultimately made me quit on the first day (6 hours in), I'm going to be around quite a bit. Mostly in the mid-day to EARLY mornings. If you need an invite to the SG, lemmie know.

Just an update: I'm doing some contract historical research, and angling for some steady work from a major auction house, and I heard from Goblin Queen, who is busy on job interviews as well.

I would be so intensely interested in a league of extraordinary gentlemen type SG it's not even funny.

My main character is a rather....oddly created vampire(I TAKE from old mythos but have written his own specific mythos because he's not like... a story-vamp)

and his costumes are DEFINITELY a mix between modern and steampunk aesthetic. plus with the new booster coming out I'm DEFINITELY digging the idea of steamy goodness re-fueling my love for CoH

If it's an RPSG, I might bring back Cassandra Castielle, who was an occultic surveyer and treasure hunter.

In the Anachronism Society, we encourage everyone to engage in as much RP as they feel comfortable with. Back stories and costumes though, need to fit either steampunk, gaslamp fantasy or 1920s/30s pulp heroes.

My RP is mainly between fights and using macros, since I cannot type and fight at the same time.

(Heck, I can't type and run at the same time. :P )

I am noticing a new trend of upcoming Steampunk SG's. Perhaps there should be a sitdown for a future coalition of Steam for all of them?


And a bit off topic: this weekend in Dearborn MI will be the second annual World Steam Expo. Not sure if I am making it this year but definitely going try.

Question: Is it a requirement that prospective members of this SG actually be from the past, or could they be inspired by/connected to the past? I ask because I have a gent (Doc Steam; I think GQ actually tried to recruit him--in a past incarnation--about two and a half years ago or something) who is connected to the past, specifically, old-timey Nemesis shenanigans.
