The Warlord of the Air is a 1971 British alternate history science fiction novel written by Michael Moorcock. It concerns the adventures of Oswald Bastable, an Edwardian-era soldier stationed in India, and his adventures in an alternate universe wherein the First World War never happened. It is part of Moorcock's 'A Nomad of the Time Streams' trilogy and, in both its use of technology extrapolated from the Edwardian era (such as airships) and a cod-Victorian / Edwardian era writing style, is generally considered a precursor to steampunk fiction.[1] The novel was first published by Ace Books as part of their Ace Science Fiction Specials series.

I'm using Red Fortune in Rock Armor because it's cheaper, and it gives me +recharge. I took the slots out of Earth's Embrace and used them to two-slot LotG for extra regen. I'm not too worried about accuracy, as almost all earth/ powers have -def.
167.5% recharge without Hasten or SS, 218% regen, 112% HP. With Manuvers and CJ running, I have almost 34% S/L defense, but only 15% ranged:

Hadn't played Earth/ since beta, and never got far with /kin, and just had a concept I decided to roll with that fit the powersets

I haven't built a controller since IOs, much less inherent fitness, but have been looking at earth/ and /kin guides and came up with this. I was going for recharge bonuses, and the faster I can debuff and buff allies, the more likely I live. I'd like to hear your feedback on this build.
I really haven't thought about alpha or any other incarnate yet, though am certainly open to suggestions!

I use the AOE immobilize + Stalagmites as an AE hold.
I just don't use it on top of Earthquake. Even with Hasten and Siphon Speed, I'm still wanting more recharge, but when I DO hit both, I find my endurance disappears like rain on hot asphalt.
I have half SOs and half generic IOs at the moment, and one focus is more end redux as I figure how to use these "free" recipes I'm getting on alts (this is my only controller.) -
I speed boost mine, and he's a real rolling stone!
My earth/kin is pre- inherent fitness, and is my first troller I've ever tried to IO, and I'm trying to piece together a IO set build from the outdated guides in the Guides section.
I'm level 33 right now, so suppose I should just use generic IOs, but I'm also leveling a "ticket" brute, and its seems a waste just to delete all the recipes he's generating at the mid-high 30s that aren't "best sellers."
How are you slotting your Earth/ powers? -
Steam Jump can be used with Hover or Flight to "sky write" as well

It was a mind-blowing turnout last night! The line of contestants almost completely filled three sides of the Atlas Statue platform, so I'd say at least 70 people entered. We had four categories, and a separate Grand Prize winner. Each winner got 100 million influence, and ZWillinger showed up to wow the crowd, and also gave a Steampunk Pack to the Grand Prize winner!
I'd been ingame 18 hours by that time, and didn't get a chance to take any screenshots! I know we had someone taking shots in between it be dark and people firing off incarnate powers to mask everyone in black globes () so if anyone was there and got good screenshots, we'd love it if you could send them to gaslampfantasy.net at gmail. (note the dot before "net")

In the Anachronism Society, we encourage everyone to engage in as much RP as they feel comfortable with. Back stories and costumes though, need to fit either steampunk, gaslamp fantasy or 1920s/30s pulp heroes.
My RP is mainly between fights and using macros, since I cannot type and fight at the same time.
(Heck, I can't type and run at the same time. :P ) -
Just an update: I'm doing some contract historical research, and angling for some steady work from a major auction house, and I heard from Goblin Queen, who is busy on job interviews as well.
Sorry for us both being away from the game recently, but you gotta pay bills! I'll try to get in tonight to "show the flag" and perhaps get an AS group going! -

Also, I'm tempted to get Frenzy and Arm Lash, but wondering if getting Tough and Weave would be better? I can cap ranged def with Weave, but having those arms not actually slicing things makes me sad. -
