Gaslamp Fantasy/Steampunk Group Forming
Ok folks, the admin interface for Dolphin reminds me of the Churchill quote regarding Soviet Russia. In order to correct some things that were uneditable on existing accounts, I had to delete all users.
Please re-register, as things are apparently pared down now to only essential info (nickname, email, password) in the account settings.
Management regrets the inconvenience.
And after a dumb mistake on my part, and the wonderful help of a new friend (Thank you for the halloween salvage). I had to remake the Professor, get reinvited to the SG, and remake both costumes. But, for my troubles and GQ's and the new friend (Dear god why can't I remember names!?) Here's the 2nd costume on her line-up.

He was the owner of Detective Tock, although he came back as Liberties to provide the salvage.

The costume needs tweaking, but 'Regynald Baxter' finds himself walking the streets of Paragon.
I'll hunt GQ or Dr.O up at some point.
This is Armorplated, a cobbled together armor made by Prof. Josh Graves from Paragon University. It was put together during an emergency evacuation of his lab during a Rikti raid during which he and his graduate students did not manage to get through to the evac zone.
He and his students cobbled a suit which runs off the ambient body temperature of the user, and used it to try to make a run for safety. After losing two of his four graduates, he decided to become a full fledged hero.
((Registered as Science, as he is primarily a gadgetteer not a cyborg))
so if you have room, let me know I will do what I can to come play, I look forward to gaming with you all...

I take it back NC SOFT is enough evil for anyone...
This sounds really neato. I've got a character, The Steam Punk MK1, that would be perfect.
Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on the last few days, but I had storm damage to the house, and all the gables had to be replaced. I didn't have enough money to pay for them to be painted, so I'm pressure washing, priming and painting the house by myself. I'll probably be offline for a few more days, aside from taking a minute to check that none of my listings have sold in the market. #I'mnodonaldtrump
Just a note that the Girl Genius -inspired villain group Knights of The Spark has been initiated! Find Goblin Queen or myself in-game to get an invite!
This "light RP" VG will not be quite as wide open as the Anachronism Society, as members should have a backstory/theme based on the "mad science Europa" world of Girl Genius. We're planning a special weekly event for the VG involving robotic soldiers. Details forthcoming!
Might have to recall this alt from Protector for this:
Lieutenant Commander Stephen Austen of the Royal Marines is one of our most celebrated and accomplished aquanauts. He has made numerous deep sea dives in the name of exploratory science. Recently, he had suffered an unfortunate accident with his diving bell. His body was crushed by the massive pressures of the deep ocean. Through the courageous efforts of his Marine comrades, Lt. Cmdr. Austen was rescued from a watery grave.
After months of painstaking work by a team of England's most prominent surgeons, watchsmiths and blacksmiths led by Dr. R. Wells, as well as an investment of a heretofore unheard of budget of six million pounds sterling, we present The Galvonic Man.
The inspiring words of Minister O. Goldman were instrumental in the success of the Galvonic Man project:
"Stephen Austen, aquanaut, a man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first galvonic man. Stephen Austen will be that man. We can make him better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster."
Grats on this new group. While I won't be joining, I had a couple ideas for character names.
An Irish boxer (weren't all Irish boxers and all boxers Irish, back in the day?)...The Fighting Mick. (YES, I'm Irish-American and we use the term "Mick" without prejudice. Every time someone comes out with an insulting nickname for the Irish, the Irish take it and use it themselves. Gotta love it!)
A copper-clad robotic police officer...The Copper Copper. ("Copper" is an old-time nickname for a police officer as they put "the cop" (arrest) on the bad guys.)
Both names are free at present.
Hey Cookie Monster, if "C" is for cookie, what is "N" for?

Greetings all!
With the good Dr. Occult being away and Goblin Queen sick with some nasty strep throat, Goblin has promoted me to leadership status, in order to keep inviting those who wish to join the Anachronism Society (Blue-side SG).
While I am normally on Freedom, do not hesitate to send me a /tell @Obsidian Light, and ask for an invite. The good Professor, Sophia Wyatt, is but a moment away.
Take it easy

Might have to roll my toon for this sometime tonight.
Heyo folks, sorry for the absence, couldn't be avoided. I'll be on tonight, and I'll also be changing the name of the redside villain group to "Gaslamp Villainy."
Tonight, let's get some Anachronism Society groups together!
Also, I have the Kings Row mayhem mission cued up for Gaslamp Villainy. In addition, I have a special plan for a static Tuesday villain team for Gaslamp Villainy as well.
Well, I'm afraid my steampunk alts are tied up at the moment, but good luck and Godspeed folks, I'll keep an eye out for your folks.
Just wanted to let you know I should be on a bit tomorrow (Sunday) if you wish to add a new member to your SG and group. I may have two for you actually, though haven't decided about Klick Klock.
fantastic! I should be around. You can always PM me here if you don't find me in-game.
Me as well, Straenge.

Question: I have a character from an alternate universe that's more "dieseltech" and atomic rockets than steampunk/steamtech/Victorian. She is, however, quite Golden Age. Would this hero group be a possible fit for her? She and a steamtech/Victorian friend are looking for like-minded individuals.
We have characters with a pulp/dime store novel background, (think 1920s-1930s) so I think it wouldn't be too far a stretch.
What Doc Occult said. The general premise is that the heroes are from past times and are living anachronisms in present day Paragon. That range is 1800-1940s with some few extreme variations outside that range being possible. So those concepts would definitely work.

The "retrofuture" I've been assembling for my character is a blend of late 30s, 40s and very early 50s SF concepts, though date-wise it's several hundred years in the future. It's mostly a backstory/origin story and wouldn't have much bearing on her current life. (Believe it or not, the character was a spin-off from a costume I designed for the Golden Age Bash a couple months back for an entirely different character. The backstory came later!) I'll definitely tell my friend. Who should we look for to talk to?
