This is a smashing idea! An animal handler could be the hero counterpart to mastermind. I pray every night for world peace and a pack of dire wolves of my very own. Also, why can't I cover my enemies in bees yet? This could be the coolest power set ever! My current main character is my mastermind demon summoner but I'd rather be a hero. A hero that covers people in bees and wolves! If they need to vary the types like they do for the other pet sets than I recommend three falcons, two wolves and a bear.
Adorable woodland creatures for pets...that when set to aggressive or defensive, get glowing red eyes and foam at the mouth!
Tier 1 pets- Rabbits
Tier 2 pets- Deer
Tier 3 pets- Bear
Summon 10 German Shepherds that stare at your foe and scratch fleas at them!

I would like to see a set of this nature. Probably with dogs/wolves as the tier 1 pets, a lion and a tiger as the tier 2 pets, and a bear as the tier 3 pet.
Ranged attacks could be a swarm of insects DoT, a single target hawk/eagle attack, and a cone of bats.
Unique power in the set could be a placeable click or PBAoE toggle field of vermin.

Poodles that jump through hoops as part of a Carni MM set that doesn't have any of the minions in it that they wanted Carni's for! lol
I'm sure they are already thinking about MM animal set. And I am betting it won't come with a whip which actually would have made a lot of sense.

I like this but I think you'd have to make it a Controller/Dom set and not a mastermind pet set, simply because the latter would require too many new animations (showing your pets being hit by enemy powers etc). I could definitely see a controller set where the animals are all just graphics though, like the mako shark powers. Add in the devouring earth bees and maybe a monkey as actual tangible pets and you're good to go.
I think it should be a mastermind powerset.
No reason other than laziness for it to be otherwise.
And just a heads up, You don't try to control rabbits...

Make sure they can summon a pet skunk that has a fear aura toggle and a long recharge AOE spray that makes his foes wretch and puke!
Skunky has to be a cute, cuddly woodland creature. :'(
