6 hours downtime
Update 2:00 PM PDT - We're currently looking at a 90 minute ETR |
In my timezone that will be 0:30 am 1st of April.

At least we have a timeframe now, so instead of impatiently waiting at our computers for an update, we know that we can go find something better to do for a while
Not by me. It's just a game. People get so entitlement and bitter over things like this. Stuff happens, that's life.
At the rate this is going, NAers probably won't get to play terribly much today either. There are other things to do besides MMO's. Yes, I went there. =P |
I usually log out by this time, and haven't logged in yet today.
@Damz - thought you were making fire/ice corruptor? |
Thats going to be my next defiant character. Trying to keep it even between the two for the moment, so soon as Mr Damz [ice/ice] gets to 25 [currently 21, 25 is the point where i slow down the levelling] i've planned to make a fire/ice on defiant and get him up too then alternate since they SHOULD play entirely different
Edit: Got to say though, i do LOVE the /ice powers for corruptors, nowhere near enough of them around and cant see why. On the teams i was on, even unslotted i thought it was good.
@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!
Sorry guys, I know everyone wanted an ETR, however we couldn't give one until we had a concrete estimate. The last thing anyone wants is to constantly have to push out a timeframe.

So... double XP?

Yes, but you aren't normally expected to pay for the chance to practice your patience skills.
|
Agreed, lol. While I know the time lost is but a miniscule part of the sub-price,and while we all understand that "glitch's" happen,it would be a
nice gesture to kick out a double xp/shards/or threads type week-end
for the inconvenience suffered. After all,it wouldnt cost NC anything to
do so,right
I have seen a couple of people mention rollback issues. What exactly happened?

It's fun, you should try it sometime - when servers are up.
Also, if I got these hours right... I think the 6 hours downtime turned into a 10.5 hour downtime, so yeah that's quite a bit.

Yes its only a game, but most europeans want to be treated equally as the same as people on the NA servers.
|
And for some of us our primetime was hours ago. When the servers start to come back u, IF they even come up at all in 90 minutes, it will be nearly 7pm EST. "Normal primetime" seems to begin around 5EST or so. Already past that with a 90 minute "to go" timer on it. And they may not even be up in 90.

I saw someone complain about having to pay for this. I agree. I want my 50 cents back!!!

Doesn't it make sense though for a game created and operated in North America to schedule maintenance times appropriate for that time zone? I understand the frustrations of the EU players, but you did know when you bought the game that it was created and operated in NA, so you could safely assume that all maintenance times would favor that particular time zone, right?. It's not like the devs WANT the servers to be down or anything. Why would they? They have to deal with constant complaints for every minute of downtime that exceeds the scheduled mainenance. It's an inconveniece for everyone, especially you guys, but I don't think the devs are intentionally giving EU players the shaft, it just happens to come across that way.
Some people lost entire levels, some people lost brand new toons, some people lost story arc progress, recipes, Alignment merits, WW transactions, and a host of other things.

One person a level, another a hecatomb, etc...
I'm assuming it was all within a fixed timeframe although some only really noticed they lost something from this morning whilst another was talking about something he'd gotten last night.
For me personally I ran the entire Black Scorpion patron arc this morning before the downtime with the help of someone else since I was using a toon that can't solo it yet.
I finished that approximately 2 hours before the downtime.
Got the badge, the respecs, unlocked the patrons.
After the downtime I logged back on and the arc was entirely rolled back, patrons not unlocked again. The only trace left of having done it in the first place was that I 'took' the first mission as that was queued up under missions.
