The Abrams is one of the most effective war machines on the planet. - R. Lee Ermy.
Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?
A: You crash into another one.
Looks more cosplay than classic superheroine to me.
I realize I'm stepping in the middle of a heated conversation, but this is a serious question, born from an ignorance of the character. What job WOULD she hold? For that matter, what jobs has she held? I'm not the most read on the character, but the only job I can remember off the top of my head was when she worked for S.H.I.E.L.D.

Whoops.
Like I said, not well read.
Not sure how I could have made a blunder that big, though.
EDIT: I think I figured out where that came from. I don't have many comics, but I *do* have the full Amalgam set.

Usually, she works as an operative for some military or government agency. However, she was originally an Army nurse and then an Army secretary. She was also a UN translator and once owned a boutique in New York, and I seem to remember one cartoon had her as a librarian.

Amazon princess -- not sure what that job entailed
1960s comics -- boutique owner
1974 TV movie -- secretary to Steve Trevor
1975 TV series -- First Class Petty Officer Yeoman in the Navy
1976 TV series -- an agent with the Inter-Agency Defense Command (IADC), a CIA-like organization
1980s comics -- ambassador from Themyscira

Let's look it up; here's all I can find readily:

Golden Age 1942 - Army Nurse after buying identity from the Army Nurse named Diana Prince, but quickly became the secretary of Col. Phil Darnell. When the Wonder Woman tv series began, DC retconed her to become the WAVES secretary of Major Steve Trevor (like in the series).
Silver/Bronze age had a lot of retcons of her being a nurse and then secretary or a military inteligence agent. Then in the 1960's she became a boutique owner, then a UN translator, then guide, then as agent for the UN Crisis Bureau. She also did a short stint as a NASA astronaut, before going back to work at the UN, then moved on to become an agent for the Pentagon's Special Assignments Bureau.
Post Crisis, she did a few jobs while undercover as Diana Prince (i.e. at the Gateway City Museum and Taco Whiz) but mainly kept the identity Diana of Themyscira, but after a time she again became a government agent, this time for the Department of Metahuman Affairs.
New design for WW. Somebody was paying attention.
I like the changes they made, but man is that an awkward shot. She looks like she is making a dead run to the ladies room and nothing is gonna stop her.
Well at least the boots are red. And as per my earlier suspicion it looks like this show is going to have her "magically" change to flat soled boots whenever she's running around the same way they did for Lynda Carter back in the 70s. I guess there's still no easy way around keeping these actresses from breaking their ankles.
It also looks like the pants are made of a darker, less "shiny" material in this shot. It'll be interesting to see if that's a permanent change away from the "shiny" blue pants or if that's again a concession for the action scenes just like the flat boots seem to be.

This has WW details.
But's let's talk about something else. What kind of personality is this new WW going to portray? Flirty, Aloofness, Butch?
Edit: I'm looking at this picture again. This woman has no body! WTF! This is a girl not a woman!! Jesus! This show won't even make it to DVD/Home Video.
I predict high day one ratings like the bionic woman and then the same path. I see a mid season cancellation here.

Chicken wire is much thinner. I assume a lasso made by the gods would be thinner and stronger than braiding a bunch of hemp together anyway.
All this stuff needs to go.....

Is this the same girl? Jez, I still hate this show. They should have made her boots knee high. They don't look right. And what's with the goofy armbands branded with WW. Just battleworn bracelets please. They need to just give her a black jacket and be done with this.

Some want her fat. Some want her muscled up to the point of looking like a professional weight lifter.
And the actress turns 28 years old this year. Not a woman? I'm starting to think you want a 50 year old playing the part of Diana.

This show is going to be a joke and the thought that they are still changing based on audience feedback says they have no creative direction/talent involved.

At least come up with some reasonable reasons to dislike this show.

WW has a glass airplane so she can fly over the glass ceiling.
