Your most epic moments for Rikti Monkeyfication

My Will/Fire Tank that can stand against Reichsman no trouble at all, even without any buffs. I see Secondary Mutation dropped, so I click it (mainly hoping for the Recharge buff one) and POOF! I go from invincible tank that Reichsman can't touch to measly little monkey that he just backhands and kills.

I hit my self-rez... back into monkey. Learned the hard way that just cause you die doesn't mean you lose the monkey on your back.

First time I got monkied, I was stealthing through a mission. I wasn't sure if critters would aggro to it, so I kept going to test it, and nothing shot at me. Awesome! Its like the Faultline mission, where you get an Arachnos disguise!

I found out in the next mission where I got monkied again that the first time must have been a fluke. . .

I have had several occasions where I've been devolved on consecutive clicks of Secondary Mutation power.

Last time was on an Apex run...I had just clicked and turned into a rikti monkey and stated in team chat "Sucks to be devolved!" which ellicited a few lols.

I then tempted the RNG by saying "With my luck, I'll be devolved on the next click" and of course, I devolve. That brought more "lmao!" and "rofls"

However, I have never been devolved on three consecutive clicks so thats good I guess.

On my Fire/Elec Dominator, during a Longbow mission. As I prep up for the next spawn (running at like x4 or x5) I hit Domination, then while hitting Build Up I notice Secondary Mutation is back up, so without missing a beat I continue my plan to Flashfire and hit Secondary Mutation before jumping into the middle of the spawn. I splatted quite fast. At least I didn't get stunned.

This afternoon, was duo-ing the ITF with a friend. We'd almost finished the 3rd mission with just Requiem to kill. He was at half health and I was a monkey. He stunned me. I was staggering around the map. I think my friend was too busy laughing to do anything else. Miraculously, I didn't die. ITF duo'd in 50 minutes.

While taunting a Yellow Mito during Hami, I hit my secondary mutation and got monkified. It was recharged. I couldn't resist!

While tanking the Clockwork King in the Synapse TF on my dark/dark corruptor.

It was a late night TF. Started at about 1:00 and by the time we reached the Clockwork King it was nearing 4:30. I was rather groggy at that point. We started with 6 but 2 dropped rather quickly and never came back, one of them was the tank so I was relegated to to alpha soaking and AV tanking. I toggled on Darkest Night, laid down tarpatch and then noticed Seconday Mutation had run out, so I clicked it, something I normally avoid doing during a fight. It was the first time ever I was actually monkeyfied. With my sleep deprived mind it took me a moment to realize what had happened, heh. Ah, well nobody died because of it and once I was back to normal we made short work of Clocky.

It was the first Synapse I had ever run, and I haven't done one since.

I'm usually very careful about that since I was fortunate enough to see someone in globals complaining about turning into a Monkey during a TF just as the were attacking the AV in the final mission. I will hit the mutation when I first enter a mission [usually there is nothing at the entrance to attack you] and then move on.. That doesn't mean it has never become a source of amusement for my team mates. On an ITF a while back I entered with my 50 (+1) MM and summonmed pets, activated my vet reward buff pet and then hit secondary mutation. Then while I hoped around for a minute in "monkey" mode the entire team had a good laugh waiting of the DEBUFFER to reappear so we could get started. hehehe Fortunately I have never had a situation where I "monkified" during combat.

I do often wonder just how sick the DEV was that designed this little feature... have you ever noticed, or maybe i am just a bit paranoid about the power, that when you are soling or when nothing important is going on it never happens? Team up and get into a situation where the team REALLY needs you NOW and "POOF" you are looking for a banana! It has often left me wondering.. "And I PAID them real money for this to happen?" lol
