Please include as much information as you can. If you have codes from booster packs, I would suggest including them.

The Unique Account ID is something you received from NCsoft when you created your account. It looks like this: ncsoft-0000000-userid-XX.

Again, just try and put in as much info as you have. If you can't recall a particular bit of information, you can put "I don't know" in the field.

Don't even get me started on that. I'm registered unter a @gmail adress. But it sends with @googlemail so their system never accepts it anyway. And still, I refuse to jump through any of their hoops. I got my vaild information. It is NCSoft that's not letting me in this it, hence their tech issue. Fun fact is that I'm actualy going to have to contact paypal and my credit card company to stop payment becuase I won't be able to even cancel my accounts.

For people still waiting for a reply from support:

I assume that they're dealing with messages on a first-come-first-served basis. I put in my request for help with the security questions 36 hours ago, and updated my ticket with the requested info as soon as I got the auto-reply (about 5 min later). I just now got an e-mail with a link to do the reset.

This should have been voluntary, for one it's to buggy i.e. case sensitive, it completly locks you out. botom line it's just wrong. now I have to go through a load of crap to reset my account and if anything happens I have no way to fix it. And with phone times tring to get ahold of someone to reset my account is rediculous. Like I said it should have been voluntary.

When I was on the phone with support, I only had to give my most recent serial code.

At least you can log into your game though.

For me I was *almost* out of luck even to PLAY Guild Wars when they increased their security.

I forgot the name of a character on my account (which you need to enter to login to the character select screen)

And i hadn't played the game for a couple of years, and none of my friends could remember... kinda hard for that one as well

What a mess. I did not realize till today when I tried to enter a time card code this was done already. Yeah. I hope I can still log in on my account or my weekend of gaming is shot.

Update: after banging my head on the oak computer desk and searching my records I was able to get into my master account. Ughh. Still was a pain.

I sent 4 codes saying it was some of the codes I had: Animal Pack, Origins Pack, Going Rogue, and Wedding Pack. One of my real life friend got a response back, with a link to change the 2 questions and it all well went. One problem though, his IP is still blocked. So he changed the questions but can't still access his MAster Account. I specified my IP was banned too in the email.

Well, if your time hasn't expired, then you should still be able to play the game.

If your time is expiring, I hope support can fix your account so that you don't lose the Vanguard loyalty bonus.

I just installed windows 7 pro (installed over Vista just now)...should I just install the game from my CoH disks from my archives and not even try to install this mess (links) for right now? ...and will CoH let me do this? I just wanna play the game

You can use the NCsoft launcher to install the game, but using your disks should speed up the process (depending on how new the disks are).

Playing the game doesn't require access to your master account if you are currently an active subscriber.

Ever since this NCSoft Master Account business went live, I've had problems with the CoH Forums software here. Specifically, when I go to the QUICK LINKS button up at the top of the screen and select Mark Forums Read, I get the following error message *every time* ...

Actually, *THAT* problem started before the NCsoft master account "upgrade"... it was with the forum software update that broked it

Absolutely Fabulous.

I jumped in for a month to visit old gaming friends just last week, and accessed my account just fine.

Today, I can't access my account to apply a brand new Going Rogue code to it.

I don't have any of this seven year old information from three computers ago, and at least three apartments in the past as well.

I've changed my main credit card for MMO payments and other online purchases at least five times, and do not have access to those old numbers, those e-records are stored on computers I no longer possess. I have changed ISPs at least four times too!

Do you have backups of your CoH folder anywhere?

If you do, start up the launcher and let it start installing. Once the directory appears, stop and close. Then paste the PIGGS folder into the directory. Restart the installation and you should dramatically cut down on your time.

If you don't:

Depending on when you got the disk, total install time might actually be LOWER if you simply download fresh. If you have anything pre-Going Rogue, don't even bother installing from CD.

Pre GR Disks: Install time + Update Time is greater than simply installing fresh, since you're pulling down something in the neighborhood of 2-3GB of patch files anyhow.

So I found out today after trying to reactivate my account that I can't because my ex husband (who didn't even play) was the Master Account holder. Almost 6 years of play/badges/influence gone... Stinks.

Contact customer support or even one of the Mods here, and give them a smuch info as you can about your account and yourself, so they can see that it matches up.

I will be honest, a major problem that i can see is that the account is held in someone elses name.
