So honestly I never got the whole maintain an account through till today but rewards won't come till the 28th....why not just tell us we have to keep the account through the 28th then?

Come on guys, sure you can wait 10 days to have a costume set that was in the game for years now.
The thing with the date is to have something to throw to us in the 7th Anniversary, City of Marketing.
I'd just like to see an announcement as to whether there is anything special planned for the 28th, or whenever the actual anniversary date is.
I usually take a day, or a half-day, off work to participate in the GM and AV hunts, but I need to give advance notice.

One thing I can confirm is that we'll be hosting our next official (as in we turn on the recording) UStream chat on the 28th. Our special guests will be Gilbert "El Topo" Martinez, Matt "Positron" Miller and Nate "Second Measure" Birkholz!
We'll of course post an official announcement, but I wanted to share this with you now.

something i noticed. the Vangaurd Pack is unlocked account wide ( so in thoery we should be able to make a new characer in 2012 and get these)... but what about the new aura, badge and chest emblem?
Do you have to log into each character to get these during the anniversary period or are they account wide as well?
I had a weird dream the other night that I tuned into a UStream chat and it was just 30 minutes of a model dressed up as Ghost Widow wiggling her fingers at the camera and saying, "Oogedy boogedy boo!"
Is it the 28th yeeeeet? Yeesh!

No, you have to have an active account through today. It says they'll be awarded on or before the 28th. Unless there was some announcement to the contrary since the second one.
