THAT was for shooting me in the back during the Wedding Event rehearsals!

(I still think to this day that Ex Libris deliberately had me come on as a villain even though I was trying to film the wedding, coz the second it went PvP, YOU shot me in the back, Citadel shot me in the back, Manticore shot me in the FACE, and BAB just flattened me as I was staggering to safety.)

Just because we didn't SEE you cheat doesn't mean you weren't cheating. I'd assume the powers guy would have more complex and secretive ways of cheating than just using powers he shouldn't have!

It's a shame to see you leave Castle, but it was only a matter of time. Good luck in your future endeavors, whatever they may be.

Castle,

I could repeat what everyone else has said, but, I won't. I merely will give you the most startling compliment that can be imagined in this game.

I love all the work you did for Energy Aura. The colors, the way it shimmers right before I kill someone (or maybe that's just me). Even before Power Customization, I loved the look and feel of the set, especially on my Brutes. I'm sure you don't hear that often.

Adios, Powers Guy. Now, if you'll just report over to this room right here, we can begin your "Unlearning of Glorious CoH Programming for Betterment of Game" goodbye ceremony.

Don't know what to say, other than good luck and you've been fantastic at the helm of the powers team. If you find yourself on another MMO team find some way to let us know.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

I would have gotten him for you, but my recollection is that at the event I was at pohsyb shot me in the back as I was trying to line up an assassin's strike on Castle, then the power suppression bug prevented me from attacking for the rest of the time.

Seriously, he didn't even know I was there: it would have been sweet.

I'm sad to see you go, Castle. Thanks for letting us say goodbye, and I'm very glad you stuck around for six years.

Most other people seem to have said these things better than I can, but I had to chime in somehow. Don't think you won't be missed.

...For one thing, there won't be any need for me to check the Dev Digest anymore.

I was told if you got nothing nice to say don't say anything. I'm going to break that rule.

PVP is still broke, and now that's it's changed it's going to take even more work to fix. You and you're team literally ruined a game for hundreds of players with no apology what so ever. You added in regular number crunching and everyone thinks that's amazing even though literally every other MMO were waist deep in it.

Now MMO's are moving towards aiming and skill based. I seriously hope for the sake of whatever game you end up working on you don't take the same concept of pvp with you.

Point of order: Castle did not add number crunching to the game, so he should only get credit for ruining the game for hundreds of players.

Especially if your successors prove to be like BAB's... (Oh god, Rain of bullets... They had to copy the DUMBEST thing from WANTED...)

Best of luck to you Castle. Things won't be the same around here without you. I always liked how you tried to be open about game mechanics and design goals, and not keep things locked up behind the "devs only" curtain. At least as much as your bosses would let you get away with it.
