Can't say its THAT rare, I had it happen a couple o' times. Though it feels great each time.

This is where something more interesting than my global and this sentence would be.
I like my Rikti that dropped a purp, shard, and Vanguard Merit. I actually felt bad about defeating him at that point...
Having only received a single incarnate shard, outside of the pity one you receive in the arc, for a total of two ever--I can only assume that the gods heard your accent, Leo, and are just trying to get you to a higher plane as soon as possible.

I've had back-to-back Carnies drop them, got three in one Rikti attack and two in another, and just got two in the same Malta mission just tonight, but I've not had two from the same mob. Nutty.
Suggestions:
Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level
Those of you having trouble getting shards may want to try a Hamidon run. In the course of an hour I got at least 7 or 8 shards from my recent run.

Now if only I could figure out a way to run those alone and not depend on other people's availability and antics...

A month or two ago over a two day span I got a respec recipe and two purples. That's the luckiest I've ever been in this game!

I have done a 22 minute ITF.
I would be happy to help you complete one if you like.
To do a speed ITF:
1. Damage and debuffs
2. Minimum number to do it
3. Speed past everything to reach the goals only don't fight when you don't need to
4. Crystals take them all down and ignore all mobs and ambushes
5. Jump to computer and AV's to start and do both AV's and the computer at once
6. go down the hill defeating generals as you go
7. Pull Rom onto the platform defeating all at one time and all incoming ambushes.
Now you can tell only some select characters can survive this. The crystals don't leave the entry way if you can't solo the crystal and mobs near it. Done right with the right characters - 6 crystals at a time are all solo'ed at once. I do this with my fire/Dark corr and 8 purples and I can cruise thru with no problem.
As someone who's consistently the one person on the TF with 2-3 shards while everyone else is racking up 10+, and who hasn't gotten a single non-TF shard to drop, I hate you, Leo

Defense is also your friend for speed runs so 2 colds and/or bubblers are perfect!

Excluding the ending reward, if I ran a whole bunch of timed Cimerora missions at x8, would the end result be different from defeating an equal number of Romans in the TF? I guess you'd lose the elites and AVs but there aren't that many of them to make a big difference set against the number of minions-bosses you fight.
In running a Tin Mage last night, as we were buffing up before the final showdown with Neuron and Bobcat and the Goliaths, I checked to see what my shard count was looking like, and had gotten NONE for the whole TF to that point. I was disappointed because I only needed one to get my Radial Boost, but oh well, it'll balance out. We killed Bobcat, Neuron and the two Goliaths and the TF was done. I checked again when I was back at the War Zone Base, and I had FOUR!

As of last night, I believe I have 8 shards across all four of my 50s.

Is it possible that the game isn't rolling once specifically for each member of a team, but once rolls once per member then again to see which team member gets the shard?
