Hamidon drops Incarnate Shards like candy.

It makes me happy to report that Hamidon mitos have a very high chance to drop Incarnate Shards. This means that those of us who actually fight the mitos and help during the raid get a better reward than those who sit in the rock and leech.

We ran Hamidon twice in a row, getting Merits the first time and Shards the second time. Counting both raids, my team qualified for drops from 119 mitos (that is, 119 mitos gave us Influence rewards) and I personally got 10 shards out of it. That's a 1 in 12 drop rate, and it might be better, since the sample size is rather small. I didn't ask around what everybody else got, but it seemed like everybody got 4-6 shards from each raid, plus the 4 shards at the end.

I reached the Hive wondering how long it would take me to craft my Alpha Slot; one hour and a half later, I had it crafted with 3 shards to spare.

Assuming that drop rate holds up as the sample size grows, very good news indeed.

During the two red-side Virtue raids last nigh I got a total of 9 shards.

4 from the Hamidon reward table and 5 drops from Mitos.

Other people on my team were reporting higher drop rates.

I approve of this!

Cool...
I might actually have a reason to join Hami Raids now

Were the drop rates changed? I picked up nine or ten from an ITF last night, which was much more then when I ran it during Beta.

We had two earlier in the year but the attendance was very low. The first one barely managed to finish, and the second we just had to give up for lack of interest. So, until redside actually shows up for Hamidon, no.

The mito tanks did great, they only miss on the first mito, after the first mito dies they join the scrapper cloud and get drops same as everybody else.

The Hami taunt team should do fine if some of the buffers are also joining the green team, but I didn't ask.

Nevermind Freedom, the only time I joined a Hami red-side on Defiant they had already been going 3 hours and after another 3 hours of getting nowhere finally called it a day.

I haven't seen another one run since...

Ran Hami twice last night with my brute on green team 2. Had a total of 9 drops the first run (including the reward) and then 3 drops the second run. Not a bad evening!

The best way to fix this is to diversify the teams a bit. So for the Tank team(s), split it up a bit so the teams have a few people going after the blues and yellows too. As long as you're teamed with someone who's attacking the mitos, you get a chance of drops too.

It'll mean changing how raid teams are usually organized, but for the last couple of raids I stuck to the overflow team, just because the mix of ATs gave me more shard drops!

Not a bad idea. Shards seem to follow the standard rules for "anyone can get them" drops meaning as long as the team does 1 point of damage everyone gets a shard roll so just add 1 or 2 blasters/defenders/corruptors to the tank team and have them follow the assault teams, they should get drops from the blues/yellows.

Yes, it's a sort of jello-flavored chewing gum.

Good to know of course but for me its in the "meh" camp.

For the time to get organised for it, its just not worth it for me

You mean the 30 minutes since I logged in until we were killing Hamidon? We had two raids in a row both tuesday and wednesday, and they formed with no preparation whatsoever.

Didnt mean the time to get EoE's or whatever, just meant the time to get one organised. Ours takes at least a week before we even can organise one

Sorry for the confusion.

Can this increased drop rate also apply to the LGTF Hamidon? This could be pure luck of course but of the 3 LG's I did since I19 I got a shard of a mito each time.
