Mid's for I19 CRITICAL UPDATE

Thanks to @EnsonsDeath for the GVE code that made me VIP again!
Given your recent good news, will builds that were altered using the unofficial Fitness patch import into the i19 Mids?

Either way, I think everyone will be pleased with Diellan's update and GuyPerfects secret project.
Cheers

This. I'm not in the i19 closed beta and all this talk of "illegal" is ridiculous and silly.
|
I don't think the conversation needs to go down this path, so let me clarify a few things:
Leandro's work was not illegal. I don't believe he used any information from closed beta, and even if he did, it's still not illegal. Even if something violates the terms of the User Agreement, it doesn't mean it's illegal. NCsoft reserves the right to take action against their users' accounts or, if they feel they have suffered damages because of a user's actions, they can file suit, but working with these Fitness numbers doesn't qualify as criminal for any situation short of breaking into the Paragon Studios offices and stealing the data from their computers. |
To the Titan Network guys; you deserve the name. Stomping out player problems like freaking collosi awesome job. Keep it up!
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Well done guys, well done.

I'd like to add my vote of thanks. Keep up the amazing work!
Minor update:
The current development version of Mids is able to load up both I18 builds and unofficial I19 builds. Due to an error in the way the unofficial patch was implemented (namely when they copied the powers they didn't update the internal ID number so there are two powers with the same number and it gets confused), it won't read it properly though; instead, when loading up an unofficial I19 build, it will drop the bad fitness powers and load up the correct inherent fitness powers (it'll lose the slots and enhancements, so you'll have to readd them manually).
When you load an I18 build, it will load up exactly as now, except the Power Pool has been renamed to "Legacy Fitness". As soon as you remove the legacy fitness powers, it will add in the Inherent Fitness powers.
New builds, likewise, will use the Inherent Fitness powers unless, for some reason (like modelling an existing character you don't want to respec), you decide to give them powers from the Legacy Fitness pool, at which point it will drop the inherent ones.
As I said before, it is a priority for us to make the change to the new version as easy as possible, and I think we've pulled it off.

Got a Mids suggestion? Want to report a Mids bug?
I just want to add my heartfelt thanks to all the folks involved in the Mid's project over the years.
I have derived many, many hours of enjoyment from that program.
Thank you for all your hard work!

Debt barely slows down levelling these days. It's just a little bar that measures how much Awesome you've generated recently. (If you're not getting debt, you're just not trying to generate Awesome hard enough.) -Kelenar
Thanks for the heads up and all the work you guys put into Mids.
As another bit related to the unofficial update, and I assume caused by the same error, I found that if you revert to the basic i18 Mids, any build saved with the unofficial updates will have the fitness pool locked in as unchangeable. All of the powers show up as red and clicking them gives an error message about khelds and inherent powers.
Illegal in the fact that it is putting out CLOSED BETA info and numbers. Thus in violation of the EULA, thus ILLEGAL

Edit: even though the above post may be a bit rude, I am VERY thankful for all your hard work.
Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.
I'd rather not bump an older thread concerning mid's, but I don't want to derail the discussion with a bug report. :3
Crab Spider Soldier's Frag Grenade is greyed out at level 18, and the only way to pick it is by selecting Arachno Soldier's Frag Grenade as a prerequisite... but if you then select the Crab Spider's version, the first is invalid, and if you try to deselect the Arachno's one, Crab Spider's Frag Grenade is in red complaining it can't be used that way ingame (although you can now put slots into it).
Oh, if you put in any power from your primary or secondary as the level 41 power, it will act as a prerequisite to unlock level 44 powers from the patron pools for Crab Spider Soldiers. Dunno if it's the same for other Arachnos Soldiers.

We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Awesome, just plain awesome.
Doing this many respecs is going to be tough. Doing them without a build planner: Truly inconceivable!

Yeah, thanks for your hard work. I don't think I could play this game without Mids.
What're the chances of Mids on Ipad? I'd use it more than any other app!
Just thought I'd ask... And hope.
In my opinion, complex programs like Mids' would require far too much effort to be worth the time to port/remake for a pretty rare system like an iPad/iPhone/Droid/Zune/Nintendo DS/XBox. If modern hardware makers weren't so blind, they'd make their systems support Java or Flash something else that's already cross-platform. I mean, come on. The iPad doesn't support Java, but my really old RAZR phone does? Boo, Apple. Boooooo. :P
Mid's doesn't even work on Macs, you're gonna need to get over that hurdle first I'd think.

Hey, this is completely unrelated, so I don't know why I'm posting it, but Titan Network's next project is being written in Java.

At that point, and especially after reading out the problems other developers were having with getting their apps published (and given how I was getting jerked around just registering, I believed them), and especially reading how Apple is jerking other companies around (Google, Adobe, ...), and especially after pulling hair out learning Objective C, I sent them an e-mail asking for my $99 back along with some pointed comments of what I think about their developer program.
So no, there are no plans for any iOS development. Other platforms (Android and/or other phone/tablet platforms) are in the state of "not now, but not ruled out at some point."
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

I would love to have it on my iPhone, but it'd basically have to be rewritten from scratch, and my wife would kill me if I took on a project of that magnitude.

There is no "illegal" involved.
I really appreciate your work (and that of all the guys on the Mids Builder team), but I have to say, you seem a bit overly excitable.
