When Lois was giving her little sermon I was like, "Quote Pulp Fiction quote Pulp Fiction quote Pulp Fiction . . ." and then she whipped out the "great vengeance and furious anger" and I got a chuckle.

LOL, that was a Bible Quote in Pulp Fiction , not a Pulp Fiction quote ... also, nice to see Lois and Clark being truthful with eachother finally ... and that kid has got Lex's expressions down pact, that smirk was Wicked

I know but it was popularized by Pulp Fiction.

Also, one thing that stood out to me was how I heard Michael Rosenbaum was coming back because they were going to let him keep some hair or something, yet the kid balded himself.

Was an ok episode. I guess this was their attempt at a halloween story line, but frankly it was kinda terrible. Now if they just wanted to say that there were deposites of blueK around from the metor and that clark was going in and out of having powers as a result i wouldnt have minded so much, but to have the people infected with it from the water, i didnt care for.

Be intresting to see if they really have plans for Lex this year, or are they just attempting to bring him back from the dead in order to make sure that his iconic villian is not dead at the end of the last season.

I know it was ment as comedy but whenever smallville gets clark getting all romantic with someone i always think of that old bit about blowing a hole through lois with his love skills. It would have been kinda fun to have clark have kept a bit of the blue stuff and maybe made a ring or something out of it that he had to wear when they were getting down.

Overall an easily skippable episode though.

That was a plot point in an earlier season. A Kryptonian living on earth (yet another one) did just that... wore a blue kryptionite ring to be 'human'. It was silly and Brainiac killed him.

Actually, no, its a Pulp Fiction quote from the movie Pulp Fiction, pretending to be a Bible verse The actual verse is quite different, and not nearly as cool sounding. He says it several times in the movie, and it actually changes a little even within the movie, not always the same. But yeah, that was my favorite scene of the episode, I was cringing the rest of the episode. Lois's little sermon was all "Wow, see? I told you she could act!" and then 10s later the crap she was saying it was like, "Nope. I was wrong..."

I believe I read somewhere that Michael Rosenbaum was willing to do an occasional guest appearance as Lex Luthor sometime in the future. So yeah, Lex is coming back but only as a guest slot.

I was so hoping she was going to finish it with "Those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the lord". *Points to Clark* "When I lay my vengeance upon thee". Clark fries the guy right there and she picks up the gun and fires at the cop.

hehe, Actually, no, ... it really depends on which version of which publication of which translation you're refferanceing ... but it's all semantics, considering it's quoteing a quote of a quote of a quote

Such a bad episode. The b-plot was actually much better than the main story. Albeit, hokey in a few spots. There's been too many scenes this season of long, drawn-out, monologues that attempt to pull at the heart strings but end up being complete groaners. I've been fast forwarding through a lot of those. This episode, it was Tess.

Seeing a kid go evil though? Well, that's always good entertainment for me! (not sarcasm).

I like to think of Lex as being evil from the core. And a kid Lex that goes evil just sounds so right. Can't wait to have a grown Lex going on the rampage. Now, if he gets possessed by Darksied, then I'll have to punch a whole in my television and burn all my Superman comics.

Oh, and if kid Lex could manage killing Tess for good, then I'd be completely fine with that.

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

Sigh. I really wish Alexander was supposed to be... you know, Alexander Luthor, (Jr.), from the comics, and not going to grow up to become the new Lex. Really, really lame. I hope Michael Rosenbaum comes back and kills the clone as the real, NOT dead Lex Luthor.

While I disagree that child-lex growing up to be real-lex is a lame plot point (come on, evil children are always cool).... I think this idea is awesome.

I want real Lex back, too. even if this kid is a perfect clone, with 100% of Lex's memories, personality, etc, etc, etc, he just still be a copy. A perfect copy, but a copy, nonetheless.

I't like when O'Brien died on DS9 and had his alternate/ future self replace him. I spent the rest of the series thinking of him as "fake O'Brien".

This episode was ok. It wasn't great. But the series has been better this year than it has been in awhile. Or maybe that's because they are finally putting everything in place for Clark to put on the cape and be Superman. Anyway, seeing the glimpse of the future Clark and Lois a couple of episodes ago made me sad to see the show go. I was always hoping that they would change the name to Metropolis or something and keep going with Clark actually being Superman. Oh well, I guess all things must come to an end.

It's not horrible. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth because I really want Rosenbaum back, and saying he wasn't the real Lex the whole time seems to kind of cheapen what Rosenbaum did for 7 years on that program.

Haha, I remember that episode. I was a bit perturbed after first watching it, but it never really bothered me much after that. He's only fake in the sense that he's the O'Brien from an hour in the future or whatever. What disturbed me more was how screwed up he should have been (but, beyond the episode, wasn't) after experiencing 20+ years worth of memories of being in prison and murdering his cell-mate. Still one of my favorite characters.

Has Erica Durrance been taking acting lessons or is she still a worse Lois Lane than Margot Kidder (which is saying A LOT!!!)?

I've only seen a few of the episodes online (I think through Season 2. Don't remember if I saw any from Season 3).

For my own opinion I think Erica Durance is doing an exellent job.

He is coming back but they are letting him wear a bald cap instead of shaving.

I agree she is doing an excellent job. Her acting abilities when she was bending over in that sacrificial gown thingy were spectacular.
