Most of you who are familiar with Sean “Dr. Aeon” McCann know him as the evil scientist / developer behind Architect Entertainment and Mission Architect. What few people know is that he also happens to be the main designer of the first task forces that will enable players to use their newly acquired Incarnate abilities through Issue 19: Alpha Strike.

Hmm... interesting. I'd like to see what these Task Forces have in store if they were based off of the feedback from other TFs. Not a bad read!

Now, gimme more info! Or i19 plz!

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

Excellent. Just missing one thing: issue 19's official Release date.

If they're looking to the top end TF/SFs and the Feedback from the recently improved Positron, then they're off to a good start.

However, what I'm really stoked about is the use of the captioning system to assist the story. One of the things I dislike about our current teaming system is that it's not always possible to keep up with the story because only the team leader gets to see certain dialogue. So this looks like it could well be a step in the right direction.

Oh and hats off to them for putting the player centre stage. I never like playing second fiddle to NPCs so knowing that we will become more powerful than they are is quite exciting.

Isn't the captioning system what happens now in some of the newer content, such as when you are fighting your double and are getting their communications?

If this is true, I will be massively pleased with the incarnate system, and the new TFs.

Holy crap a dev who actually understands what the players want to be able to achieve. Bonus points for not making the task forces eight hours long or ridiculously hard to set up and coordinate (assuming what was said is correct). Bravo.

Hey if im going to be more powerfull than the main characters, then i want to be the one on the loading screen when i load up the game !

Good read and looking forward to playing it on numerous different characters. The one part that did catch my eye was the part where it says it drains the powers of non incarnates. Possible hint at power supression castle hinted at a year or so ago? If so, good way to make it happen imo Unless the taskforce doesnt let you start it unless your all incarnates . . . .

I'd say nice things about Dr. Aeon, but I got a lot of angry PMs from people the last time I did.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. Is that possible? So i could have a few of my main characters in fighting stances on the loading screen?

Also, can you please hurry i19 along. My new characters that are waiting to be made are getting . . . . . angry.

Let's hope they don't use the "let's send never ending waves of Council" in the last stage game design like in the Cuda SF.

Oh nice. However from a story/role playing standpoint I can't see Recluse standing idly by while someone surpasses his power levels.

Well, he kind of already has.
See the end of the arc: Time Again.
And storywise, you beat him at the HEIGHT OF HIS POWER in the future, meaning you're technically stronger than he is in the present.
He seems oddly pleased with this, and it personally leads me to the theory that Lord Recluse, being the Darwinist he is, has the main goal of simply Beholding what the Ultimate life form might be, what Ultimate power is like, and in reality cares little as to whether it's him, heroes, or villains, but simply to see the pinnacle of his ideals coming to fruition.

I find it rather interesting that Aeon mentioned high level TFs but ignored Lady Grey. However, I'm not surprised he gave props to Barracuda and not Khan.

I'm not surprised Lady Grey was omitted. It doesn't really have anything remarkable about it. No special mechanics or uber hard final battle. It's gimmick is that it's co-op.
