Pffft. Hatsune Miku (a Vocaloid, one of a series of computer programs that sings whatever lyrics you want in a nearly-human singing voice based on real-life voice samples) had a concert as a hologram.
Why is that better? Because Macross Plus predicted it in 1994.
Also it looked less horrifying.
Here's a Youtube video of the concert!

After seeing the OP's video and the Vocaloid's video, I have to admit that the Vocaloid's video is the better one based on moves and you are less likely to mistake them as a cute girl.
The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

SHARON! SHARON! SHARON!
Actually one thing that I found very interesting from that concert is the biometric monitoring wristbands. Then idea of redirecting the performance to areas of the stadium that are feeling left out is an interesting idea.

Well that's kinda...disturbing, actually. Maybe because it looks human, but is incapable of perfectly mimicking human movement and expression? Whatever the reason, that thing is just super creepy.

I for one welcome our cute, singing and dancing overlords, with a smile on my face and a glint in my eye.

Also, I didn't know the Vocaloids had a concert. That's pretty fun. Surprisingly, it seems to work pretty well, too. It's pretty amazing how popular those things have become, considering that they're just moe personifications of a vocalization software. They are pretty cute, though, and the technology behind them is kind of impressive.

Welcome to the Uncanny Valley. Good old Japan, they seem to like sending people here.

I figure we'll go through at least a few more decades of being subjected to "Uncanny Valley" examples like this until eventually, sooner or later, the technology will finally get good enough to get past that creepiness and become indistinguishable from the real thing.

The HRP-4C, the gynoid in that video, is interesting from the fact they tried to limit it's size and weight to that of the average Japanese female. What they sacrificed is speed of movement.
Funny thing however, real Japanese mass produced Idol singers move with the skill and amount when on stage. Now if they can fix the man hands.

At this point it's just a matter of how long it'll take to get there.
