i19 Can't Come Fast Enough!

I don't know about all y'all, but I'm really excited for I19 to hit the live servers. My lowbie characters, from tankers to my first-ever Kheld, are practically salivating at the thought of inherent fitness.

My higher-level characters can't wait for the extra challenges and rewards from Alpha Slot/incarnate stuff.

And a shameless plug for GR: probably the best money I've yet spent on CoH/V - and I've been playing since 2007! Loving every feature so far, and i19 seems to add so many more Q0L (merged monorails/ferries stands at the top) features... yay!

Finishing with a question (which I hope I can ask): so when is it coming? Halloween? US Election Day? Day between? Or... Soon™?

Current money is on November.

Total speculation, but my guess is 11/2.

Why?

Reason #1: They usually come out on Tuesday.
Reason #2: The final event of the Meet and Greet season is 11/6 and I think with most of the devs there at the NorCal event, I think having it to blow about would be something they would like to do. They could also release it on 11/6 as a celebration of the end of their 'tour," but that's a Saturday and it's unlikely to have it released on a Saturday.
Reason #3: It's election day and I vote WIN.

But then, it's just a guess, so it could come out on a Wednesday in December, for all I know.

Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Well because of the Halloween Event the earliest it could now happen is November 2nd. I would suspect it'll be more like November 9th or 16th. The "Tuesdays" are always the safest bet and I figure they want to have it out the door well before Thanksgiving.

I agree with Lothic. Releasing a major patch right before half of the team leaves the office for the meet & greet is not a good option (if something goes wrong there are fewer people around to fix it), and similarly I doubt they'll want to release it Thanksgiving week for the same reason so the 9th, the 16th or December sound like the reasonable options.

I predict that they will release I19 on a day that ends with the letter 'y'.

Remember, you heard it here first.

The new booster being released on the 3rd tells me not likely. My guess? Booster first. Then i19 two weeks later.

/this.

The most made comment among myself and COH-playing friends recently is "I19 needs to be here now."

I've respecced a few characters, put off respecs on a few others, just for some of what I19's going to do - and with some exceptions, it's going to make me use dual builds less often.

Oh geez.

At least it's not as bad as the "I want Going Rogue NAO!" that we had to put up with for the past year and a half.

It never ceases to surprise me just how people can completely ignore everything in the game and spend all their time and energy waiting for something new.

I would push your day to 11/4. Patch day is now on Thursdays. Halloween event classically started on Tuesdays, but started on Thursday this year, for example.

@Gilia1
I play heroes on Champion.
I play villains on Virtue.

I would hardly be willing to assume "Patch day is now on Thursdays" just because we've had one example of that in recent history. The Halloween event this year is just a slightly updated version of the same code that's been used 5 times now - I would not call it a "patch" in the traditional sense of it being a new permanent code baseline.

If you look back at the history of when Issues were released in this game you'll see almost all of them have been on Tuesdays. Until something like the next 3 or 4 Issues in a row are all on Thursdays I'm not going to worry too much about changing my expectations.

"Completely ignore everything?" Step away from the hyperbole... Speaking only for myself, I'm certainly partaking of the live game. But there are definitely things I have put off because of I19 (for instance, I'd rather wait to start my KM Scrapper until inherent fitness takes effect).

Later on,

Yep, Tuesday is a popular "patch day" for several MMOs for this very reason. Monday gives time for a last minute go/no-go discussion and last minutes fixes to the build. Tuesday is patch day. Wednesday through Friday gives time to fix any critical issues that slipped through QA and everyone is (hopefully) free to go home and relax over the weekend.

In this case, it's because that's going to be a huge change for quite a number of characters.

Unfortunately, I'm already burned out on the zombie thing. And pre-burned-out on Winter and V-day, too. But I'm not arguing for changes for them this year *because* of GR, I19 and I20. Our dev team is quite properly involved in other things.

I couldn't agree more. Knowing this is in the pipeline and arriving "soon" is driving me nuts. It's like parking a '69 camaro in my garage and telling me I can drive it "soon"....but its right there!!! Nope, not yet. BUT ITS RIGHT THERE!!!! Nope, soon. *sigh* All that is left is to sit here and longingly stare, waiting for the keys to the hot rod.

This cannot get here fast enough.

The Revenants and Vengeance Imperium-Triumph, Champion & now flavoring Justice!

Tanker Tuesdays & Brutal Thursdays. If you like fun, look'em up!

Shhh! Rangle is plotting.

I've got a couple of Praetorians basically rolled up and waiting at like level 2 just for I19 (and its Inherent Fitness) to drop.
Fortunately I have the Halloween Event to placate me for another week or so until I get antsy to play the new ones again.

Agreed with the OP!

As for guessing the release date... I've been leaning towards within two weeks of the Origins Pack (November 3rd).
I just hope I'm not being too optimistic with that. For all we know, it could get pushed back, possibly beyond the Thanksgiving holiday (Although, that seems unlikely... I'm trusting in a Fall release... but things happen and sometimes cause things to be delayed and all... better to be prepared).

I recently started a MA/SR scrapper and... I have to admit that most of my characters/ATs/Powerset Choices never really made me desire Stamina MORE.
Oh, I've chosen Stamina with many of my characters, but few of them felt like they needed it for the sake of my fun.

I am pretty sure that MA/SR is an exceptional candidate for WANT STAMINA NAO... However, I am also certain that knowing inherent Stamina is around the corner is making it a million times worse.
I really need to go in and slot those End. Reductions into my attacks (Which I have not done).
I just want my inherent stamina, heehee...

Of course, there are plenty of other things I am looking forward to.

Fortunately, as that less-than-perfect Guy inferred, I do enjoy the game as is and am having a blast regardless of my eagerness for I19!!

Honestly, the day of or the day before the new Booster hits would be a logical time to release the new issue. That way, the patch that releases the issue and the patch that includes the Booster can come together, and you only need to do one patch for two things.

Yes - like gimme those APAs already.

My guess...

October 31st!

What could be a better treat from the devs than the patch on Halloween!

It's quite likely, given the close timing of these two things, that the big patch that gives us I19 will also have all the code for the new booster pack included. Actually depending on how long they've been tinkering with those new capes and auras some (if not all of it) is probably already in the current live build.
