So, if Fitness becomes inherent...

Are we likely to get a new pool to replace it? 4 new powers to give our characters an extra bit of oomph, character or something that will simply flesh them out a bit more?

Probably a bit much to hope for but would be nice I feel

I'm hoping some of the power pools will be revamped. Mostly these three, but I wouldn't mind seeing more worthy tier 4 powers in the travel pools.

Presence - I don't recall seeing anyone other than two or three MMs (for the AoE taunt) have this power pool. Ever.

Stealth - it's good for PvP because of Phase, but for PvE it's mostly used for LotG +Rech mules.

Medicine - in most cases inspirations are better than this power pool. Aid Other has such a short range and small heal that it's virtually useless. Stimulant's duration and range are also too short. In most cases Respites > Aid Self because either you have so much mitigation you rarely need it or you're being hit with so many things you wouldn't have a chance of pulling Aid Self off. Inspiration combining for Wakies > Resuscitate.

I've used stealth to great effect on a couple of toons - just the one power mind but the stealth power and a stealth IO gives far better invis than the invisibilty power

I have never taken medicine myself and I should on Scarlet's 2nd build just for the badge - eventually, and presence... yeah very much in agreement

The power pool powers have always been a way to round out a player character from a powers standpoint--but I've always wanted to see them as a resource for expanding a character from an RP standpoint as well. Add a broadsword power pool (IE, just Hack and Slash, etc.) or a mastermind power pool (IE Summon Two Minions). Could be fun.

Well, we've been saying they should expand the power pools for literal years, so I agree with the general sentiment of this thread. Maybe that's what they're testing in that Beta everyone's talking about?

I've got 2 scrappers who tank for their groups who have the Presence taunt because it's an AoE rather than a single like the scrapper taunt.

I've got 2 characters with the Medicine pool all the way up.

There are characters who use the powers, even if you don't see 'em

I'd actually like to see them leave the Fitness pool in place after making it inherent. That way one could double-up on Swift, Health and/or Stamina, if that's one's desire. Much like a Regen or Willpower character can take the powerset's recovery-boost power and Stamina and pretty much never worry about endo again. I wouldn't double-up on most of my characters, but there are some who I would love to.

This might also solve the possible issue with slots caused by fitness becoming inherent. Double Stamina could allow some Endo Reduction enhancements to be dropped, freeing up slots for other powers.

I still want the pie pool. Yes I realize that it would be overpowered but it would also be oh so tasty.

I doubt you'll see it Sleestack. They already said we'd get a respec so we could convert any older characters .. so the only way to get the fitness powers as inherents will be to respec and give up the old power pool ones. The whole move is in response to many here on the forums screaming for years to make stamina an inherent because people got sick of having to eat blues like candy or rest between practically every other mob until they hit 20/21.

I could see them coming up with a new power pool .. Not sure what but it would be nice to have an added option. How about a strictly defensive power pool.. one that increases Damage Resistance, adds Defensive buffs and even provides Mez protection (sleeps, holds, immob, and knockback).. imagine a Blaster with that and even my Crab Spider could benefit from something to eliminate knockback/knockdown.

This would just lead to "Stamina is required so you never have to slot endred" again.

Here's what I'd like to see: Flavors of the existing power pools.

Background: Power pools are generic offerings to all characters. With power customization, some powers have alternate weapons/animations.

So, for example, the Medicine pool could have, in addition to the tricorder device, a magical flavor, a nanite/cyborg flavor, and a mutant essence-flow flavor. It opens up the travel powers to have some alternative approaches for the same basic body animations (think pre-order sprints). And so on.

Not only does this add an RP element for many people, but it also opens up the pools to people who now have additional power choices but may not like the specific look and feel of some pool powers.

All my characters are concepts, and since they all have Fitness, I'm looking at what to replace those 3 or 4 power selections with. Something like this would make taking additional pools that much more exciting.

I'd like the Leadership toggles not to have such a stupidly obscene end/sec cost. For what they do, it's only really viable on a few of my toons, such as my MM and my Empath.
And Tough and Weave are guilty of this. Sure, they are nice bonuses, but they already take up a power pick, slots and a power pool choice. Getting penalised with end/sec cost is a bit much to have on top, IMO.

I'd love to see a Pet Power Pool created.

Tier 1, immobile attack pet. Minor damage and fairly slow attack rate with moderate HP

Tier 2, Immobile Taunt pet. PBAoE 16 target Taunt with a 25 foot range at 400%. Pet has low health so 2-3 hits will kill it. It's a distraction, nothing more.

Tier 3, Buff Pet. PBAoE pet with a minor bonus to defense, damage, and damage resistance for all within a short range of it. Numbesrs similar to maneuvers/assault unslotted.

Tier 4, Buff Pet. PBAoE +Regen +Recovery pet. Numbers similar to health+stamina unslotted.

Could be neat. >.>

That one would have to be called "Tree of Get A Life, Losers!"

Or alternatively, Handey's Tree, because it would scream all the time for no good reason, until the enemies destroyed it.

I'm looking forward to being able to do stuff like add Epic pools to people who cannot have them now. I am fine with the choices we have now; an extra three picks to work with will be wonderful.

I'd really rather see new powersets for the ATs, than new pools. But that is just me.

I'd like to see the Power Pools revamped as well, and made customizable.

A couple changes I would like (but I realize many wouldn't) is to buff the Leadership Pool, but make it Ally-only, and make the Fighting Pool available to non-Melee ATs only. Melee ATs would have access to a new Pool that would have ranged and maybe support abilties.

I would vehemently detest all of these ideas. Pool powers shouldn't have to favor specific AT's past the natural modifiers inherent within an AT. That's what Epic Pools are for, and why they are so specialized towards the AT utilizing them.

I want a new travel power. Rocket pack. It would basically be the jump jet as a toggle with more forward momentum and the option to have a rocket animate with the power. So it would be a quasi flight where you cannot stop moving without falling, and your control is greatly reduced to mostly straight lines.

Granted, this probably wouldnt appeal to most people, but i stil think it would be fun.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

I see what you're saying but the trouble is if their cost is reduced then the world and his dog takes them and the game gets even easier.

More likely we'll see a revamp of current pools, rather than a brand new one to pick from. We'll still only get 4 pools + APP/Patron.

There's plenty of things that could be tweaked in existing pools that would make them all better, and wouldn't require as much work.

I still dream of a 'Utility Belt' pool that basically lets you hold onto specific temp powers...

1. Passive +ToHit and increased accuracy to all Temp powers as well as resistance to ToHit debuffs.

2. Click that removes a temp power from your belt and eliminates the 'counter' for the next temp power used. Long Rech. Without this, any temp power you add to your belt is permanent unless you use a /respec

3. Temp Power Placeholder 1 shared rech

4. Temp Power Placeholder 2 shared rech

Not only are the 2 belt holder powers on a shared rech, but they are on their cooldown time, not the power you store in it.

...and no, no Amy's Wards or some such powers. I could see stuff like Rune of Warding or Iron Blade or maybe even crafted powers like Envenomed Dagger as possible candidates. It'd be an interesting little game if certain temp powers were unique to certain missions and you could hunt for those unique powers by participating in those missions.

I like that idea of making some Temp powers permanent, some of them are really interesting or just provide some flavor. The Holy Shotgun Shells for instance, or the Bow you get in Croatoa. It seems odd for a Power Pool to provide this service, but what the heck, I'm down with it.

The idea of a Ranged/Support pool for meleers (or anyone really) sounds good, but not at the expense of locking out Fighting to ranged types.
