Who Are Your Favorite Teammates?

What powersets/Archetypes do you love to see on your team??

I personally love Ice Tanks, Thermal Corruptors or Controllers, Ice Controllers/Dominators, and Archery Blasters.

depends largely on who I'm playing, but if I'm playing a toon that deals only lethal damage, I LOVE anyone who can lay out -res debuffs.
But in general, I play only with friends, so I don't care if they brought along something horribly gimped, I'll love'em as a teammate all the same.

I *don't* like seeing a teammate with the same powerset as mine...

It really depends on what I'm playing. If I'm playing a blaster or other squishy, I like lots of buffers/healers on the team. If I'm playing a scrapper or other non-squishy damage dealer, I like debuffs. If I'm playing ice or earth controllers or doms, I don't like having other controllers or doms on the team. If I'm playing a tank, I don't like other tanks on the team.

I've never minded seeing other tanks on the team, myself. It just means that if I do something really stupid, there's someone to back me up.

Then again, I do have a hyperagressive Fire/Fire tanker...

Anyway, Radiation Emission's always tasty in all its forms, as are Kineticists, but I'm more interested in the team being competent and meshing well than any specific powerset.

This. For some reason it just bothers me. I usually play Kheldians though so it's not really a problem most of the time.

Wanna play a Peacebringer? Don't believe the hype. Check out my guide and get the real truth:
PEACEBRINGERS SUCK!!! (Now fully up to date for i21+ )

I don't require the body to be warm, I love Venge and Fallout.

The player needs to have a warm body. not the character.

Zombies scare me.

I think it brings out my competitive nature and suddenly I feel in competition. Of course it depends what set I'm playing. My FF/AR Defender used to give me a huge complex over this. My other characters not so much for some reason.

When I'm playing my Inv/SS tanker, anything with shields, especially Sonic (the best of all sets, ever ).

One or more VEATs.

I usually make the characters that I would like to see on the other side of the table. I have various kinetics on heroes and villains, tanks that tank, scrappers that can jump in first and live, and even awesome looking concept characters. I hate seeing cookie cutter builds with cookie cutter names. Throw some color in, a cool back story and voila! unique character. I always wish I would see fulcrum shift when I am on my blaster or fire tank, but I seldom do. I also like to see stormies and other such "not the best builds". My grav/storm controller absolutely stopped caring what the team looked like after hibernate. With all the chaos, no one will notice me getting all my health and endurance back. I also like to see bubblers and competent empaths. Bubbles are like a green light for destruction. It's a kitchen pass from your wife. It's that liquid courage from jack and coke... And as for empaths, I just want one that does not insist on giving fortitude to the stone tank. Some others may "need it" but on a stone it means we shouldn't be fighting purples, and that the rest of us are out of luck barring one person. I mean, it's great that the one person who had the best chance at living anyway gets the buff, but as they are there proving how strong they are with granite and fortitude, the rest of us are returning from the hospital.

You mean you can tell the difference between when people just hit buttons and when they faceroll?

I'll go with this in nearly every circumstance. The times where a team needs "x" are pretty few.

That said any group of competent players on a team with adequate damage and mitigation is just great.

Probably an aggressive SoA who has maneuver leadership(s).

Because even if I invited a buff Corr/Defender, it doesn't mean they'll keep the buffs on or heal me in time.

But if I team with an aggressive SoA, at least I know I'll get the defense buff within the range. They deal very good damage overall so what's not to like as a teammate?

I sometimes hate teaming with a Tanker/Brute if he insists on "herding" or complains that "no knockbacks" please. I find that very "anal".

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

Emps, SO I can tell them how lame they are, and prove it by not needing thier piddly heal aura or thier crappy cm on my widow......

I like teaming with anyone. Bad teammates are always bad because of the player, not the AT. Some ATs and powersets attract more bad players but that's to be expected.

Emps have Recovery Aura. Any Widow who doesn't need more end recovery is one so IOed out that anything seems lame

7 seven players, who know how to use their powers! Fine, you're a KIN without SB, I can live without it, but please, don't go spamming Smoke, and think it's really helping

Don't be a tank dying due to lack of mez protection, and blame the rest of the team (and even if you don't blame the team, take your mez protection).

7 players who (more so for the late game than the 1-29) who are slotted (with SO's or IOs, just be slotted).

7 players looking for fun and don't ragequit because a team wipe happened.

7 players who aren't looking to speedrun the taskforce, but still trying not to take FOREVER on it.

But if we're talking about powerset combos...

Truthfully, Blasters and Kheldians tend to be my last pick, and when forming teams for TF, after spamming globals/broadcast saying I'm forming a TF, I always tend to look for Thermals, Sonic, Force Fielders, and my favorite, Cold Domination users!

Great, now I want to run an ITF with nothing but sheilders!

My favorite teammate is whatever character my wife happens to be playing.

We took an illusion/storm controller and broadsword/dark armor scrapper to 50 as a dedicated duo, so we can make any combination work.

Since we're sitting right next to each other tactics are really easy to get down with any particular pair we're running.

My team preferences are more based on the players playing them than what the character is.

Two nights ago my just-respecced Widow and a Empath teamed up in the RWZ. She was a hideous killing machine. AB + Fortitude + the two Auras meant my recharge was ridiculous, my Defense immense, I couldn't run out of End if I tried and any 1-in-20 hit which did get through regenerated insanely fast.

Ironically half the reason I was in the RWZ was to try and gauge her new melee-only build and End consumption. The Empath made that impossible (but in a good way).
