Who Are Your Favorite Teammates?
Colds.

Yes, I have to agree with the people that say 'a good pklayer' but assuming that, there are still some that are just good to have around.
A good blaster: honestly, I've heard people say things like "we need a tanker/brute," "we need debuffs," and "we need some healing," but it's far less common to hear people say 'we need a blaster.' Yet I've been on so many tf's, missions, etc. where having a blaster or two who knows how to (a) stay alive and (b) make sure the enemies do not follow (a) made the whole thing smooth as silk.
A good dominator: I know, people like their 'trollers, but I've found it's often due to the secondaries. Doms just have control and damage, but their controls really rock the house. If you have somebody on the team that can lock foes down, knows which to lock first, and knows when to hit the magic button to lock down hard targets, you've saved yourself a major headache. The fact that you can stop worrying about problem targets because they have it covered no matter what makes them a great asset. Yes, I know 'trollers can do this too...I've just found the control over the extra mag/mez duration makes doms shine with a good player at the helm.
A good trick arrow player: knowing when to use the debuffs, where, and how to stack them may not be rocket science, but I've seen too many that drop them as battles move or finish, wasting the debuffs. ...And yes, I know slotting comes into this too. But while a trick archer won't bring you back from the dead, they can make smobs melt, throw down hold, and keep thing clumped. A good team with a good trick archer makes the group into a steamroller. Sure the set might need a few tweaks, but it's still darned helpful.
A mastermind with their pets controled in binds: the fact that they bring aggro distractors, damage, and buffs/debuffs is great..but if you don't have to worry about the pets in the way or runaway minions? Golden.
A good empath. Only three of the powers are heals, folks. Seeing half the team sporting fortitude and the mez fly my way only to float away without asking for a clearmind? Awesome. Also when they notice when the team is clumped and throw their RA's without shouting "Gather! runto me runto me! NOW!" 'Tis good stuff. oh yeah, and noting that when ever you get hurt, you get unhurt without saying anything. It's good. The best empaths I've seen let me concentrate on my job before realizing Oh yeah...THAT's why I've been hitting well, surviving, coming through stuff with way more health/energy...because they're awesome but didn't need people to ask/come to them for help.
Best team I've been on was completely made up of scrappers and we did the first all scrapper stf. The level of cooperation in that was unbelievable by any standard and we almost Mo'd it.
I'd team with them players no matter what they're playing.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
Short answer: Storm.
My favorite teammate is somebody with a stylish costume/concept who plays their character well. Could care less about optimal builds, FotM, etc.
I like playing with competent players, and dislike playing with toons that scatter/kb/wide area immob foes.
The more people I meet, the more I'm beginning to root for the zombies.
That being said, I do love any and all characters with force multiplication powers which pretty much means Defender, Corruptors, Controllers, Masterminds and VEATs (Dominators are ok as well). Once you start stacking force multiplication the game becomes ridiculously easy.
Unique characters, so that our power combinations create new and interesting situations.
Call me elitist (true, somewhat) but when I see Fire/Kin, Ill/Rad, Elec/Shield, Bots/Traps, or Fire/Dark I instantly lose interest in that character unless they've got a very interesting concept. Those sets are just so done, and I get tired of them. The fact that on PUGs they are so often poorly played (because the people behind them took them because they heard they were the "best") makes my prejudice more pointed.

Any teammate is a good teammate in my book. If they invite me, or accept my invite, they are worthy . I've only ever kicked someone for going on a prolonged AFK and they were still inside a completed mission. Otherwise, the more the merrier. We were all newbies once. Heck, I even teamed with someone who didn't speak the same language as anyone else on the team...that was a challenge!
Unlike some of you, I am OK with having the same AT, or even powerset(s), on my team. There is something...sexy...about having two Martial Art scrappers on the same team. I've even caught the rest of my team drooling at us as we played ping pong with Crane Kick. Ah, power twin, I miss you...
I do get a little competitive with my power twins though, but it's all in good fun.
I love to see teammates that have both or at least one of the same powerset(s) as the toon i'm using...without saying its always a quiet competition between them and I...like when i'm using my ma/sr scrapper, i like to have other ma toons or sr toons teaming with me...just to see who gets the most kills, does the most damage, or keeps their health bar fullest...its all about friendly competition. d;-)
adapting is more fun to me than complaining about change

Anybody who's not deadweight and who is having fun. Bonus points for occasional snappy banter.

I like having a tank, brute, or scrapper on the team to take up some damage so I can focus on killing stuff and not having to play so much defense.
Even if I'm playing one of those ATs, I still like having another one around to soak up some of the damage. I'm not good at building towards defense and survivability; I just like killing stuff.
@Joshua.
Good SoAs who take their toggles+leadership.
In a game where no powerset combination is "gimped," it is more about the player than the character.
Rule Five: Any build, any budget, no exclusions.

Blasters.
Because even an incompetent Blaster can't help but do their job.
I tend to not mind who is in my team. Though there are times when I say to myself "Yey, and X"
Tankers arn't too necessary but they can help some teams I'm on, if only to taunt things to be easier to hit with AoE's and run in first because everyone waits 10 minutes before each group because they don't want to take a x8 alpha.
But most of the time I like when someone who has a heal joins... As long as it isn't an Emp... The odd heal every now and then does wonders but Emps tend to "Healbot" and slack on the damage side to predominantly heal...
Any somewhat competent Kin (not the melee) even when I'm already playing one of my /Kins.
