Or you could just use your 2 hero merits to buy a recipe thats selling for a lot of money [like a +recharge one perhaps?] and then buy your respec recipe and have change?

OR you could do that a few times have enough to buy a couple of purples buy the time it takes to get to the required amount to buy a purple/pvp IO.

OR you could just do the tips as a casual with the knowledge that you will get something that you want/need with the bonus of all that extra money you would have picked up along the way without the "random factor" put in.

Purples/PvP have to high because they are supposed to be super rare. Though respec recipes for 10 is 10x too high

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I get the impression that you're way way too obsessed about respecs. Why are you changing builds so much?

O_I, please stop.

While your desire is somewhat reasonable, the way you've presented, and continue to present, your case isn't helping your cause any. If anything, your hurting your own cause by your attitude and lack of tact.

kinda what i'm trying to say. there are much less lame, time consuming and more cost effective methods to obtaining these. so why such a lame system?

yeah purps and pvp ios are rare but those numbers are just way too lame.

That the words VERY RARE RECIPE actually mean something...

^ Pretty much this.

There are some players who eschew farming or marketeering entirely and this is the method for them. There are faster ways to get what you want, but if there's some people that like to do it this way then I have no bones to pick on the system as implemented.

Just like merits, its a way so a casual player has a chance to get something that they want at their own pace without having to farm as such.

Just takes a while

The PvP +defense unique goes for 2 billion influence when it's available at all. 30 alignment merits seems a bargain to me. That's the only PvP recipe I care about since they destroyed PvP in I13.

Oh, those numbers are looking pretty good then. I've heard how easy it was to make merits fast and buy uber stuff, so it's refreshing to hear somebody complain about the system.

And... well... enjoy all of your I19 respeccing.

This. Normally, I just lol at people who say that IOs are out of casuals reach. But it was true for PvP recipes. Now it's not. Not seeing what there is to complain about.

It's a Vampire Ham. I hear it's delicious with Bloodwine and Steaks.

while someone else spends 7 days farming pvp ios with a friend and works the market, then buys 2 glad armors uniques, slots 1 and sells the other off market for 3 bil and has 23 or 53 days to do something else.

I fail to see the issue here. If you really do 220 mission in 40 days as a level 50 chances are you'll have gotten a purple recipe or two while doing the missions. Purples drop at a rate of about 1 every 5000 enemies right. In 220 missions you should be fighting quite a bit more than that even at the lowest settings. So what they've really done is made purples less rare for those with the sense to see it for what it is.

You don't have to do anything.

Since you're so opposed to "farming," or even presumably playing the game at 50 (since even without farming you can earn more than enough to buy a respec recipe for each build in a reasonable time frame) what do you need respecs or dual builds for?

Well you could farm them yes, or you could just play them since you are technically doing different missions. Each one can be completed rather quickly or "played properly" can be great fun to level up in.

It really is something that in the longterm is of benefit for the game.

But the thing is though, that the options are now there for people to get non purple/pvp IOs at VERY low costs [2 hero merits] for items that are selling in the [atm on live] 100 - 300 mill range.

Would i save up 30 HM for a pvp IO? No, because i'ld make the money from the above option well before i get to there and just buy it off the market. However for people who dont want to pay that kind of money [even if they have it], the option is there via HMs now whereas before they would never had gotten it

Why are we still calling them PVP IOs if you can get them from PVE?

Well since they dont DROP in PvE and they have more benefits in PvP than PvE, if you want the technical answer

What is this the 6th or 7th thread the OP has started about wanting more respecs? You'd think he'd learn to drop it considering the mods have locked or deleted half of his threads on the subject.
