When dark melee got buffed a while back, all the versions of soul drain were changed to match. Except the corr version.

Correction: Soul Drain from Dark Melee has always been two minutes. The Defender and Dominator versions have always been two minutes. The Corruptor version has always been four minutes. However, shortly after I13 the Dominator version was changed to four minutes, and the Defender version was supposed to get changed, but it either was and then got accidentally reverted back a few patches later or never was. Why it hasn't been fixed to how it's supposed to be in the last two years boggles my mind.

The disparity between app's and ppp's has been an ongoing issue for many players since ppp's hit the Isles. Back in the day many players stated dissatisfaction with ppp's. In fact? PPP's were basically labeled trash even in the beta of the issue in which they originated. PPP's are still the same but over two years later villians get app's. Players actually said, " This PPP stuff is crap compared to App's.. cant we just have those?" So? I guess there is hope for improvement if a player has an awful lot of patience. I have to add that a minor tweak here and there does not constitute an overhaul to actually make powers have more utility.

Welcome to Cox.... same story every day.Even years later. I am convinced there is a timewarp here .The game in a continuum where everything remains the same as just a few unimportant things are changed but the larger issues remain ignored.Throw on another issue and an expansion and call it all good.

and to the OP: i have so far swapped mu mastery for fire on my plant/psi doing direct ports for fireball->ball lightning and mu guardian for rain of fire and the shields are all the same. all its shown me is how underpowered ball lightning really was. rain of fire is a welcome addition though and with my build and slotting i can have it out just about permanently if i can manage the endurance cost. on teams, my attack chain is all AoEs. it truly is like a mix between tank/brute and blaster, but you definitely have to know what youre doing.

one thing im afraid of is castle nerfing good things based on what skilled people with heavily IO'd builds can do with them. its what got us the stigma that domination 1.0 had as being weak unless you invested a ton of resources into them and everyone only using fire/psi.

Doms are not buffers... they are hold you kill you...... if you dont like Psi Mastery pick another APP. Every PPP/APP has the " wicked stepchild" thrown in.

Pretty sure the defense and tohit values granted are intended to be as small as they are, but the psi resistance value probably has a decimal point misplaced (should be 17% instead of 1.7%).

Oh, it's coming, don't you worry. Just let the blasters complain for a bit about how they're not the damage kings and all that, and the brutes about how they had fury nerfed and now aren't as powerful. They'll start pointing at doms and saying it's not fair a CONTROL AT has as much or more dmg and that we're stealing team slots... blah blah blah.

So finally got the Ice Mastery pool slotted on my Fire/Psi domie.

It's insanely good. Flash fire, Sleet, Ice Storm, Fire Cages, PSW. Most minions melt in seconds. Lt's and Bosses are tougher but still they are immobilized firmly on top of Sleets debuff. Even on my piss-poor semi-perma build. I can only imagine what a High-end permadom can do.

I'm enjoying it for now, but I'm not holding out hope things will stay like this. It really is too good for words.

Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi

Honeslty, I have no clue if this is WAI or not.

I'm completely perplexed by what's the plan here regarding APPs. This game has great DEVS and even when I don't agree with them, I can say most decisions they make are based on logic and data.

Which is what is so odd here..these sets are just so damend good. Maybe I'm too used to getting nothing red side, that when something great came along, I distrust it!!!

Castle's already confirmed that Sleet's going to have its recharge increased (probably to 120 or 240 seconds, up from the current 60) so that's probably about all you'll see for nerfs in regards to Cold Mastery. For those going on about how good their Fire/Psi is, you have to remember that current /Psi is a shadow of what it was only a few issues ago (hello, PSW nerf), so I wouldn't expect further nerfs.

Right now, my Plant/Psi dom is stupidly good. Softcapped S/l, Proc'ed out Creepers, and Sleet is perma on my high recharge build. I drop sleet, Creepers, and ice storm on top of two mobs and I can pretty much walk away and come back to a bunch of dead bodies, and then do it again. Even when sleet gets its recharge double, my high recharge will ensure sleet will be up 50% of the time, just like ice storm. The combo is great. Of course, I would drop it in an instant for the old Domination/PSW.

Dominator's APP is insanely good at the moment.

Energy Transfer only 20s recharge? Either Mids is wrong or new changes are coming.

Yeah, Sleet's is crazy good at 60s recharge and debuffs 30%.

Man, APPs make Patron powers look so lame... T_T


What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

I like pets but having a pet doesn't mesh too well with 4 villain AT. For one, I don't want my Stalker having a pet following me and aggroing! I think that alone feels like a design flaw. Corr having a pet is good because corr can help the pet. Brute having a pet is ok I guess. Dominator having a pet is fine.

They can keep the long recharge on patron pet but get rid of the duration! :P

heh I just realized that my dominator has access to fireball now so my ice/fire dom can now call down the aoe hurt in the classic blaster way but from the compleate saftey of a ice patch.

patch, rain, ball, breath, whatever else seems like it should be wrong with aggro jack helping kill the stragglers.

Dear devs, please fix Energy Transfer:

Its awesome awesemosity is so high I cannot control using it every time its up. I am finding myself at 20%-40% life way too frequently without getting hit once by my foes. My high recharge build is not making any things better.

I fear at this rate I will kill myself and my enemies will be surrounding my corpse with a perplexed look on their faces, where one will say "he killed himself to kill Pat, and now his corpse seems happy. . ."

Please save me from myself.
