Fantastic stuff mate. Liked the in game metaphors of real life events. And speaking of RL events, I hope you come to the player meet this weekend. I wasn't planning on going but with the game closing I thought I'd better tag along. Please come if you can.

I'd love to see the empty space on the login/server select screens used for some kind of news and announcements feed.

So you want them to write an entirely new version of the game for tablets and then be stuck providing support and patches to three different clients? I truly hope that the devs never waste that kind of time and money on a tablet client.

Also, I laugh at the prospect of getting City of Heroes to run on the cpus and gpus that are inside tablets. CoH runs like a pig on my quad core desktop never mind a poxy tablet.

Finally, on a slightly elitist note, I'd rather keep CoH out of the hands of tablet 'gamers'.

IMO the fairest way in the event of a conflict is to award the unmodified global to the longest active account.

It is not fair to have to give up your global to an NA account just because you have an EU account. Just as others were saying that its not fair for an NA account to lose its global to a 1 month EU account, it is also not fair for a 6 year EU account to lose its global to a 2 year NA account. The thing all you NA players have to remember is that even if this seems like a minor issue, after years and years of second class treatment this just feels like a final kick in the teeth to a lot of us.

And as a side note, I find it amusing that the people who are at no risk of losing their globals are the ones trying to tell us that its no big deal.

Its not so much that it was too hard, its that it wasn't FUN. I didn't actually die that many times on this, but each time I went to the hospital I kept thinking "why am I doing this?".

Walking through mires of debuffs at lvl 20 for several missions with only DOs is not my idea of fun. I couldn't even fall back on reading the story because it just makes no sense, for all the reasons Samuel_Tow listed. So I dont have any reason to do this either for myself or my character.

I think this arc would be much better suited to being 10 levels higher. Its not like we need more 20-30 content at this stage anyway.



Oh and GG, I dropped the mission because I couldn't face going back in on my own, as all my NPC allies had died. I was bad enough with them helping me. I really wish we could read clues and dialogue from a mission after we'd finished it. Really help for those boss fights where the boss and the hostage will spam 3-4 speech bubbles each at the start of the fight.

Yeah, I just attempted this on my lvl 20 Fire/Dark Corr straight out of Praetoria.

Ouch.

Always hated fighting the PPD villainside, so I just stealthed as much of the missions as I could. Didn't manage to fine all 12 of the Rogue PPD in the burning building and when I finally found the guy I was supposed to rescue, he didn't seem to want to run as fast as possible. He just did the usual crappy NPC escort nonsense.

Then theres the second to last mission, where you have the 3 PPD with you. So I try to fight my way through the Rogue PPD. Also get spammed with ever changing mission objectives before I can even make sense of what the hell I'm supposed to be doing (more on this later). Anyway, I get to a bit where I end up fighting 2 groups at once due to the map layout, I cant heal my allies because I have perma flashbang on me (often 2 applications). Oh wait no, I cant heal because I'm held half the time. Oh wait no I cant get to them to heal them because my runspeed it debuffed. Oh wait Twilights Grasp isn't even recharged yet becase of the recharge debuff. All my allies die. Screw this.

In the hospital I drop the mission.

Talk to Roy. Dont understand a thing he's on about. Because I dropped the mission, I missed out on whats going on and also some clues or something. Whatever. I'll just finish this now.

No way in hell will I finish that last mission. Why do my objectives change every 5 seconds? Why is it never clear what I have to do? Whats this timer for? What happens when it runs out? One ambush? Infinite? Apparently something will happen in 60 seconds. But nothing does. A few minutes later a load of Sky Raiders jump me. Where these related to the timer? Did I spawn them by clicking a glowie? .

What is it with this "X minutes until an ambush shows up" thing we have now? Am I supposed to do something before it happens? I have no idea.

Roy's objectives? What are they? Are they optional? (ie, something Roy would LIKE me to do for his cause but I can choose not to if it doesn't suit My goals?) or are they something that HE has to do himself? (in which case, why are they showing up for me?).

I never made it to the end. Got my face smashed in by Callisto on the roof, with a load of Sky Raiders helping him. I didn't stand a chance. I was able to apply debuffs and fail to destroy his FF Generator before I died.

I dont even know why my character is doing this or what is going on or what this chip is. I just have no idea, I cant make any sense of it and dont feel inclined to.

In 3 days I'll drop the last mission and never touch this arc gain.

Probably the worst arc I've ever played. And if someone tells me I'm supposed to be higher level or have SOs or something before I do this, why was I directed to do this as soon as I left Praetoria?

Not sure if someone mentioned this, but it needs to be pointed out because it was awesome.

NCsoft payed for everyone to play for the entire weekend.

Might not be a lot of money for a big company, but it meant a lot to me and everyone else I'm sure.

Must say I've only ever rushed through a patron arc on each of my 3 villain 50s to get access to the pools. Not done any of their other missions or any of the other missions in Grandville. Cant be bothered when I could just join an ITF and have fun steamrolling things (which is infact how they all got to 50).

I really like the idea of increased damage on Life Drain. Its the EXACT thing I thought of when Kendai and I were discussing Dark Blast. Another idea could be to add a Self +dam to it.

I would also agree that the set as a whole needs work, as I can only see myself taking Dark Blast, Gloom, Tenebrous Tentacles and Nightfall from it. Moonbeam, Dark Pit, Torrent, Life Drain and Blackstar are each barely worth a power selection and entirely skippable. Though in the case of Blackstar I would add that this is because I've found the nuke powers underwhelming in general and completely outclassed by Shield Charge and Lightning Rod, but that's another rant.

A lot of the blast sets are relics of an old design philosophy, now becoming increasingly irrelevant in the game City of Heroes has become, and Dark Blast is a prime example.

Screw the damn cottage rule and buff/modify/upgrade Dark Blast.

On my first play through to 50, debt taught me that my Ar/Dev blaster was not allowed to level as fast as other people.

Paragon will wake up a worse place tomorrow without you around mate.

We ghosted a bit and it took us five hours in the end.

Seconded. I just discovered this myself when I went to buy more slots.

I've got no slots left on defiant and only one left on union.

On my 1024x600 MSI Wind laptop, its too big to fit on the screen.
