PvP on Virtue Dead?

Granted I'm not a regular pvper, but last night I thought I'd pvp a bit for fun. Went to at least 3 zones and there was absolutely no one there! Is it like this all the time? It was about 8pm central time.

Spines/ D A lvl 50 Scrap, stone/wm lvl 50 tank, Kat/reg lvl 50 Scrap
Grav/Kin lvl 50 Cont, Fire/Enegry lvl 50 Blast
Warshade lvl 50, PB lvl 39, nightwidow lvl 50, crab lvl 42
plant/thorns lvl 50 dom, ice/fire lvl 40 dom, grav/nrg lvl 41 dom

Everybody went to Freedom, or so that is what I keep hearing whenever this comes up.

Despite what some trolls will say here, there was some decent Virtue PVP.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

Thanks to the devs' attempts to kill PvP, PvP'ers had to consolidate on one server to have any PvP at all. Since Freedom was the most busy already, everybody went to Freedom. So now Freedom is really busy, but all other servers are dead.

They really should have the free server transfers always on, instead of being a temporary thing.

The only zone with any amount of PvP left in Virtue is RV. There's occasionally quite a few people in RV in the evenings. Not as much as on Freedom, but probably a lot more than the other servers. SC usually has less than a handful, and Bloody Bay and Warburg are only to get temp powers, though I think that it's like that in a lot of zones.

Now if it's good PvP in Virtue RV well, that's debatable.

Bummer, most of my regular characters are on virtue.

I tried PvPing on virtue a while ago and it was weird. Some dude did a RP Glove Slap and challenged me to a duel. It took about 5-7 min for him to RP some more on how he was gonna arrest me and I was going to have to go to court and I will be pay for my crimes. I killed him before he could finish RPing and called me some bad names and insulted my mother. I thought it was the funniest thing, but shortly after I moved my toons to freedom.

lvl 50 - Elec/WP/Mu Mastery Stalker, lvl 50 - Dark/EA/Soul Mastery Stalker, lvl 50 - EM/Nin/Soul Mastery Stalker

My $0.02, I recently decided to give PvP a spin. Since I had a decent blaster at 50 already on Virtue (Sonic/EM), I kitted him out and spent some time in RV there. I had two decent teams out of about two weeks of looking. Lots of times during the day it was people standing around under the globe, fight clubbing and chatting, always a few Stalkers around looking for kills. A lot of melee toons, rarely saw another Blaster. Never saw anyone in Siren's or Warburg.

I'm stripping the Virtue toon and PLing a Psi/EM blaster on Freedom.

Weird I've had toons that PvP on virtue for many years now, and I've only ever come across 1 toon that RPvPs.

There are times when freedom RV is dead too. The OP seems to have simply stepped in when people weren't there it seems.

Civility exists on virtue where it could never on freedom it seems. What some will cal fiteclubbing is really just a smaller commuity of peeps who don't feel the need to try and kill something just because it's there. Duels may and often happen but usually only until there are enough people to actually make for good zone PvP. This is opposed to the super awesome spectacular PvP on freedom that usually ends up in front of a base ganking and spanking the same 2-3 outmatched opponents over and over til they leave and/or rage.

This, of course is an *opinion.* 8D

Although I don't PvP, I do badge-hunt which requires me to enter Virtue's PvP areas, and there always seems to be some form of activity in the zones... not full to the brim, but enough to be obvious.

I would hop on at different times and poll the zone. I'm sure you'll find that there are still opponents for you.

It's 106 miles to Grandville, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing faceless helmets

... Hit it ...

Man, Freedom's skill level made you feel really sad, huh. You talk trash about it every chance you get.

I haven't seen freedom's RV dead in a very long time. Even in non-peak times, there's always PvP going on in my experience.

You're right about the base camping. But that's what happens when there's literally 100 times more people PvP'ing....sides can be very uneven. It rarely stays that way for long though, because all it takes is a few people switching sides, and 10 minutes later the situation is totally different.

In my limited experience on Virtue when it was populated by people actually PvPing (as opposed to the chatting under Atlas), that's what we got. Villains got the upper hand and slowly drove the heroes back towards their base. Heroes regrouped, figured some things out, pushed the villains back towards their base. It was fun, but never lasted more than about 30 minutes, and I didn't see people switching sides to balance it out very much. Again, just anecdotal reporting here, nothing quantitative. But I'm going to Freedom.

Don't make this about me Max.

Surely we can agree that dead does not have to mean completely empty as stated by a /whoall check.

Freedom doesnt always 24/7 have 25-30 people in the zone PvPing. Is all I'm saying. The OP to me went to 3 outta 4 zones and saw no activity so I don't know whether RV was one of those zones, but Virtue RV has PvP goin on more often than it doesn't... even if it's not your definition of PvP. Mine is simply playing against other people.

Yes, we can. When people say other servers are dead they don't mean there's literally ZERO people playing there, obviously.

But it's relative. When one server has 100 people, and the other has 2, it's pretty safe to say the server with the 2 is dead, when compared to the 100.

Sorry just a stickler for wording.

Dead compared to freedom I can agree with... but it isn't fair to say Virtue RV is dead outright, nor any other server that has consistent PvP activity.

You would probably change your mind if you went into RV (or Siren's some times during the day) on Freedom. I can run around Virtue RV in plain sight and rarely get attacked despite the fact that I'm standing right next to a few members of the opposite faction (and if I attack them, they stand there and die and then complain that I'm PvPing them in a PvP zone).

Sure, there are people in the PvP zones on Virtue, but when a team of two Stalkers, neither of which are built particularly well, and are more or less the only active villains in the zone, racks up 150 rep in two hours in a zone where almost all their targets are Tankers and Scrappers...

The last time my SO'd stalker died in RV on Virtue was before i13 hit.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

I was in SC on Virtue last night at 8:00 PM on the stalker I left standing in there ever since I13. Was gonna steal some IOs off of him. Had one Warshade in the zone with me. So I went to find him for a fight. Hit him with one impale, he ran, I chased and he droned himself. Good PVP.

I think in about I14 my friend PL'd me a blaster on Virtue. I played there for a couple months. I think I ran into one total stalker that had anything more than hide. I would get into solo fights against 3 stalkers at the same time, and kill all 3 of them. It was awesome.

Then I moved the blaster to Freedom during the free transfers and haven't played him since. An SO'd lvl 38 blaster simply can't hang on freedom

I died twice on virtue last night, on a regin stalker.

As Jet_Boy said, try getting on at different times. There's usually some people on in RV in the later afternoon/evening, often til the early hours. It's not nearly as busy/busy consistently as Freedom is--let's be clear about this--but there's often enough for some fun pvp.

Well my $0.02 worth!!!

When we all had those lovely free Sever Transfers last February, I took a chance and trasnfered my Blaster to Virtue from Freedom to see. Just to take a peep on how the PVP is on Virtue. Well after a few days, I wasn't impress with the numbers in RV zone. One night it seemed there was a PVP VG group that I stumbeld across and they were ... well I cannot say bad nor good because I was like their only target of the zone. So I happily transfered my Blaster back to Freedom recently after.

Goon keeping it gangste ....[couuugh] AHUMMMMM, Gank-u-ster
