Super Boost: Excuse for bad manners?
OK who pissed in your Cheerios? Stop getting so angry when people disagree with you. I wasn't even talking about anything that you were talking about.

Btw this is angry language.

Did you ever stop to think that a troller could be anything other than a Kin?
|
, what I believe was a Kin Troller, |
Me and a troller were the only ones alive oddly enough |
All I said was if I wouldn't have been able to attack as fast and kept my endurance as well we would have team wiped.
|
I beg to differ on this one. I was playing a blaster the other night and was about to team wipe. If I hadn't had SB and been able to attack as fast as I could we would have had a team wipe. Me and a troller were the only ones alive oddly enough, but I cleaned up the mess real fast thanks to SB. If I didn't have it on I would have wiped really fast!
|

The troller still alive was NOT the Kin troller. The Kin troller got wiped pretty fast because some idiot ran into at least 3 or 4 mobs at once, and so yes the only contributing factor on my Blaster from the Kin was the SB. I don't know how you assumed that the one still alive was a Kin from what I said...
The PLANT troller and I were even separated and firing off as many powers as we could. The holds kept the troller alive long enough for me to finish my group of enemies and help them finish theirs off. Maybe you should get your facts right before you try to argue a point that's not being made next time. |
Again I say: If I had not had SB on I would have died because I couldn't have attacked as quickly or as efficiently thanks to the extra endurance I had. My comment was about WarronPeace comment that said SB didn't have much to do with survival. Obviously it does or my team would have team wiped in this instance. Why don't you go back and read my other comment... Maybe it will click in your head then!!
|
Good kins use speed boost so their team mates can keep up.
This belief is based upon my experience with the game, and is also my right to hold.
|
P.S. I never said that the endurance had anything to do with it, but it did fyi.
What the heck are you talking about? If he's not angry at all these people then I don't know what he has to do to show it. Don't comment on my conversation with someone else if you have nothing to add to it. That's troll behavior...
Also, he took something I said and made it seem like I was trying to contradict him when I wasn't even talking to him. He keeps getting angry because people don't agree with him. Did you even read the posts or did you just want to add to your post counts? |
Relax, it is friendly in here.
If I was leading a team and you said SB only by request and you have to say thank you, I'd kick you from the team. If you were leading, I'd call you some uncivilized words and probably end up getting kicked. If a third party was leading, I'd call you the same uncivilized words and add you my ignore list before I get kicked... and still get kicked anyway.
I'm of the school of thought that SB is highly overrated, and I have no problem teaming with kins that skip it entirely or rarely use it. However, one way to piss me off quickly is compliments for average play. I'd gladly give a standing ovation when somebody pulls off something awesome such as taking control of near wipe situation caused by somebody else's (usually me) mistake. But saying thank you for clicking my name and pressing SB every 90 seconds? Go yourself. If you want your epeen stroked you have to earn it.
And because we're on the topic, here are some other etiquette issues that piss me off.
*Requesting a teleport and having to say thank you. It's one thing if somebody comes out of the mission or waits for you while others go in, but when you choose using recall friend over twiddling your thumbs you're not getting a thank you from me!
*Saying "gratz" (or even worse "gz") every time somebody levels. Honestly, none of us give a crap and we all know this. It's exceptionally meaningless when people have a bind to say some congratulatory phrase every time they hear that dinging sound. Screw that, if I'm going to congratulate you for leveling it will be meaningful (i.e. /e clap, or announcing the newest 50 to the world.
*Not kicking khelds from the team every time a cyst spawns. I'm sorry, but if I had you in my room and came across some giant cyst that was spewing black puffy stuff you'd be kicked out so fast you'd think I slotted SB for speed. Why am I not allowed to treat khelds the same way!

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
yeah, manners are nice, but do you thank the tank every time he taunts? I'm happy to have the occasional 'TY for the buffs' or 'good tanking' than a constant stream of 'thank you' and 'can I have [buff of your choice] this please?'
|
This^.
What you're suggesting is that ***TEAM*** members politely ask other TEAM members to use their powers? Ask the Blaster to blast please? Ask the Defender to heal/buff? Ask the Controller to hold?
It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard... I hope this is a tr0ll post, otherwise it's just plain sad.
For me, the bottom line is this: teaming/running missions is simply MORE FUN when things are moving along at a good clip. Having to wait 20 seconds between mobs while the Stone Tanker catches up with the rest of the team is just BORING.
Fast teams are more fun, more exciting, and better xp. If SB ups the "fast", which ups the "fun" AND the xp, that's end of discussion, as far as I'm concerned.
Hello there forums,
So lately I have been playing a Fire/Kin and teaming around. In the latest team (still in it as we speak) we sparked a mini argument about me SBing people. My argument is that I refused to SB them unless they ask for it and say thank you afterwards. Both me and Shang stated how my using Speed Boost was a gift, not a necesity. Their argument is that if I don't intend on using the power, why have it. Also that the stone tank (the one who was demanding the SB) would be able to play much better, as well as everyone else, because of it. Of course I understand that Speed Boost is a big advantage for the team and stone tankers, what I don't understand is that just because it is a help hat it means manners must go out of the window. I didn't roll a /kin just to observe everyone's buffs to see when to give them one. So what's your overall view on the matter? |
Your argument is that you "refuse to SB them unless they ask for it and say thank you afterwards." Does a Tanker NOT use Taunt until his entire team is wiping and they'd have to ask him to Taunt and say thank you once he does his job? Does an EMP Defender not heal others unless he is asked to heal them and expects a thank you afterward?
People will say thank you if they feel like it. Sure, manners are nice, but it's not like they have bad manners if they don't say thank you =|. It's a lot of work to keep asking for and saying thank you whenever you want an SB, it's just that simple.
Again, it seems like you're nitpicking and you should just get over it and start SB-ing teammates since this is expected of you.
Also, he took something I said and made it seem like I was trying to contradict him when I wasn't even talking to him. He keeps getting angry because people don't agree with him. Did you even read the posts or did you just want to add to your post counts?
