Probably because too many are trying to log in at once plus possibly an issue with the patch making the server more susceptible to instability.
Kind of sucks, was creating a character too only to find out closing the game didn't really save the character.
Yup, the one toon I did log in is stuck in that "character is still logging out" limbo, while every other toon is eventually timing out at "No mapserver connection. Try again."

This is my question. Is it the Virtue Server, Praetoria, or Ultra Mode that is to blame?

Yes very unplayable as of 5 pm cst, guess is time go see what is on tv for a bit.

Major major major lag spikes.
"Lost Connection to Mapserver" at least once per minute for the last hour or more. Forcibly quit to login screen two times.

Last night around 9ish EST Atlas Park apparently dc'd everyone in it.
Yeah just dropped connection in the D, it's like 1 AM Eastern. Keep trying to get in, the furthest I get is a message that says I lost connection to the DBserver.
Ditto. I can log in characters NOT in the D, but not the ones in the D itself.

I was able to a bit later, but the zone was totally unstable. I wasn't able to log in any other characters either, as the server seemed to take too long to respond.
I can't even get the game to go past the login screen now.

Yeah i keep getting the DB disconnect message now on virtue. i was able to get on other servers but 5 times now i got the DB message on virtue.
Same here, trying to log into Virtue, but keep getting the "DBserver disconnected" message. What's going on?
And down went Virtue.
It's 3PM EST and they're still down - but at 1PM it was fine. Any new information?
