I'm pretty sure that we're getting Broad Sword next. It's the most "Brutish" out of what's left.
Not anytime soon I'm afraid, with Kinetic Melee coming out w/ GR. Broadsword is still 2-3 issues away I believe, you never know though.
I would much rather have BS than KM.

Mmm. Parry + Granite Armor. Could there be a more indestructable combination?

Why we don't have it yet? Because it has not been proliferated yet. Devs get to deciede what gets done so we have to wait.

Broad sword is just one of those power sets that would need major reworking to not be a bit OPed. Its like SS for scrapper, Rage+high base dmg...

Yeah, I have this one Sword and Board character concept that needs the ability to take more hits and rage. Well maybe issue 18 or 19? But I am guessing it is probably issue 20 or 21 
I'd take Katana for Brutes over Broadsword anyday. When using the huge swords like the Riki sword for example, it is a very "brutish" set. Brutes do better with building fury from sets that have quick cast times like Katana. Broadsword is a Battle Ax/Mace clone and just like those two sets, it wouldn't build fury well.
If BS or Katana was proliferated, Energy Armor would need a buff even more badly than it does now, since BS would be useless with EA, because the defense bonus of parry wouldn't combine with your existing defenses.

KM just doesn't have the Brute "Feel" for me. Yeah their weapons look nifty, but the style is more elegant, and suited flavor wise for scrappers and stalkers.
Now Broad Sword, that is serious hacking action, perfect for a brute.
OK we have Broad Swords for stalkers but none for Brutes? Can someone explain to me why we don't have Broad Swords for brutes?
