[I17] Drastically reduced enhancements font
The old enhancement screen (and login screen) was a low resolution fixed layout that was simply expanded to fit your screen. After a few years of many people using Wide-screen and higher resolutions, they finally decided to make those screens use the resolution you are actually using instead of a squished/stretched enhancement screen.
Because of this, things will certainly look smaller for people using higher resolutions.
Even at 1024x768 the numbers on icon enhancements (slotted or in the tray on the management screen) are too small to read.
If they're going to keep them that small, then they definitely need to add the level number to the enhancement's tooltips for the vast majority of us who can't remember every enhancement type's effect percentages at every level.
Either way, I do agree that it's harder to read them than it was before.
A nice QoL feature for that screen would have been to use an enlarged mouseover similar to how the badges work on the /info_self window. That would be cool.
Or, here's an idea, use a bigger font. Actually both would be good.
I can deal with it but my wife can't read hers at all and she's very upset. Everyone I know has asked me about it tonight. It really needs to be changed as soon as possible.
I too am having problems seeing the numbers. Even with bifocals it is way to small.
This was reported repeatedly during beta. Pretty disappointed it's still this way.
Blue
American Steele: 50 BS/Inv
Nightfall: 50 DDD
Sable Slayer: 50 DM/Rgn
Fortune's Shadow: 50 Dark/Psi
WinterStrike: 47 Ice/Dev
Quantum Well: 43 Inv/EM
Twilit Destiny: 43 MA/DA
Red
Shadowslip: 50 DDC
Final Rest: 50 MA/Rgn
Abyssal Frost: 50 Ice/Dark
Golden Ember: 50 SM/FA
I'm sad its still so small too. I think the devs have great eyesight, or its a harder than expected thing to fix.
Something else I noticed about it was my six slotted powers had more room on the end. Didn't think much about it till I read War Witches address.
"So there is a lot in store for you with new Power Sets, new zones (in the awesomeness that is Praetoria), more missions, and the Going Rogue system (with has lots of missions, too). Not only that, but familiar characters that you met in Paragon City or the Rogue Isles make a re-appearance in this alternate universe, and a teensy tinsy introduction to the Incarnate System should keep you level 50s busy for some time!"
Last sentance was interesting, or maybe I'm weird and I see stuff that isn't there. Was it done in preparation of GR?
Ya it looks like you could 8-9 slot things now with the way the enhancement screen is being resolved.
Fix plz

Go to Windowed mode and shrink your window. You'll see the extra space disappear when you shrink the screen enough.
One of the devs responded to one of the (many) threads asking the same thing in Beta. I think it was Castle. Either way, the answer was "There are currently no plans to increase the maximum number of slots per power beyond six."
@Roderick
Well crap. My PB was hoping for more slots.
Despite the illegibility, this is currently WAI.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
My wife got a headache last night from taking off her glasses and putting her nose on her screen to read the levels. She has declared that she won't be playing again until it is "fixed".
I'll be a very sad husband if they aren't going to increase the size of those fonts and quickly. A mouse-over solution is not a solution as far as I'm concerned because you can't quickly scan your enhancements for old inventions that need replacing.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Put my name on the list of people finding it impossible to read the numbers on the enhancements. I have enough trouble with "old eyes" reading work text (even with bifocals) - I am disappointed that I am now going to have trouble with my recreational pursuits as well ...
Please, devs - bigger text on those enhancements!

I have to agree, this seems to be a universal complaint... I have yet to see ANYONE who prefers it this way.
I have pretty good vision for this kind of thing despite approaching the half-century mark; it's all but illegible to me despite this. I bugged it in the closed beta, I bugged it in open beta and it's still nearly unusable by a large portion of the players and hard to read by everyone.
Heck, I was hearing complaints from teenagers about the enhancements being impossible to read. Whoever had this brilliant idea for the interface font really needs to look at it on something other than an 800x600 screen. Heck, I actually dialed down the resolution to 800x600 as an experiment... it's STILL pretty small even at that. The font needs to be at least double the size it currently is.

Add me to the list.. Even with a 24" monitor, I need to lean in close to read the enhancement levels. It's a shame they didn't take the time to listen to all the complaints about this during beta testing.

I have to say I'm very disappointed in the state of the issue 17 release; I know we typically have new issues go live full of bugs that are caught in beta but never addressed but this one seems to take the prize. My overwhelming impression of the release is that it's still in fairly early Beta... it's no way ready for release.

I actually prefer it this way. Please don't hurt me!!
I will agree that it should be a selectable option, though.

i have a feeling that it has something to do with the incarnate stuff comming out. maybe to the effect of global enhancements. if this is the case they needed to add room to the power enhancement lines to fit them.

Don't forget to /bug it in game folks. I've seen many instances of issues that were well known to players that completely escaped dev attention for months because they frequently get too busy to monitor the forums. But a substantial number of bug reports will get noticed!
Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.
the new enhancement font is terrible to read, do hope it gets made back to a proper readable size.

After the patch, I went to update my enhancements and noticed their font (the numeric value and any +'s) were significantly reduced to a barely-readable font size.
I looked through all the options and there's no control to enlarge it.
What gives? Was this intended? If so, why?
