Yes, do the introduction to Ouroborus arc after you are Entrusted with the Secret (min level 25).

Or if you just want to bleed from both eyes, you can go into Recluse's Victory and defeat the lone Contaminated that spawns once an hour in the tram.

The fact that someone might do that scares me

I did it by logging on in RV 3-4 times a day. It took a few weeks.

I got my badge exclusively from hunting in RV in Issue 7. It took about two weeks of spending ALL my free time sitting in the train station, but I was the first person on Victory to get it solely from RV hunting.

... Afterwards, I took a little break from the game, because daaaayumn that burnt me out...

Before Ouro, it was the only way to get that badge if you missed it in the tutorial (or had a character that was around before Badges).

Ah Yes, good times. If I recall correctly the contaminated will start having a chance to respawn after 30 minutes and will be a forced respawn after 2 hours (at least that's what I seem to recall from those days), but yes Ouroboros is much easier.

Yeah working on teams helping people get Pillboxes, Toxic Tarantulas and Mu Guardians while keeping an eye out for that lone Contaminated spawn worked out well enough all things considered. At that point in the game (around Issue 7) RV was about the only reliable place heroes could find TTs and Mu's to badge for.

Also realize that before the RV Contaminated spawn there was absolutely NO way for characters created at the launch of the game to get Isolator (since badges didn't exist until Issue 2). So before the Devs came to their senses and gave us the Ouroboros way to get it the "you have to suffer in RV to get your Isolator" practical joke was Positron's way to stick it to us. Good times, good times.

And at least the option existed. Before Ouroborus, any Villain who missed the Jailbird badge was S.O.L.
Aren't there rare and occasional stray contaminated that spawn in Galaxy City sometimes.... or what is it that appears there and looks the same?

The ones that spawn in Galaxy City and Atlas Park are called "Infected". Looks almost the same, but not the same.

Gotcha. Thanks.

Haven't prowled the streets of Galaxy in some time... but I remembered seeing something.

When I was hunting them they spawned on a flat timer. I don't remember what it was, but I had my watch on a timer and the Contaminated would spawn exactly on schedule every time.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.

Yes, at level 25 you can get it by doing the Mender Tess intro to Ouroboris mission.
Neat thing about doing it at level 25 is you can bring along temp powers, and you have a level 25 inspiration tray...lots of room for reds

And, I can't remember at this early time of the morning, but I think you have access to your first five powers....I think....probably wrong.

Anyways, as long as you do Mender Tess's mission you are golden

I have gotten to the point where I do half of the Isolator Badge in Outbreak, and the final half at level 25.

Good luck.

Not the first 5 powers, but anything you had up to lvl 6, plus access to your vet and temp powers. That makes wiping the map for the badge that much easier.

If you get the badge and you are having trouble finding the 7 hostages to rescue, just think about the layout of the actual Outbreak Zone. Each contact you had on training day are the hostage and they are all in the same spots they were in. The last one is in a building marked with the red Waypoint.

But the suck thing about it is being exemped to level one. That's not something you have to deal with often.

Yeah.....but what's cool is if among your temp powers is a Vanguard Heavy or some Shivans....

Nowadays my new hero alts just tear through the tutorial. They hit the contacts, get the mission and ding level 2 and then access their vet badges and obtain Sands of Mu, Nemesis Staff, and the Blackwand as well as their buff pet and just go to town.

There were several villains with the badge from this way before it was removed from them.

I got my Isolator this way on Snow, is where i first ran into Golden Girl as she to was working on it, but know now and all my other chars now get it in the tutorial or Oro, so no more sitting awaiting on the lone RV spawn to appear, it was a bit of chore logging in each time to see if the little chap was there.

I originally posted an alternative solution, but realized it's probably an exploit.

Just get the badge through the intro to Ouroboros arc.

Are you kidding me? What possible reason would the devs have to take the Isolator badge away from villains that did this? That's just nitpicking. Where's the harm? I never did it but I wouldn't consider that an exploit. If I went through all of that trouble and the devs took it away I would be P*SSED.
