A thank you to City of Heroes
Gratz! Wait..... Virtue? "Bio-Kat"?
You didn't happen to meet in Pocket D, did you?
Heheh, no, we didn't meet in Pocket D. Hmm, just realised how people might take that if we did.
Seems like you're having a hard time on living up to your name.
Congratulations on finding that special someone.

So we would like to thank the game of City of Heroes, for bringing us together, for we never would have met over the 15,000km distance that was between us.

I would like to thank the game of City of Heroes, not only for the years of fun playing the game, but for all the friends I've made over the past 5-6 years.
But the main reason for writing this, is that on the 10th of April, I was married to my one true love, who I never would have met if it wasn't for this game. |

A huge, HUGE congratulations from all of us. We know how special our players are...so it's no surprise that they should find each other special and in many cases end up with one another.
I know that at our recent Boston Meet and Greet I had a good handful of couples come up to me and say they met in CoH, but I haven't really dug deeper into this for a while.
I'd like to encourage any of you who met your current significant other in the game (whether they are your boyfriend/girlfriend, fiancee or now husband/wife) to post in this thread and share your story. We would really like to hear about it.

Mega Gratz, Pointless! I hope the two of you have a long, happy (and gaming-filled) life together!
My wife and I met through our mutual interest in CoH over 4 years ago and we got married on January 15th, 2010. Several of our awesome supergroup buddies even made the trip across the country to attend the wedding!
Thank you, City of Heroes, for helping me find my soulmate and best friend, my wife.
I love you, babe!

That's cool. Congrats to you both.
I met my last girlfriend in City of Heroes. We dated for a little less than 4 years, but then she quit CoH and started playing World of Warcraft. Immediately thereafter, we split up.
Then a few months later, she started playing CoH again, and for a little while it looked like we might get back together... but then she met some other guy in WoW and quit CoH (and whatever relationship we had) for good.

Let me add my congratulations to the throng. Mazeltov!
Some good friends of mine met on CoH and ended up getting married. I don't think they frequent the forums at all.
GRATZ guys, that's very cool!
(Now if I can only get my rl gf to play so I can meet her online....)
I really like City of Heroes!
What other game can I throw a roll of insulation at dudes running around in tights?
...Which creates the atmosphere of love!
I would like to thank the game of City of Heroes, not only for the years of fun playing the game, but for all the friends I've made over the past 5-6 years.
But the main reason for writing this, is that on the 10th of April, I was married to my one true love, who I never would have met if it wasn't for this game.
That's right, we met playing City of Heroes a couple of years back, played together more and more often, started chatting outside of game more and more often, and as you would expect, fell in love despite the great distance we had.
So we would like to thank the game of City of Heroes, for bringing us together, for we never would have met over the 15,000km distance that was between us.
We're keeping this post short, as there would be lots to tell about us and how this game brought us together, but we both think you all get the point.
(Side note, we met playing on Virtue, you may know us as Bench, Yu-Fei, Electroscopic, Bio-Kat, Holocaust Inferno, Silence Unheard etc.)
Now go, eat steak, and be strong like Bench.
