Good Build for Sirens Call?
I will go slow.
I killed you 5 times myself.
I did it on a disruption toon.
I did it while solo.
You are really bad as a trapper, take some hints from the decent mms you used to team with like Web Death. You couldn't even nade me in a pool. Pretty fail.
You and your theories are terrible.
Lies to back up your bad game views is not an effective argument.
I don't believe you got 9 solo kills at all.
Gratz on the pvpo, obviously there is no justice.
Edit: the most pro move by rahji of the day was him telling me that he was going to get his grav dom and showing me how to use wormhole right. After I used it to kill him, again.
Edit again!: lrn2multipost sun. no need to get all zentryshadow4 up in this *****!
Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.
Don't say no... explain why it's not silly.
"Situational power? Sure. Although in a sense... all powers are situational. It's just that some situations occur more than others." Understand the situation needed in order for the power to be most effective... and make that situation happen.
Wow. You have officially lost all respect from me dude. Bad. Just Bad to do what you just did.
|
Facts are facts. And oh noes I lost the respect of the most wrong pvper in the game. Whatever shall I do.
Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.
I made you rage inwardly when I came to the zone, you stalked me and for some reason kept wormholing me into the air when I have hover and tp. (why exactly?) You attempted to put snowstorm on me several times and I evaded with stealth, TP, and/or temp placate... except for the one time the heavy hold got me. You and 5 other were around, but I'll give your /Cold troller the credit if you want.
I fought aginst you 1 on 1 for a bit without any traps what soever and while dodging some bad scrapper trying to KS you. I got you to a sliver of HP using just my 2 primary attacks but you got the kill on me. By that time I was on a team.. I died two more times to more than several heroes until my 2 month old woke up and I went to watch LOST.
I would absolutley love for you to tell me how you killed me 5 times on your grav/troller.
"Situational power? Sure. Although in a sense... all powers are situational. It's just that some situations occur more than others." Understand the situation needed in order for the power to be most effective... and make that situation happen.
Kid, check this out. I killed you twice by the hero base. Once by bravo. Twice by the villain base. That's 5 times I got a kill on you. That means I killed you 5 times. I am going to assume that you are just struggling with the English language at this time though so I will let it slide.
Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.
Con that's a lie.
*snip* I would absolutley love for you to tell me how you killed me 5 times on your grav/troller. |
[Afterthought] It'd be nice to know why you were wormhoing me into the air also... I'm having a hard time figuriing that one out... being that you are a so called Grav/ master PvPer, lol
Take your time though... I'm goin to bed. I'm sure you'll have another good made up tale for me to read when I awake.

Teleport gives you 450+ft of distance with no trail while having nothing to stop you from doing so. (Except for that -TP power... err that's right there isn't one. o.O) Canceling Fly on a good teleporter means absolutely nothing btw. DoT is also an excuse for the inexperienced teleporter.
You were saying something about 100% reliabilty Mac.? |
People choose SS and SJ because they offer the combination of the best combat horizontal and vertical movement. Sure, TP is great if you are trying to get away (and aren't tagged with a toggle debuff or being spiked, which is exactly when you'd want to get away), but it's a piss-poor travel power for staying with a fight. TP has a grand total of one use in organized PvP: TPing yourself out of a pool or dumpster in an arena match if the other team is lucky enough to catch you in one, which doesn't happen often because you've got enough horizontal/vertical movement to get yourself away from a bad spot before you actually get grounded.
I like how you are trying to claim that you did not, indeed, die as many times as everyone is saying, yet Con told you exactly where he killed you, and how many times. Sorry, but I'll believe that over "He's lying, I swear!" Somehow, I'd find it much less likely that the guy who is actually capable of competitive PvP is making things up, then the guy who is claiming that TP and Fly are just as viable as SS and SJ without offering any proof of that.
Like I said, find 7 PvPers other than yourself who have TP and Fly and are willing to run an 8v8. This really is one of those "put up or shut up" situations. And don't say "oh, come to RV and see how we run" because using zone PvP (especially after I13) to justify skill, or anything else PvP-related, is lolzworthy.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
9 Kills and 4 deaths? OVER 3 HOURS???
Even if you made up those numbers and Con farmed your brains out... that is just barely above 2 kills per death. And that is taking into account you aren't on a blaster or stalker. Those numbers are still bad.
You do have a great new tag line for all the new PvP'ers
-----------------------------------------------------
Tired of all the SS/SJ'ing/Hibernating Stalkers scoring 10 Kills to *Maybe* 1 Death every 5 minutes or so.
Tired of that FoTM Psi/EM almost 4 shotting people from 120+ yards every 25-30 seconds?
ACT NOW! You too could roll a TP/Flying traps defender/corrupter and spend THREE HOURS in the zone to land yourself NINE of the most "SKILLED" kills you have ever seen. We are talking classics like "TP'ing afk people into a field of trip mines" or the always favorite "Whoops, another Regen scrapper just ran into all my traps." Maybe even some new favorites you aren't familiar with like "Watch me TP Placate this guy then rad snipe him for TOO MUCH DAM" or "Trapping good players by out thinking them" Sure you might barely manage a 2-1 Kill/Death Ratio, but don't let that stop you from purchasing this deal!
We know what you are thinking, why put so much emphasis onto a character with such a sub par performance? We don't know!!!!! But you too can have your own Flying/TPing trapper and personal training sessions with "Trap Master" Dahjee for just 3 easy payments of $19.99. Act now and while supplies last we'll throw in our new special "GALACTOR PRESENTS Flying RAD/RAD's and you" as well as "Flying 1000 HP emps, Buffers of the Sky"
Offer not Valid in Wisconsin.
lol'd so hard

Look I will explain this so you can get it. When you kill something the game will say You have defeated Viennadix. I had this happen a total of 5 times yesterday. Therefore I killed you 5 times. This is a complex thought I know, but I believe in your ability to understand it.
AS for tping you into the air there is a couple reasons. One when you wormhole someone you get a kb from the animation. If you do it off the ground you actually get a bit longer that someone is tied up in said animation. Second reason, you have fly, your summons do not. If I tp them you will be farther away from and therefore have less buffs/debuffs around you. I am sure you being a grav god that you knew this already and were just testing my knowledge.
Out of curiosity was that epic 5 solo kills include that one scrapper that just kept walking into your traps and trying to talk to you in broken English? He did that at least twice that I know of. So I guess if we could find enough people like that you would be a walking pvpo farm.
Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.
yeeeaaaah, i even tried to help you out vennanix, but you're way way bad.
i was wormholing people into mines only to find your dumb *** was out of range so they didn't go off. i was like "wtf is this retard kid doing, if you're gonna play a traps right, keep your mf traps working".
i pretty much spend 90% of my time doing kill-assists when i'm on my grav/fire... funny how you couldn't even be "assisted".
Well I watched Vennetrix quite a bit of the time last night and his claims are not so far fetched. He was a great add to the team he was running and I watched him near solo a tank and scrapper using a pool and web nades trap setup. It was pretty sweet. He got other kills of note but these two I watched near the hero base were impressive. The tank is one of the more well built ones we see in the zone and he was defeated in less than 10 seconds with very little outside help. GG
I got sent to the hospital once on my main Corrupter over the nearly two hours I observed and played near him while he made, lets say a few more trips than I. From my vantage point I would have to say the SS / SJ combo was the superior escape travel setup in most of the situations I witnessed. He was suppressed a bit and spiked is what it looked like to me. As to be expected. But I am playing a Pain secondary and am a little more resilient to be fair.
However he did have some situations where he was able to hover out of range for many of the SS only users and got some lols out of me for his taunts and such. He did make good use of his Hover / TP setup quite a few times. He was able to make quite a few good escapes using invisibility or phase as he noted in his posts. I was able to make more escapes is all. Although they may have been gunning for him after some of his comments on here. Just to try and prove him wrong. I dont think they did.
I also observed how he attempted to pursue a few runners who either resisted the TP or he got a bad roll on it. I was not impressed much by the results of his pursuits. He did get ahead of the runner a few times but most escaped over the sustained pursuit. Pursuit with TP is a mixed bag. I will stick with my SS / SJ setup I think.
All in all, a very viable build but I still stand behind my earlier comments. I would not suggest this to a starting PVP player. I would suggest learning the ropes on a ranged toon but probably not that secondary to start with. That is not to say that I would never play a traps for PVP. I would think it will take much more practice, trial and error to refine the skill. A new player should start with something easier is my opinion.
Good work Vennetrix. Some of the later ire you are getting is because you really did well on that build last night.

LOL. Don't get me started on the little checkboxes box you call PvP. Damn robots are everywhere these days. It's weird to me that in order to justify "skilled" at PvP... you have changes the pvp rules back to an easier system, take away the ability to use most inherent and temp powers in the game, fight in a mission map, get to choose what size insp to bring 20 of, choose from only about 6-7 set combos, and always have the fight at even odds. Keep telling youself that guys.

Look I wasn't bragging about kills, I was saying that I didn't get farmed and it is very much the case. Somehow... but not surprising in the least, that point was made but th topic then turned away from me getting farmed and onto how many kills I got. Happens a lot to me here on the boards when I make a good point. I don't think Con shared how many times he died in the three hours I was there while on his troller. I got 2 kills on him, and saw him die at least five or six more times trying to chase me.
But Really, that was pretty funny stuff there.

Credibility, meet window. Yours just went flying out it. I assume you're one of the people who thinks I13 is a major improvement over I12 PvP, which works against you even more. Your posts in this thread are like a greatest hits collection of fail, keep up the good work. Please, try to explain to me how travel suppression, heal decay, and uneven numbers make PvP balanced.

Skill I think is relative to where you are and what you have to work with. Just because arena is where you go to compete, doesn't mean it's the only place to find PvP skill Mac.
I don't care about issues and changes made to what dude. I never have, cause I'm skilled.

So, Dahjee do you just stick to zones or do you do any 1v1s, arena at all? I'd be more than happy to give your toon a try if you are game. If not, I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for you in zones to experience your trapping and see how it does.
What toons do you have on Freedom? Corr, fender? Should I send something to Virtue? I just want to see what you can accomplish on a traps toon.

Ok, this guy's stupidity is reaching new levels. I don't think anybody we've ever seen here has been quite this ignorant and delusional. Zen shadow and sentry got nothing on this guy. At least they talked about fight clubbing, something that's actually part of the game. This guy talks about stuff straight out of his imagination.
I can't handle this thread anymore.

I usually agree to most arena invites sent to me in a friendly fashion, but hardly ever search for matches or make KBs/join events/etc...

I gave in a put my Traps Corr there last night and as expected had a fun time for a bit. He'll probably be there for a minute. At one point I had 4 or 5 toons there, but disliked getting all my good drops on freedom while my pesonal storage for all my several other toons was on virtue. To avoid the headache to come, I decided to stay on Virtue and just vacation toons on freedom.

It can be used as a disprution tool though... sometims with web grenade! TP Foe isn't a mez so you can use both!
