Any number is as good as any other as long as it's more than 3 Plus, it's entirely possible that 7 is as many contacts as you can have going at once at any point in the game. It may also be a compromise to stop you having masses of outlevelled missions clogging up your tray later on

What I'd like to know is does the increase in active mission slots come with an increase in active mission arcs?

Oh, and how will the new exploration badges effect base transporter beacon acquisition? Will the beacon requirements stay as they are now (a subset of the new badge load in the zones) or will they be bumped to require all including the new ones?

That info isn't very clear.
Emails can be sent to local as well as global names now.

Emails with attachments can only be sent to a Global name.

Valid attachments are Enhancements, Salvage, Recipes and Inspirations if they are tradeable (buyable on AH). One per email. Inf can be sent alongside item.

There will be 20 mail cap to inbox. Mails sent to full mailbox will bounce (bounced mails can exceed cap). If you are at the cap you cannot send mails.

Items with attachments cannot be deleted until attachment is claimed. They can be returned to sender.

So you can send stuff from your heroes to your villans?

Or is it limited only to the same side the sender is from?

The entire AH front-end was re-written.

So in other words, players can't mail recipes, enhancers, and such between their own characters.

Late to the party here, but The Issue looks pretty damn good considering it's being done alongside an expansion, plus the fact we weren't supposed to get any issue released before Going Rogue.
I want to say thanks to the devs for the extra effort that is being put in.

Do you not have a global name? Thats weird...you should have one.

Nothing can cross from hero to villain or vice-versa. It would get dirty.

This, really.
If nothing else, for the love of pete get RID of the damn chime sound after EVERY attack! When putting shields on is one thing, but one of the reasons I actually deleted my PB was because the sound pitch was giving me a damn migraine! Not good! ):

So...the inf and such gets stored under your global?
I'm a tad confused now, sorry =S

What's there to be confused about? you have a global name, don't you? Seems pretty obvious to me.

My guess is you can simply mail yourself stuff and global mail is viewable by all on your account which is capped at 20? Since you are sending this to global names, you can check global e-mails on any character...

Mega uber cross my fingers but i know it wont be possible but i'ld never bust you again if it does request here!

Possible to add a US/EU button to e-mails so we can e-mail over influence and things to that nature to eachother? Would make player created US/EU contests much much easier!

You did attempt this with the MA, so pretty please? I promise to never complain again if you do this!

I assume this follows the same mentality, in that we can complete seven instances at once. Very convenient.
In other MMOs, I tend to be a mission packrat. I went around and collected every mission available in that area (and some from other areas) because the game would let me. And then I would end up being kind of scatter-brained on what mission to do next.

I liked the 3-only mission system CoH has had because it kept me more focused than other MMOs. I was forced to finish my missions before I could do anything else. So I'm glad it was still 3 back when I first started playing the game.

Huh...
If attachments are tied to global name... Am I correct in thinking this means we can trade cross servers, Pohsyb?

Also... In case I didn't post yesterday about all this (I did on my guild forums)...

I love this Dev Team and this game!!

Animated tails was a wonderful surprise (I know it may have been coming some day, but not with I17, woohoo!!). Tons of other great changes and additions coming! I am really eager to see what the new emotes are!

/end gush (for now)

One global name, 30 characters. Fifteen redside, fifteen blueside.

Could you walk us through the steps to mail from one character on my account to another character on my account?

For instance, say that I send an item from one of my characters to another character that could use the IO.

Does the attachment immediately show up in the sending character's mailbox, because I'm sending it to my global name?

If I log onto yet another character instead of immediately logging into the recieving character, does that mean that this third charcter will get the item instead of the character I intended to send it to?

Does global in-game e-mail have a different e-mail box than e-mail directed to a specific character?

My logical guess would be that instead of appearing in the send box, it'ld now almost instantly appear in your inbox and available to all characters no matter how often you log until you "open the goods inside" as such.

The email system today doesn't work based on global names.

Or are you suggesting that it's not actually the "email" system we have in game now? Something like a moneygram /tell?

Question, then.

Currently our In-Game Email filtering options only allow us to limit emails to people on our per-character server Friends list and Supergroup members. With this change, will the filter be updated to limit based on Global Friends instead of each character's server Friends list, or at least give us the option to allow emails from anyone on our Global Friends list as well?
