Excited about i17 and GR, BUT Epic Archetypes now available at level 20???
They need to stop making this game easier and definitely stop pandering to the lazy players. Epic archetypes meant something to someone who got their first toon to 50. Now, just like so many other rewards in the game, it doesn't mean much at all.

New to the forums but been on CoX since '06.I'm aware of some of the things they have planned for 50's and hope something as substantial as I felt getting an epic archetype was. I certainly hope it's beyond a universal enhancement system. These abstract/arbitrary rewards (influence, enhancements, merits) oftentimes leave me feeling underwhelmed. I've always felt there needed to be something more tangible; something to hold, use, wear, summon.

If anything, the game encourages making as many alts as possible, not levelling a single toon all the way through. A move like that only shows the devs understand that.
Just curious, how exactly does the game encourage making as many alts as possible?

If I didn't have alts, I'd feel like I was missing out on much of the game. Of course, I don't really have any alts -- just lots and lots of mains.

OK, I did not read the whole thread, but I did read quite a bit and I still don't know - are Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning part of I17, or part of Going Rogue? I don't care about the pre-order early access, I want to know if we (ultimately) get the powersets as a free issue upgrade, or if we have to pay for them.
Anyone know the answer?

If you do not purchase Going Rogue, then you do not get Dual Pistols or Demon Summoning. At all.
(At least, not in the foreseeable future... maybe 2-3 years down the road, they'll give Going Rogue to every subscriber the same way they did when they made both CoH and CoV accessible in 2008 if you had an existing account for one or the other.)

SO, will we have to PAY for the pre-order right away, or it will just be logged on our account to be paid for in July? I just wonder cause my entertainment fund was limited before a $450 repair bill on my car.

Pardon me if I happen to prefer facts over fiction. Wishing for something does not make it true, and I see no point in getting peoples hopes up for something that has not even been confirmed.

There were two level bumps during Pistols Closed. One to 38, and then another to 50.
So, fail right there.They've pretty much done with Pistols testins, and it seems sound enough.
To be honest, it'd be kinda of stupid to have a DXP on test. So, I'd bet about 98% on it being on live.
