/em flypose1
/em flypose2
/em flypose3
/em flypose4

These must be entered while moving. This means that you have to go on autorun and type the command, or create a bind or macro that activates the flypose and press it while moving. Stopping or turning off fly will reset you to the default flight animation.

I'm not sure, but I think that these commands do not work with hover. Only way to be sure is to check in-game.

EDIT: Damn you, Killbot! Type slower!

Also, is it only 3 flyposes? I thought it was 4?

Finally, there is a way to bind these to your movement keys so that they automatically activate. I'm not sure what the binds are though. I'm sure someone can help though.

You are correct. There are 4.

Is that your own personal wiki?

God, I hope this gets into Pool Customization somehow.

Once one has changed their flight pose with one of the flypose# emotes, is there a way to reset to the generic flight pose without stopping your flight?

/em flypose0? Lol, I don't think there is a way to do that.

I tested this a few days ago, including /e flypose0, /e none and /e flypose: none of those work.

I'm beginning to think that there is no way of changing back to the "generic" fly pose without at least a tiny "blip" in your motion where you stop/start your flight motion.

It would be great if there was a way -- like /e flypose0 (effectively treating the generic pose as just another pose emote that is always chosen when forward flight is started).

It would be really neat if NCSoft made it so you could set which pose (0-4) was the one set as the default.

I might actually use a flight pose then. I haven't used them since the were on test and they cycled randomly. I frequently forget they even exist now.

I wish the Dev's would go into this more and let you chose your own flight pose so that you don't have to go through the trouble of /em flypose.

They likely won't get broad use until Power Customization comes to the pools, at which point you'll likely be able to set the default pose (and likely override it with the emotes).

You could rebind 'w' (or whatever you use to move forward) to also set the default flypose.

I use this:

/bind <key> "em flypose1$$em flypose2$$em flypose3$$em flypose4"

This will cycle through the flyposes with repeated presses of the bound key.

Also, you can reset to the "basic" flypose by taking a screenshot with /screenshot. I found this out while taking screenshots of characters flying in the various flyposes.

I have a macro for each of the 4 emote flight poses.

That does save on the number of keys it would take. Personally, I prefer having a separate key/macro for each pose so the character goes straight to the pose I want.

Interesting. Is this the manually-typed slash command? Because I've taken screenshots with the print screen key (keybind) and it doesn't change the pose. And since I use a non-standard setup (all movement on the numpad, and the mouse to control targeting & power activation), taking my hands off that position to type is cumbersome to me.

Please. So let it be written. So let it be done!

I found an interesting problem. If Lightning Field is active on my El/ElA brute /em flyposeX doesn't do anything. Turn it off and the emote works.

A lot of toggles interfere with certain emotes. Shield Defense, as a whole, has huge problems with emotes, though they have fixed a few.

For a while there you couldn't have your weapons out while using a flypose, either (you still have to "pull" it after the flypose). It would just negate the flypose. But they eventually fixed it and I was glad, because I so like flying like this with The Mighty Thunor.

Dec out.

This should be stickied. I wasn't sure what to type to find this or such similar post. I got lucky with "flight poses" and a few pages down here it was.

If we did this with every thread that should be stickied, you'd have about four pages to go through (at a minimum, by my settings, which is at least double the standard for the forum) before finding new threads.

If I remember right, the last thing we heard on customized travel powers was that travel mode animations were outside the scope of Power Customization
