This is a great idea, I'm going to try and PL up a toon on Victory and then transfer over and play around when I can.

If anyone needs quick levels on a toon for Midlevel Crisis (to get to a level where they feel they can produce more quickly, or whatever), feel free to hit me up in-game (@EricNelson) and we can work on a time for you to transfer the toon to Victory for some leveling (since server transfers are free at the moment).

This sounds like the voice of experience.

I was on the fire/rad team Honcho is talking about. I think the Clockwork King caused some trouble, but a lot of encounters were just silly easy. On the other hand, that's true of a lot of stacked defender teams: the Green Machine and the Pinball Wizards spring to mind. (All empaths, and all kinetics).

Personally, I'm planning to take my old Luck Charm character and freeze him at 15. I'm not sure how best to get merits at that level, though. Maybe I could hang out in the AE and go for tickets instead.

Well there is running Positrons, but I know how much of a fan of that TF you are.

I'm thinking that getting on higher level Ourabours teams is the way to go for low level merits.

But you know there will be someone saying, "I can't control my character! I keep running into walls! It's like Speed Boost! I hate Speed Boost!"

Stalkers suit me fine, particularly as a soloist - I'm sure I can probably put
something over on redside Freedom to freeze at L28. I'm not sure what I'll
run blueside, but I'm open to suggestions.

I should be able to hop on board in the next few days.

Don't have a character in the group yet, but I did go ahead and create a fire/rad on Freedom this morning, played to level 5. Just couldn't find anyone on to invite me.

For fir/rad, I'd think I'd want to park at 32 or 33, so I could get my pets.

I've got other characters on Freedom and will probably pick one of them to add to the group too. Concept-wise I'm leaning towards a grav/storm named Quantum Butterfly. level 9 atm, just because I always liked the character and name. But I keep thinking I should pick something that would solo better.

I have a 25 MA scrapper but it's a clone of one I made on Virtue that's level 47 (or rather, actually, the Virtue one is the clone). But I don't think I want to play the Freedom version again.

Also, inspired by the fact that I keep trying to read "Midlevel" as "Medieval", I created a broadsword/shield knight named Medieval Crisis.

I also briefly considered "Midlevel Medieval" or even twins where the second was named "Medieval Midlevel".

But it kind of makes me sad because I can't imagine Medieval Crisis as anything other than a broadsword/shield scrapper, but I wouldn't want to level as high as 35 so I'd never get shield charge. Also, I believe shield is a late-blooming set, not the best choice for a midlevel character.

But I still had to make him.

I had read the other thread and was really interested in joining, and without even reading the suggested powers/ATs, I had made a fire/rad. I'll take that as a positive sign.

Love the idea of getting more 30 range items on the market and will be happy to buy anything your group produces but with the possible exception of the old pool c recipes this sounds like the most inefficient way to do this imaginable.

Just looking at it building a highly efficient AOE build that can solo large missions to 50 then running ouro content rapidly in the 25-30, 30-35 band should get you the recipes faster and generate more inf/prestige etc as well. Level freeze is fine and dandy but having deadheads on something like a citadel would probably work better. 4 running at speed actually doing the TF and 4 locked. The high levelers can use their merits for direct purchase at level points and the locked ins could roll randomly.

On the other hand having a whole bunch of powergamers running around locked in at a low level is certainly a grand way to keep inf from entering the system.

In a vain attempt at holding off Squez for the lead in prestige generation (I haven't been able to log in since morning. *shakes fist at real life*), I've generated about 16,000 AE tickets.

So, far I've generated 154 reward merits (story arcs, Ouro, Winter Event) and have converted 5 of those to random rolls, all level 33 (I have 54 left):

Decimation Acc/Dmg/Rech - sold
Scirocco's Dervish Acc/Dmg/End - sold
Gift of Ancients Runspeed - sold
Obliteration Acc/Dmg/Rech/End - sold
Trap of the Hunter (forget which exactly) - deleted!

I also have a Blessing of Zephyr Travel and Travel/End on the market, as well as *several* Crushing Impact (Dmg/End, Dmg/End/Rech, Dmg/Rech) and Thunderstrikes (Acc/Dmg, Acc/Dmg/End) I've listed. They're all level 33 and courtesy of AE bronze rolls.

Best drop so far: Steadfast Res/Def, which I'll list shortly.

That works at getting Pool A stuff on the market.

It does nothing for the Pool B or C. Hence the level locking concept and random rolling Pool Cs

I'm getting my rear end handed to me (127K to 88K at the moment). I'm totally not used to being in second place.

On the other hand, I have 106 merits in tow which is consoling me a little bit.

And on the third hand I have some rather nice sake smoothing the prestige gathering.

Just a thought, from someone who occasionally finds himself looking for those more obscure sets at mid-levels - it might not be the best idea to just delete them. They may not sell on the market, but if you can get a base up to craft and store them, you may be able to maintain a stash of those uncommon pool Cs for direct sale to interested parties. Lord knows a purpose-built base can have a truly ridiculous amount of storage, so it's not like it would really cost you much of anything (unless they use crazy salvage, of course...). Then, people could ask on the forums if you have one of X, and you could sell it to them directly.

With the AE tickets, and the bronze rolls I made, I have recipes coming out of my ears. Something had to go and honestly a niche recipe that *might* have a buyer will go and stuff like Thunderstrikes, Crushing Impacts and Reactive Armors, that will sell quickly, will stay. The base wasn't even started when I had this, so I had no hesitation of deleting it.

When the base is up and running and has adequate storage, I may list future ones.

I wish i could partake in this but i have no incentive in reactivating my us account and starting new as i still have friends on the eu servers. Still i like what you are doing and hope you are succesful. I might run both accounts but i dunno yet. If i do i´ll hit you up for some redside shenanigans.

It would probably take me an hour or so to PL you up a character on Virtue (home server) to level 22, set you up with some cash (10M) and then you could transfer to Freedom. I'm sure there are others who can do the same.

You don't have to start from scratch. PM me or shoot me a tell via my global if you're interested.

Having done this with my own characters, yes.

And having done this with my own characters... I don't know why it didn't occur to me to do this with my own characters....

Ah well, I still have a 42 blaster on Freedom so I probably could PL myself a little there too... or maybe just begin again. As the Spinal Tap song goes.

You could go Shield/Mace or /Axe, and not only get Shield Charge sooner, but also stronger def and res numbers in the process.

Yeah, but I want to solo on this character... and soloing on a tank is pretty mind-numbing. ^_^ Even WITH shield charge, I suspect.

Anyway I took the above advice and decided to recreate the character on Virtue so I could PL him up a bit first. Sitting at 15 this morning, still working on it.

My first roll: [Recipe:Eradication: Acc/Dam/Rech/End.12]

Put it up on the market, not really expecting a speedy sale. We'll see.

And I'm still waiting for a SG invite. Send a /tell to @Roderick if you're on! Oh, and do we have a global channel yet?

I put a number of useful level 33 IOs in the bins last night. Among them:

Crushing Impact Dmg/Rech, Dmg/End, Dmg/Rech/End
Thunderstrike Acc/Dmg/End, Acc/Dmg
Smashing Haymaker Dmg/Rech/End

They're there for anyone who needs them. I suspect that people will reach level 30 very quickly. First come, first served.

Does anyone want pool B's? I've lost track of the pools, but back when I knew what belonged where, pool B's were all vendor bait.

My experiment with tickets is not going well so far.

Seems like most folks are playing heroes.

I've been leveling an Archery/Pain corrupter; he's at level 29 now. I have a level 50 merc/dark MM that dual boxes with him and either scales down to run bank missions or scales up to run some AE missions for tickets.

I'm on @bionic flea if anyone wants to team.
