For a second when i read the post i suspected BAB was joking since weapon redraw has been a gripe since launch. Having gotten past that i must admit this is unexpected and great news.

Some would point to the elimination of weapon redraw as continuing evidence that we have the most awesome and responsive team of Devs in any MMO. Those people are not on my Christmas card list.*

I can't help but notice that list excludes Katanas...

I kid, I kid... I don't really care. I've never really seen much of a problem with weapon redraw, and I've been playing Katana/SR since the game was in beta. I'm fine with it remaining as-is for a few months.

Wow, that's awesome. I'll also note that I think you've got a good set of priorities for the order you're doing them in (even though you skipped Assault Rifle ) several of the sets there seem like ones where redraw would be a major hassle. In particular the PPPs, Munitions and Trick Arrow are all annoying if you don't have the appropriate other set, and melee sets are a good choice for the more clicky defense sets (i.e. regen).

Holy crap, that's amazingly awesome, and yet another thing I never imagined would happen! Are... are you pulling our legs? I can seriously make a Claws/Regen or Broadsword/DA and not feel penalized for choosing a clicky powerset over a non-clicky one like Willpower? I can use Venom Grenade on my Bane without having to draw the gun, and then redraw the mace?

This feels wrong somehow. I've had awesome news repeatedly over the last two days. This can't be real.

WHY is the WORLD are you people DISTROYING the animations?.. the weapon draw is part of the freeking Look, and i just can't imagin WHY the heck a game that is so great on looks even considers cutting out the animations, or make them look crappy by cutting out the weapon draw...

if you want to now draw a weapon DON"T freeking pick powers that use a freeking Weapon, GAWD

stop trying to be a speed clicker and use your freeking mind, tachtices and let us have the weapon draw and movement lock down during the draw, Re-Draw is good too, if you devs want to make these people that complain happy just put up a kinda minor defensive buff boost while redraw or something, or make the blast a few cliclks harder hitting after the draw, or maybe a acc boost for a few seconds

Stop distroying the game for a Body count in PVP

that's another thing, look at the powers themseves, not all powers should be equal, and targeting should not be automatic epecually in PVP

when one tleports drop targeting, maybe add a laggy targeting system to when someone speeds past, harder to hit a moveing target, but the teleport is my bigest concern, when one ports they shoudl be off the other person target screen, and it should interupt the attacks, ( if I am targeted, and I port, the next attack they tryed would cancel becuse I'm not there)

make the Powers the focus, Not the body count, and Stick it to the PVP'ers make them freekign Work for it.

I have to admit, I don't really care for the idea of getting rid of the redraw animations... I'd like to see the ability to keep a weapon out when using other non-weapon attacks (But I understand how this is an arduous task and don't expect to see it happen... if it ever does... cool/yay/hi-5)... but... making it so that my character puts away the weapon to fire off a different sort of attack and then just has that weapon reappear... is less appealing to me than what we currently have.

I honestly never understood that, when people were talking about "redraw issues" they were referring to the animation of redraw... I thought they were just sick of their weapon being put away for other attacks.

Hrm... Just posting my opinion that the aesthetic of the redraw is one I enjoy and would likely find unappealing with insta-magic-poof-reappearing weapons.

Whatever my opinion is worth, it's posted, at least!

Term: Gimped for concept

Losing redraw helps RP aspects more than forcing a subpar character on anyone who wants particular power combinations.

Also: how hilarious that the only people who want to counter-gripe about weapon redraw only come out when BABs announces he can fix it.

Read BAB's post again, then just hit your attack power of choice before you're in range of a target.

Voila. A draw animation. Best of both worlds.

My Regen scrapper, on the other hand, will be enjoying the fact that she no longer has to wait an extra second after popping her heal because she's too dumb to regenerate with a broadsword in her hand for some reason. ?_?

Oh, and, I don't PvP.
