And/Or/Also, were such high amounts thrown about because of the idea of the event, or mostly because it was for the PERC cause? Doubt Rednames would have been there if it weren't for the PERC aspect, but they didn't fetch as much as one would guess they would IMO.

I think people liked the idea of the auction regardless of who was hosting it, it was a fun new event never before on Victory (that I am aware of). I also think people liked the idea that a portion of the auctioned inf was going towards more events on Victory. It's very tough to organize events when you have no bank (I mean I give out stuff of my own "pocket" like I did for the auction, but it's impossible to ask every rep to do that). So now Victory has a very good size bank to host events with

Speaking of next time, I have a thought. Since this event WAS so popular (and if I didn't say it before, good job!), it follows the next one may be even more popular. Now this doesn't sound like a problem until you hit multiple instances.
The only solution I've been able to idly ponder for this is having a 2nd MC and set of banks ready, with the MC at least on vent with MP. Won't solve door prize issues, so maybe someone else may have a better solution.

Thanks for the thought IK. I did have a contingency plan in place in case the event spawned multiple instances. I appreciate you looking out. The next auction will probably be about one year from now, or if people are begging for it, maybe in six months.

Ele was at his woman's house during the auction. She lives in BFE, so internet was a no-go. He texted his brother to bid on TehVIII, and he planned on paying with his redside bank, but silly bro decided to pay blueside >.<
I *should* be back to CoHLand sometime around the middle of this week, college and junk stacking up a bit.
Hopefully I'll tie the rope around TehVIII and drag him through some IW funtimes this week and next week. That's the plan anyway, nothing peril-like. I heard the stories, and you sir, are a mean one.

Sorry I wasn't there; I actually forgot about he event, and no one emailed me, PM'd me, or shouted at me in chat about it. I'm actually extremely surprised that I drew that much money, but now that I know who the lucky winner was, I'm not only honored but also blushing.
I didn't buy or win anything but that was the most fun I've had in CoH for like 2 years.
