Way Cool! Only had time to try it with a female, and I noted that I walked considerably faster than a male. We walked side by side to compare. His slowness is pretty drastic...not sure if that's intended but don't think it should be.
I managed to turn at least one head with my panda today as I walked up the ramp of the train station, right past a hero going down. I can't say if it was the panda or the walk that did it, but I'm was very happy to be able to do that just the same.

EDIT: Ah yes, so I can stop myself doing arms-akimbo. Still, the animation is hardly to the standard of newer stuff. I don't like how the legs are completely set in stone on either of them. What I end up doing is using Eat, Drink, or the MA pad if I'm idling around atlas; those idle animations are actually animations, as you shift your weight around, moving with your whole body. It's very subtle, but as BaBs knows, it's the difference between a bunch of polygons and an animated character. Plus, like flyposes, it's a manual emote that dies whenever you move. Man, how anal am I? |

So, I wonder if there will be badges associated with distance traveled / exploration done while walking (once it's back). Nothing like slowing things down and taking in the sights.
