If I remember correctly its not on the crystal, talk to the warshade looking guy in the corner of Ouro.

Edit: Just checked the wiki, it looks like its a mission given out by Sunstorm to Kheldians.

Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard
Keep Calm & Chive On!

Only HEATs can get this arc started, and it doesn't give 29 merits anymore. I think, reward was reduced in i14.

Yup 4 is the number of merits for that arch now

Been a bit bored chasing Purples, but the +2/x8 is great for prestige.

So I just switched back to Ouro (having forgotten how fun and profitable it could be).

I've begun retooling builds for Ouro/Merit optimization at level 30 and 40.

This weekend I should have a 2nd build on my Fire/MM with (IIRC) ~20% +rech, a Numina unique, stealth IO, 12% Recovery and some nice additional +Regen on top of Drain Psyche. She'll have Super speed along with both Aim and Build-up (Concentration).

This toon will have an Emp in tow (with all Emp powers!) and one of my 50's (with TP) standing at the arc contact. For the last mish of the arc I'll bring the TPer into the mish for some quick-fast, triple-merit goodness!

Is there a specific name for the "Spy Hunt" arc? I just looked through wiki and it doesn't list anything in the villain arcs under that title.

After the Wall Fell

Contact is Dimitri Krylov (level 10-14)

1st mission is "Defeat Experiment 236 and witnesses"

@Catwhoorg "Rule of Three - Finale" Arc# 1984
@Mr Falkland Islands"A Nation Goes Rogue" Arc# 2369 "Toasters and Pop Tarts" Arc#116617

Is that really a good arc for merits? It is showing 6 door missions (5 defeat all). I usually keep my defeat all missions to a minimum. Are they all really short missions?

Correction, 1 defeat all...now I understand.

It took me 48 min to complete. Apparently Spetnatz commandos are no match for my Ninja Warriors.

Wondered what the average time for Spy Hunt was?

Midas Touched @ 11 merits in 30 min seems profitable..thoughts?

16 Merits calculates to about a median of 80 mins for the story arc rewards.

20 merits/hour for a TF
12 merits/hour for an arc

I really need to tify up the wiki merit reward page, the equation is now severely out-dated and most of the links are to the old boards and hence dead.

9+ continuous hours =
guaranteed LotG at whatever level of your choosing
or
10 random rolls at maximum range (or your own) level

9+ non-continuous hours = a weekend of playtime for many people (?)

So an LotG each weekend for however long you can stand running the same arc.

Kitteh, that's what i did after reading this post. I mainly farm my fire/kin because i tend to solo 80% of time. But after reading this post, i took my Kat/Regen and did the Freakalympics. It was amazingly easy as i think i only had to tap reconstruction once during the whole thing. Took me 1.5 hours but it shouldn't the next time as i know what i gotta do on the mishes next time. Gave like 34 merits.

I think this is gonna be my new fave past time, when not on the BM map. lol. May make a fire/fire scrapper and see which Oro mishes i could blaze thru with more AoE than my Kat.

Any other good ones blueside to try? Mainly for speed, not xp.

90 mins for 34 merits is pretty good. Using a reasonable benchmark...very good ITF teams will take 75-80 mins to get 28 merits.

I'm still looking at certain arc ranges, but if you make that fire/fire scrapper then consider the arcs with the Banished Pantheon as the main critter group. Their minions don't resist fire, energy nor lethal too well. Maybe the LTs too...I'm not sure, but if it's just the minions, every little advantage helps

Edit (quoting myself heh): And if you are reeeeeally motivated then take a week and each weekend on both sides of it. If all you did was that arc then that's 3 LotGs in 10 days or so for 300-350M on today's market (?) That's an abundance of funds for building serious market wealth.

Hey Gang:

Took the forum's advice and spent my 100 merits accumulated while Flashbacking and random rolled:

Crafted and available Red-side at Level 33: Lockdown Quad, Mako Tri, Perform Shift R/A, Teleport +Stealth. Amazingly the Analyze Weakness rare sold instantly.

For quick merits, Kelly Nemmer's 'Hatred's Hungry Heart' isn't bad. It's only 7 merits, but for a character with decent stealth it's an easy 15 minutes a run if you let the hostage die in the first mission.

Good ITF teams speed-running for merits would be 30 minutes or less. Of course, the advantage of an arc is no diminishing returns.

  1. ITF reward was reduced to 26 merits in i16
  2. People, I'm running ITF with on regular basis, would condider 75-80 min ITF as a failure even if defeat most on invincible ( and invincible is no longer available ).

I was under the impression that arcs had diminishing returns as well.

Enjoy your day please.

I consider an extreme-speed ITF as a statistical outlier.
Not WRT volume, but WRT the % of subs that run them.

Happily, they do not.

So what's the overall best Hero-side flashback arc for merits?

Nice try, Posi.

Seriously though, I won't ever have much to say about that b/c if I find a good arc or three, I don't want a high-volume of speed/optimal runs bringing down the merit rewards.

Having said that, among other things, it will vary based upon how your toon is built (SS, stealth, etc), what short-cut tool you have (Pocket D tp, Vet reward Base tp, etc) and your dmg output vs. critter resistance, etc. For example...

* Ice blaster vs. Freaks= not ideal they resist Cold
* WS, DM scrap or Psy blaster vs. Banished = not ideal, they resist NegNrg and Psi
* Nrg/Nrg blaster vs. Freaks = ideal, they are vulnerable to Nrg
* SR or Shields vs. Tsoo = better than a Res based toon b/c the Tsoo's debuffs won't hit ya

Actually, my answer for earning merits would be 'Posi'. I've run it quite a few times since merits were introduced. Task forces have an earning advantage right off since they are intended to give higher mph (merits per hour) than arcs. I think I've run it.... oh.... more than thirty times since merits were introduced.
