Ms. Liberty - Incarnate?
Just a quick ingame question:
Ms. Liberty's powers come from her belt, the Girdle of Hera / Liberty Belt. Additionally, she has also genetically inherited superhuman strength and durability from her mother, Miss Liberty, who herself genetically inherited her fair share of superhuman strength and durability from her father, Statesman, who as we all know, got his powers by drinking water from the Well of the Furies. Does this make Ms. Liberty an Incarnate, even if watered down a bit? |
Maybe. Maybe not. Nothing in canon says that the powers of an Incarnate are inheritable.
Im still wondering if any of our heroes will ever get to be Incarnate ??
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
I believe (and someone correct me if i'm wrong), that for there to be another Incarnate there will have to be some sort of superhero armageddon where we all disappear/are destroyed/depowered and another incarnate ushers in a new age?

Edit: NM, her powers are granted from the Well of the Furies through her belt.
Anyone who drinks from the Fountain of Zeus at the Well of the Furies would become an Incarnate.
There's just a couple problems with that, though.
1) No one's sure where it is, except for Statesman and Lord Recluse, and they aren't telling. (Statesman for ostensibly altruistic reasons, and Lord Recluse because he doesn't want to have to deal with anyone else on potentially the same power level as him.)
2) The cave that the fountain was in collapsed after Stefan and Marcus drank from the well. So, probably a bit hard to get to, even if someone knows where it is (see point 1).
Also, keep in mind that even if a character did drink from the Fountain of Zeus, Statesman and Lord Recluse have easily 80+ years of experience in using their powers. Also, there's no guarantee of what god/mythological being you would be linked to.
I think the indication is that, bar contenders from the last round (IE Stheno, Imperious, the Sisters) there are only States, Recluse, and imperfect Incarnations. Which begs the question of how the Incarnate Epic was going to be handled before it was dropped.
"Hey guys, remember me? From the well?"

She's only a half saiya--err, incarnate.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

We're getting into speculative territory, now, but I rather thought the implication was that the box was "lost until the next age of gods" and not necessarily destroyed.

"Twice before, the box had been opened and much of the captured energy had escaped. The world, of which the box was only vaguely aware, had gone through many changes in the years that followed its opening. Men and women gained powers, faught wars, raised great empires, and then destroyed them. In the end, always, someone had returned and closed the box and the process had begun again. It assumed the same thing would occur this time."
And I don't think she actually uses it (cuz she is just "holding" it) , but chick is wearing freaking EXCALIBER!!!! Thats gotta count for something!

Good chance she won't mind if you "borrow" something for a day and never return it?

She's not capable of wielding it. Hero 1 gave it to her when he left on his suicide mission (and aren't we glad Honoree doesn't have it!), but she isn't able to use it.

Hey, just the fact that she can WEAR it at her side has got to be giving her some good ju ju. I mean it's freaking excaliber. In some stories just wearing the scabbard alone is enough to make you "not die from loss of blood". I wan't that proc!
