I wasn't able to justify anything other than a five star rating for any of the best TO range arc nominees so picking my favorites was really tough. I actually learned a thing or two from 15+ Minute Tutorial - Knowledge is Power #28470 @Paula which I didn't expect having been using the MA for a while now. It always pays to brush up on the basic and the arc is just chalk full of useful info presented in a enjoyable an imaginative way and employs clever use of objects to collect. Nuclear in 90: The Fusionette Task Force #58363 @Cavatina has the alliterative named heroes to fight, which is one of my favorite comic book conventions, and deserves extra points for making fun of Fusionette. Day Job Hell: A Villain’s First Day Job # 322480 @Clave Dark 5 was just super fun to play. Very inventive use of recolored standard mobs and I loved the Guano Beast and the Sewer Workers and the cake! The humor was decidedly blue or should I say brown? And the groan factor is off the charts in a good way. Extra points for referencing one of my favorite episodes of MST3K and the colorful contact.

Best TO Range Arc (1-15)

1st Place -Mercytown, the one with the fish #6017 @Tangler
2nd Place-The Marconeville Horror #178278 @Footloose

In the end I had to go with the ones that were the most challenging to finish cause they had the toughest final fights, at least for me, and therefore were the ones I'd most likely replay often. The Marconeville Horror has some great dialog from its critters and a very cool time travel theme that lets us get a feel for the bloody heyday of Manuel Marcone. Extra points for the Scooby Doo reference. Mercytown had great maps and like I said the final fight with the ambushes proved very challenging for a lowbie character and I loved that. Extra points for the very cool Chinatown reference and the whole gothic feel of the piece.

In addition to being frightened of people, I lack confidence in myself, so seeing that something I wrote came out well enough to receive an honorable mention... it's significant for me. It's more than I expected, honestly.

I played all of these arcs and the quality of each was excellent. It was very hard for me to compare the Audition with the others. I know it is Multi-Part but it has such a different experience. That being said my votes for Best Multi-Part Arc (2+ arcs) are:

1st Place: The Audition Part 1 #221240 and Part 2 #221241 @MRCaptainMan (because his sense of humor works so well for me that I couldn't stop smiling)

2nd Place: The Consequences of War Part 1 #227331 and Part 2 #241496 @Dalghryn (this arc is awesome and I wish I could have two first place votes)

SO-range arcs....wow tough call. Can I cheat? Since we're voting with points (two to the first choice and one to the second) can I just vote for three arcs to get one point each? If I can, I choose:

Nope, I want to stick to 2 picks. Unless you want to change the order yourself, I'll give PW 1st place, and Cheshire Cat 2nd, leaving it to your subconcience to decide for you (or the default listing order) Though I will use this post when I do my final analysis - checking to see if a different scoring method would affect the final results in any way, for curiosity sake.

Just a quick word about the Honorable Mentions for TO range arcs. I played all three of them and can in good conscience recommend all three for anybody who wants to experience some heart-warming nostalgia for their lowbie days of fighting Hellions and Skulls.

Londerwost's arc has one of my favorite outdoor maps in the first mission that it is refreshing to see used for something else besides power-leveling farms. Also Ms. Liberty seemed to be channeling Dominatrix at one point which was pretty funny and you even get a chance to rescue a Signature Hero. Not bad managing to cram so much into an arc that only has two missions.

Mutajenn's is a great story told well, with an antagonist that is both creepy and sad at the same time. One typo I did notice is in the Contact's still busy dialog for the first mission. "There" should be their. Liked the way patrols and ambushes were used together to increase the action.

Soul Train's arc is of course part of that much maligned genre of Origin stories but was actually quite good *gasp!* if you don't mind that kind of thing and some of my favorite comic book arcs are origin stories.

Still working my way through the DO arc stories and I'm starting to think there's no way I'll be able to play all the nominees before the deadline for voting but it's sure fun trying.

Serious arcs posted. This was so close between two of the arcs (all 5 judges played them, 2 favored one, 2 favored the other, and one was undecided) that I decided to include them both. So congratulations to our six finalists, as well as our honorable mention: The American Revolution Remixed #31700 @Silenex. And thank you to Eva Destruction and Grinning Spade for judging, and also to Wrong Number and Airhead who helped me try to decide the last spot before giving up and including both.
