Congrats! I really enjoyed this arc.

Quote:Thank you for doing this. Finally getting some plays on one of my arcs was such a great way to start the new year.Realizing that we have reached the first year anniversary of this contest the Legion has decided to do something for the winners over our past year...or at least one of them. We will be running each of the eleven arcs that won in 2011 (May had no entries due to AE bugs) and will be giving a bonus prize of 500 Million to the author of the arc that we consider to be the best of the best; that is the previous winning arc that gets the most votes from our playerbase. There is no deadline on this contest; as it to run it in conjunction with our usual monthly arc it may take us an extra week or so to get through all of them; but sometime in the next six weeks an announcement will be made on whose arc was chosen as the absolute best of our winners for 2011. All of them were quite good so I do expect this to be a challenge for our members.
The winning arcs from 2011 are:
Tales of Cimerora: Of Feathers and Fur... Arc ID 12647 by @Nebulhym
Suppression Arc ID 374481 by @Gypsy Rose
Nova Roma: American Empire Arc ID 347594 by @Liberty X
Day Job Hell: A Villain's First Day Job Arc ID 322480 by @Clave Dark 5
The Golden Age Secret of the Paragon Society Arc ID 344596 by @Wrong Number
The Golden Scepter Arc ID 9852 by @Mystic Fortune
Small Fears Arc ID 12285 by @Wall of Knight
Save the Diver, Save the World Arc ID 183832 by @Ankylosaur
The Coldest of Wars Arc ID 299972 by @Zaphir
The Serpent Beyond the Horizon Arc ID 515140 by @Ankylosaur
City of Ho Ho Ho Arc ID 18775 by @Tubbius
Being considered or winning this special prize does not make you ineligible to enter our regular monthly contests. The only person who is ineligible is the winner of the previous month.
Happy 2012! -
Thanks for the recommendation. I played this arc and really enjoyed it. It had nice customs, was well written, and had nice bits of humor mixed in.

This is one of my favorite arcs. It is full of details, makes great use of clues, and has a mystery that makes it so much fun to play.
If you are looking for a well crafted arc that is lots of fun to play this is a great choice. -

Quote:I changed this and also fixed the level. One minor request, ArrowRose?
I've long since officially shortened the name of PENGUIN to use only the acronym itself. If you could, please change up the title in your initial post to match?
Thank you!
If anyone else has made a change to their arc that they would like reflected here, let me know. -
I updated the Arcs sorted by category to include Drama.
Don't forget anyone is welcome to submit an arc as described in the first post of this thread. -

I found this arc in PW's contact tree and I really enjoyed it. It makes great use of clues, has nice customs with bios, and has a good story that kept my interest alll the way through.
If you are looking for a very well-crafted mid level story arc, this is a great choice! -
Congrats! I really enjoyed this arc.

Quote:I think I updated the levels. Let me know if I missed anywhere. Thanks for playing it and the kind words
*edit* by the way, you have it listed as being levels 5-14, and it is actually 1-10 (I recently lowered the top end). Only the last mission requires level 5, by which time anyone who starts the arc at level 1 or 2 should be level 5.
Thanks again for submitting it. -
Quote:I played Welcome to M.A.G.I. and I really enjoyed it. The arc is well-crafted, makes good use of clues and was fun to play. Thanks to Doctor Gemini for submitting it.No More Fires For This Marshall

This was a fun, amusing, lowbie arc. I liked the fact that the story is supposed to be humorous rather than serious but it is not too silly to take you out of your character (for those to whom such things matter).
My own arc is also a lowbie arc, ideally for a brand new character, but playable by levels 1-14.

I played this arc because it was an entry in Trekkin's monthly arc contests. It had a good story, made good use of clues and had nice customs with good bios. I especially liked the last return dialog.

Quote:Thanks for playing and submitting another arc.I played 477906 - One Night Bridge V30-54 and have to say it was excellent. It had a real moral dillemna--I chose the side that made me fail the arc, but was very happy with my choice.
(Makes me wish there was a way to side with one or other side to flip-flop allies--but I suspect the mechanics and the story mechanics would be tricky to allow for either branching or just to make sense with two paths).
It had a creative use of maps, dialog, and even powersets to make up for the fact that we can't use Kheldians in the arcs. There was one map in the middle that was sort of long, that I wish was the crey portal map instead, but, I am not even sure that's available--that's me overthinking it.
Great stuff!
I am going to plug another of mine too--very few plays--but they resulted in an honest 4 stars. 183832 - Save the diver, Save the world.

Quote:Thanks for playing my arc. I am so glad that you enjoyed it.I played Vigilante, 395861, a fun, solid arc with a good variety of mobs. It has some very creative elements to it, especially in the last mission.
I may not post often enough to qualify to submit, but I'll throw one of mine into the hat -- Condemning Croatoa, arc 245534, which is at 4 stars currently and is designed for villains to solo. The only thing I think it needs is some color dialog text, (need to figure out the conventions on that) and the time manipulation powerset for one of the custom bosses.
I will add your arc to the list. There is no requirement to post a lot. I just wanted to be sure that the people who have arcs on the list still play CoH. People work hard on their arcs and love feedback and so I would rather have feedback go to people who are around to appreciate it. -

I re-played this arc because I was looking for something quick and fun. I played it a long time ago and I had forgotten how many different customs there were. I enjoyed the arc even more the second time around. The customs were great, complete with bios. The arc was easy to solo on a level 35

Thanks for recommending this! I remember hearing how good it was before and not being able to play it.
