Problems with the In-Game Store

Greetings Players,

This message is to give everyone a heads up that we are aware of the issue with the in-game store and are working to resolve the problem. Please note that you may experience up and down time (with the in-game store) until the problem is resolved.

Please note that this will not affect access to our servers and will only affect in-game Microtransactions like Character Transfers, Character Renames, Character Slot purchases, Access to purchased Character Slots (that do not have a Character created and assigned to it), Character Respec purchases, and Mission Architect Slot purchases.


This is for both North American and European servers.

It seems like this thing is down like every other day, expected time when it's going to be available? I'd like to do a server transfer so I can maybe slot out my character please.

grrrr i deleted a char out of my account an now i have lost a slot that he was in, how cani get this slot back ?

I really hope this gets fixed before the... people who fix this stuff... go home for the weekend.

I probably use the in-game store about twice a month on average, so it's just my luck that I get an idea for a new toon, or a new name for an old toon this week and the store is unavailable.

I have 5 character slots empty atm, if they should be missing when store is up I will say, and it not a bad thing but I have been trying to make new characters after this power proliferation. I know they could of been done but for me there is a lot of thought prior to producing toons hence the free slots atm.

up and down time? LOL
I saw about an hour of up time since 5pm Thursday... and that hour of uptime was after server maint. was finished.....
As this is part of the REVENUE.. u guys get... That this problem would be a priority....

I deleted a toon on Victory to create another, so I could level pact it with my better half, and the slot is now locked.

Same thing happened to me earlier today also.
I purchased a "name change" yesterday for a toon I had on Guardian.
Then purchased a "server change" to take it to Infinity.
Then purchased some extra slots on Infinity for new toons.
Today I decided to delete the ones I created late last night and I get the old "lock-out" also.
If I were to lose my money on this??

The store isn't an issue but having all my extra slots, both purchased and vet-earned, be inaccessible is entirely annoying. I'd even go so far as to say unacceptable if this weren't just a game, but even still I paid good money to make damn sure I wouldn't be without slots on my favorite server. If this isn't resolved until Monday... That will certainly be a black mark on their record. Really the first significant black mark in the nearly five years I've been playing.

Grrr. Arrggh.

Hey just FYI I've already contacted Support about this, but I was charged twice for a character transfer on Sept. 22.

Not saying this has to do with the "Problems with the In-Game Store", but I'd recommend checking your bank statement if you've done anything game-related involving real money recently.

Ok, this is now getting old (having to wait until this thing is resolved before creating a new toon). Hopefully they'll get this fixed ASAP or I see a lot of PO'd folks about this over the weekend about this.

Wow this is totally frustrating... I deleted one toon for the purpose of a re-roll and another after that slot showed up "locked." (The second slot being one of my original server slots too.) Seriously, how can a slot that has been filled for OVER 2 years by an inactive toon come up as being locked? I am gonna be PISSED if I lose those names!!! Additionally, I'm so glad I spent $20 on the extra 5 character slots. They're coming in so handy on my favorite server with THIS being the only time I'll be able to play during the next few months. Come on guys, a little communication goes a very long way in situations like this. Maybe a mention of this on the coh home page so people don't lose their favorite character names in a situation similar to mine???

AND I certainly hope that talk of Monday in wrong. As someone in a previous post put it.... that borders on being unacceptable.

I'm SO glad I checked here... I deleted a toon to remake it with a new i16 build only to find the slot locked, two days ago! I was about to start pruning back on my least popular alts so I could get back to my original slots, thinking it was just my purchased slots I'm locked out of, so I could save the deleted name and it seems even that wouldn't have helped. I feel every bit of your frustration Gardo!

Come on devs, how about some reassurance here?

We know a "this will be fixed by X time/date" is too much to ask for, but "we are working on this non-stop" would go a long way to kerbing the growing frustration we're feeling.

And what happens if those of us who did delete a favorite-named alt, intending to recreate it, finally get our slots unlocked only to find someone else got "our" name???

I can tell you that if there's no feedback and I lose the name I was using/intending to re-use, I'm getting annoyed enough there's a couple other MMO's out there I'll be happy to spend my money on instead.

Account maintenance was supposed to be done days ago. Someone forget to the basic "do a backup so you roll back" before things got screwed up? *Sigh* Ok, mistakes happen, but feedback helps a lot.


L50 as a Tank, Mastermind, Soldier, Blaster, Defender & Brute so far. Still trying testing alts in search of my 'main'. So many possibilities!

Another expression of frustration here.


I can make characters everywhere except my 'home' server. Come on, guys. I gave you the money for extra slots there and even so I can't make characters there.*


I'm was considering a second account (with all the extra packs to go with it), many people here run two or more accounts; show them a bit of customer courtesy, please.


A bit of an update wouldn't go amiss; it's a fairly large part of the game making characters!

Many of us are in the same boat.I understand things happen,takes time,etc,etc.
However,it seems you would be pushing to have this fixed before the weekend.Well.....the weekend is here and still no fix.
Time to get the whips and chains out and start cracking it

ok, seriously now..
The Dev's have been TOTALLY absent this past week.
No patches to fix bugs. The Store not working at all, making charcter creation impossible.

I am very very very disappointed in you guys. Not even an announcment saying any kind of problems in house... If this lack of Dev activity, right after a release of an Issue, is due to the H1N1 Flu from PAX, then an announcment saying so should be in order, so people know that their complaints are not falling on deaf ears, just really sick ones.
