I imagine it's because rez powers can only be used on players (I'm guessing, I don't know for sure). Besides, just resummon if one dies, easy as that. If they die again before the summon recharges, that's a pretty good sign you bit off more than you can chew.

Thanks for this Posi. I plan on building a new PC early next year and it gives me a good starting point when it comes to the video card.
-
Thanks Texas Justice, I did a quick search but only saw Walk discussions.
My searchfu failed me. -
Anybody else have animation glitches while using Combat Jumping or Super Jump with a shield displayed?
I've narrowed it down to a problem with my shield being displayed but I don't have any other shield using characters to test it on.
Bug report submitted also. -
Quote:I was thinking the same thing but to me the AT's just don't match up right to make that work. The alternative would be to map Hero EPPs to the reformed villains using some sort of AT to AT mapping, Brutes to Scrappers (ew), MMs to Tanks (both are fairly meh), Domis to Controllers (issues with a fair few duplicate powers, but it'd rock), Stalkers to Blasters (again it'd be a bit weird, Stalkers with PFF?), Corrupters to Defenders (pretty nice).

I have a feeling that villains will still be stuck with PPP selections without the actual "patron".

Quote:This is kind of how I feel. I will make a DP character no question, the AT and secondary are still undecided (no Defender for me, the guns are the source of his power and therefore the most powerful aspect of the character) but it will depend on what set will have the least redraw. But we'll see, maybe I can learn to accept the redraw for the benefits of /kin.If there were no redraw I would probably make a DP/kin... but there will probably be redraw, so I'll probably not make anything.
EDIT: Wouldn't it be nice if BAB's or someone had the time to get rid of redraw all together? -
I'm very happy with my Electric/Shield scrapper. I had the resources to completely IO it out and it performs exactly how I want it. Haven't tried AV's or the RWZ Challenge yet though and don't really feel the need to.
-
Personally, I can't imagine not having build up but you are right that you can get along without it with this set. After LR+SC most minions and Lt's are dead.

Quote:This is exactly how I feel.Yeah... sorry. If you give up a name, you give up the name. You don't have any more 'right' to that name than anyone else. It's certainly absurd to think that someone you don't know would somehow be able to read your mind to know if they give it up later that they should inform you. Telepathy is not in the game you know. I know I've had really good names, deleted that character then later on decided to remake them and found the name had been taken in the mean time. That's just the way it goes. If you give up the name, it's anybody's to claim.
Every time I hit 'delete' I do so knowing that there is a good possibility that I will not get the name back. It's just how it works. This is even more so when I release a name for someone else to use. For all I know they will quit the game the next day and never really use the name or release it again for someone to use. -
So can I take all this enthusiasm for Rad to mean that it's a decent blast set? I've been on the fence over whether or not to roll one.
-
I would have to say mine would be a running back.
-
I'm off those days anyway so I will definitely be playing as much as I can (which may not be much with all the stuff I have to do around the house).
-
I've been getting almost bombarded with people I've never met asking me to team with them. They've all been polite too which makes me feel bad when I have to turn down the offer.
-
Another thing to remember is utilize Touch of Fear on something that might cause you trouble. Even if you're beating on it and it gets to fight back, the hefty tohit debuff is nice. Personally, I love to use it on those dang Council marksman and then go to work on his friends.
-
Good advice. However, some people have unknowingly released a reserved name and are understandably frustrated that they can't get it back right away. Adding to the frustration is the lack of information about a resolution and the possibility that it won't get fixed until the end of the weekend.

Well, to me neither Physical Perfection or Fireball are better than each other since they serve different purposes. It would just depend on what you want.
I want to go Body Mastery since it would fit my character's concept better as well as providing more ACC from FA and a little more recovery and survivability from PP. However, I do see the draw of Blaze mastery for the damage potential. -
Same here. Blaze Mastery won't really fit my concept but I'll likely have an alternate build with it just in case I need more damage.
-
I never said don't use IO's. I said don't worry too much about IO sets. IO's to me are fabulous and I personally start using them at level 7 if I happen to get the salvage. In fact, I haven't bought a DO or SO since IO's came out.
-
I rerolled my former 36 Elec/Elec blaster into a Elec/Shield scrapper using the electric looking shield option.
Also, a Fire/Earth Dom sounds fun also. -
BS is nice because of Parry adding to your defenses.
Fire and Elec are nice for the reasons you described as well. Between those two I think Fire would be on top for damage. -
I have limited experience with builds but the best advice I can give you is to search through the forums for /SR builds and look at how they're put together and try to do the same for Elec/ even though the set is still new to scrappers. Then, get a hold of a character builder program such as Mid's Hero Designer and put a build together.
What I do know is that most if not all /SR powers are worthwhile which tends to not leave you a lot of options for your primary powers and pools.
Also, don't worry too much about IO sets until you're 50 and able to understand and afford your options. That said, keep an eye out for recipe drops that are useful you such as the Unique that grant good bonuses. An example would be the Miracle +Recovery one that just about anyone in the game can make use of.
I don't know how long you've been with the game so I apologize if I have restated stuff you already know. -
I don't have Mid's at work so I can't dig very deep into your build but I know I wouldn't slot Twilight Grasp that way, it needs accuracy. Even with having Focused Accuracy there's nothing worse (to me) than missing when you really need a heal.
Also, I like having more slots in Tar Patch to have it up more often.
