It's most likely some setting you have that is a little high, like the others have said. Pratoria is pretty graphically intensive. Maybe try rolling a new toon that is Hero or Villain, and see if the lag is carrying over to those zones. -
It is still in use, just not by triumphers it seems

I got it to go to the game select screen finally, and it seems to freeze, but leaving it alone for about 2 minutes it does go to the game -
Obviously if they are not giving a time, its an issue they havent solved yet. Calm downnnnnnnn

And please wear minimal effects costumes, as we tend to get super laggy as it is with a full zone and everyone clustered together. -
yeah. forgot to add that after doin that, i wasnt able to get onto the website, nor was the updater connecting either.
just ran a Kahn, and didnt have the issue. will try to mass team a v-day event later and see if i can repeat it. -
On the triumph server, had a group of people running the Valentines Day stuff.
Right at the start, when the mission was put up, we had all but 3 people completely mapserve off, and take a minute to even load up anything City of Heroes. It came back up.
15 minutes or so later, we had a huge lag spike, and rubberbanded back after about 20 seconds. Same 5 people.
Then a little bit after that, same 5 people on the team got mapservered again.
Not sure whats goin on with this, but im afraid to do much of anything right now til i know for sure this stops. -
i have that issue too Snowy. I noticed it probably around i19 release actually. Just figured it was another windows feature.

You know, I'm just glad they had the wisdom to wait until 1/3 of the country was stuck at home with time to actually play task forces before they took the game down with 30 minutes notice in the early afternoon. That way, they not only irritated those who were playing the strike forces, but also people who'd planned to use the late afternoon to get one in before the wife came home.
Seriously, does anyone look at server load before they decide on an emergency fix that only effects people playing at a level where they ought to KNOW to read the "URGENT" messages? -

Ok here's my thing. I've been playing this game since 2004 and it seems that when ever a new issue comes out, a couple of days after there is always a patch to fix it. My question is do they test to see of it will be a problem when they go live with the issue? Seems like it's never the case.
As being in a relationship with an IT guy, i know first hand from the stress that things that are tested perfectly, don't always pan out perfectly when it goes "live".
Its the nature of modifying code. Sometimes something embeded in the code doesnt agree with the new code and creates havoc -

calm down. obviously something was messed up royally that they are fixing. It happens. Its not like this is an every day occurrence. So just breathe and read up on some builds or jabber on your home server's forums. Or kill some brain cells by watching American Idol. lol
