All excited that i16 was out, resubbed, and sent my Kheld to the tailor.. and discovered that Veats can't modify thier color palette. What the @#@!?

Fastest resub and cancelation in MMO history.

First off, Kheldians aren't villains

Secondly, Kheldians are in line to get color customization, they just weren't in the first round. In the future, you might wanna read what sets are actually getting a feature first

Um, they're working on that. There's some issue whether or not to let them because of the game lore surrounding them.

Pool powers and epic powers are in the pipeline, just weren't ready in time to release with i16.

Also, Kheldians are Heats, not Veats.

And to think it never had to happen if you'd actually read about the feature.

Indeed. Welcome to last month, OP

As an aside, it's probably going to get done sooner or later, once they can figure out the tech to recolor replacement avatars used in Dwarf and Nova forms. Although VEATs would be easier to do, they probably won't be done until HEATs get the treatment, for parity's sake.

But reading is so HAAAARDDDD.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Am I'm begging the Devs to not let this stop them. I gosta have a Gold Peacebringer haha

Don't let lore or some sort of appeal to species or whatever stop you, Devs. Light can appear in multiple hues, ya know, and as for a species or race, look at the color variations with Humans and Housecats...

Now, limiting Peacebringers to the Light Colors and Warshades to the Dark Colors; I have no problems with that, but please let us change the colors of our Kheld Powerzzz...*blink blink*

While we're at it, I also want the the new tier 9 Eagle Claw Martial Arts animation for Incadescent Strike and the New Super Strength Groundstrike animation for Solar Flare. Radiant strike is okay, but wouldn't hurt to throw in an alt. animation there too

Not that I'm desparate or anthing

Your nerdrage and disappointment are entriely your own fault.

From the July 15th announcement of the (then) upcoming Issue 16: Power Spectrum

Quote:
Customizable Powers

Customizable powersets include Cold Domination, Dark Armor, Dark Blast, Dark Melee, Dark Miasma, Earth Control, Electric Armor, Electric Assault, Electric Blast, Electric Melee, Electricity Manipulation, Empathy, Energy Assault, Energy Aura, Energy Blast, Energy Manipulation, Energy Melee, Fiery Aura, Fire Assault, Fire Blast, Fire Control, Fire Manipulation, Fire Melee, Force Field, Gravity Control, Ice Armor, Ice Assault, Ice Blast, Ice Control, Ice Manipulation, Ice Melee, Illusion, Invulnerability, Kinetics, Mental Manipulation, Mind Control, Necromancy, Ninjitsu, Pain Domination, Plant Control, Poison, Psionic Assault, Psychic Blast, Radiation Blast, Radiation Emission, Regeneration, Sonic Resonance, Sonic Attack, Spines, Stone Armor, Stone Melee, Storm Summoning, Super Reflexes, Thermal Radiation, Thorny Assault and Willpower.

Super Strength and Martial Arts will each receive an alternate animation for their powers, and Stone Armor and Necromancy will include limited customization.
I don't see the EAT powersets anywhere on that very specific list of powersets, do you? And, to answer your next questions, the Pool Powers and Patron / Ancilliary Power Pools are not customizable either.

You made an assumption based on no evidence. Even popping onto the forum and asking a question would have gotten you the answer you were looking for very quickly, as the EATs not being customizable has been common knowledge since July 15th.

We have been told that with the lion's share of the powers done, next on the Power Customization table would be the Pool Powers, then the APPs / PPPs. EATs may or may not follow, since they are initimately tied into the canon.

Even if they do allow EAT customization, you may not be able to customize the Nova or Dwarf forms, for reasons similar to why you cannot customize Granite Armor. These aren't VFX that overlay your character. These forms are NPC models that replace your character. In order to make it work under the current system, they would need to make a separate NPC model for every possible color combination.

New story arcs coming soon (ARC IDs will be aded when I finish the arc):
So, you want to join the Hellions? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)
Sparks & Steel (level 5-20 Heroic arc)
and
So you want to join the Skulls? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)

BABs has been working on that tech with Granite Armor for a while. It has the same issue as the HEATs. Once Granite is worked out, they should be able to figure it out quickly for Nova and Dwarf forms. Give it time. The developers only have 2 hands and it took them like a year and a half to get what they do have done. Pool powers, Epic powers, VEATs, HEATs, Granite, all of it I'm sure is are on a priority list somewhere. Just gotta let them get it done.

I really hope that this isn't a deal breaker for getting customization on the EATs. Yes, there's a back story to them, but has it ever been said why Khelds are that color specifically or that they can't? Can there not be different 'races' of the forms? It wouldn't break cannon much if at all to allow color customization for them. Its not like comics (or soap operas, or movies, or tv shows or anything really) NEVER change a bit of back-history to fit the current story a little better anyways. If people are REALLY REALLY wanting to stick to the same colors for role playing reasons, well thats why the power customization is optional to do. If you're happy with your power colors, you don't have to change em. Don't punish the people that do want to

Granite and EATs are two different tech problems.

The problem with Granite is that it replaces your character model, the issue with EATs is the branching power trees. Though HEATs share some of this problem, it is not the core problem they face.

The "fix" in the works for Granite is to make it more like the other armors where it is an overlay over your character, and if this fix goes through it is for every one, there will not be an Old Granite/New Granite opition it will have to be applied across the board.

The fix for EATs and Power Pools for that matter will be adjusting the interface to deal with multiple "possible" power trees, without overloading the interface and the limits on character data size.
