Veteran Reveal Power
I've used it once or twice but I always had used the fog to let me know where I had not explored for enemies and blinkies so I don't like to use it.
total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
Well I for one will never use this power!
...Mainly because the game will probably be dead by the time I get another 31 months of Vet months.

We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
I'm sure it will only get more useful with (hopefully) new maps in GR.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
I have it, and I use it all the time. It's great for revealing the maps for outdoor zones I'm visiting for the first time on a new character (or the first time since earning it on older ones). Revealing all the maps has a sort of "collect them all" vibe that appeals to me. And I've found that the issue of the fog of war in instances hasn't been the problem I thought it would be. You see, after I use Reveal and the map loads (which takes a moment or two in instances, yet is instant in zones), I can plan the route I'm going to take through the mission in advance. Like if there's a fork in the path, I'll know which fork leads to a side room which may contain clues and other objectives, and which leads deeper into the mission.

i also use the vidiot maps patch, and Reveal has been very handy for locating plaques and badges in outdoor zones. Also for the Shadow Shard.

I use it in regular missions occasionally, too, usually to spot the quickest way to the boss room.
The Way of the Corruptor (Arc ID 49834): Hey villains! Do something for yourself for a change--like twisting the elements to your will. All that's standing in your way are a few secret societies...and Champions of the four elements.
Yeah, that power is awesome. And LOL at CoX being dead in 2.5 years. Har.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Abandoned Sewer system + Reveal power.
Oh.
My.
God.
It came in VERY handy while I was in the RWZ a few weeks back, I almost forgot I had the power too.

I was speculative about this when I first heard of it, but since I got it on the weekend it is a wonderful addition to my array of powers.
I love Reveal. While I thought it was just "OK" at first, it has really shown itself to be a winner of a power.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

I'm not sure how may Paragon geezers, er, vets are out there with this power, but what's your experience with it? And if you're not using it, give it a try on a mission and see what you think.--NT

Reveal makes all zone maps immediately useful to new characters. As a long-time vet, I really don't care if one of my characters hasn't visited some obscure patch of ground. I do appreciate being able to eliminate those spotty black blotches that inevitably result from zone criss-crossing.
In missions that have clickies I might not use it, and if I'm in a PUG I know someone's going to ask about the weird grid lights I just gave off.
Goldbrick 50 inv/ss tank
Other 50s: Power Beam, Rocky Mantle, STORMIE Agent, Matchless, Major Will, Knightmayor, Femstone, Space Maureen, Crimebuster Ako, Dr. Twilight, Doc Champion, American Gold Eagle
Oh and to add, the animation is pure win!

Yeah, the grid pattern wraps around just about anything. I love using it in caves--has a very Tron/Matrix look to it.

I too love this power. And the animation is fantastic! I can't believe I'm saying this due to the many annoying sound effects in game, but the animation for Reveal is so cool, I wish it has sound too.
For me, Reveal has been one of those "I don't use it often, but it's indispensable when I do use need it" powers. Even those I know all of the instance maps by mostly by heart, its the mostly part which come into play. Reveal shows me those areas I miss for maps that I dont encounter that often.
I remember the threads when the veteran "Reveal" power was announced. I, for one, said I'd not use it, since I like to use the fog of war to know where in a map I've been, and where I've not.
Man, this crow sandwich is great with mustard.
Maybe it's because I'm leveling up a new defender (currently level 17), or maybe it's because I'm mostly soloing at the moment, but I've discovered that I love this power. I use it Every. Single. Mission.
Seriously.
I've found the Reveal power to be remarkably liberating. In a hurry? I can skip that dead end and just fight to the boss at the end. Looking for hostages? Aha, I bet one will be in =that= room. Wondering how long the mission is? Oh, =this= map!
And, best of all, my OCD characters (it's them, I swear!) no longer have to fly or superjump all over a zone to color in the entire map. One click, and cello!
I'm not sure how may Paragon geezers, er, vets are out there with this power, but what's your experience with it? And if you're not using it, give it a try on a mission and see what you think.
