Screw it! What are you rollinng for Isos VII?
Since Cryptic mysteriously ran out of Lifetime subs I'm probably down for the next version of Isos. |
Interesting turn of development. You've hurt my feelings.
Again
Oh...on topic: Nothing.
I've already forgotten about most of you
Depends on Issue 16 Launch.
Pre-I16 launch I role a Fire Melee/Dark Armor Scrapper. I've basically already made this character but haven't taken to time to level her. Just too many alts. She's only level 6 so re-roleing isn't to big a deal.
Post-I16 launch I role a Electric Melee/Dark Armor Scrapper. This what I'm really excited to level up for Isos. I really enjoyed my Electric Melee/Dark Brute, but I just don't enjoy red side enough so she' still stuck at level 42.
While we're at it, I have two requests going into the next Isos.
- The return of the List
- Weekly threads. I didn't really like the whole "one massive thread" thing.
Don't know. I'm running out of server slots.
<sigh> Viv says its no longer "all me".

Defender. Either Emp/Energy or Rad/Sonic.
And I'm with Des. Yes to The List, and to weekly threads!
No Voo, sad.
But, we do get Mental! Stop toying with our heartstrings, Mental! Hmmm, Champions site is still down today... wonder what happened.
As for me, I want to run in the next with you all, but I am once again not sure when I'll be on CoX. My current subscription runs out on the 3rd, which is next Thursday. I don't get my first paycheck until a couple more weeks into September, so it might be until then. Or later.
At any rate, I'll try to get in on the next Isos with my Sonic/Sonic Defender, The Golden Howler (previous connection to the Goldbrickers, yes). He's sitting at 12, so hopefully I can exemp him down for the first session (if I'm around), and then follow normally. He's got some fun powers, a good concept, and I like debuffing resistance, so it should be a safe bet for a fun Defender. One of them has to stick at some point, heh.

Story Arc: Belated Justice, #88003
Synopsis: Explore the fine line between justice and vengeance as you help a hero of Talos Island bring his friend's murderer to justice.
Grey Pilgrim: Fire/Fire Tanker (50), Victory
Will likely wait until post i16 to join. Will very likely go with the traps defender to complete my set (I've got 8 of the 9 current primaries done right now with a force fielder at 48) and I want one of each.
I would vote for, yes a list, and weekly threads are ok, but no boiler plate info on every post.
Guardian of CHRYSALIS
Victory Limitless- /chanjoin "Victory Limitless"
P.E.R.C. First Chair- P.E.R.C. Site, Victory Over Hamidon
Things do feel buried and less of an "event" without an individual point. Weird, I suppose, but that's how it feels.

I have one ready and waiting. She's a bubble/grav troller and her name is VooDoo Bunny. But it just wont be the same if Voo isn't there
*edit* but don't put me on the list cause I have a class on Wednesdays now. I'll have to sit this round out

As far as weekly threads go, we voted on it and One Big Thread won out. We can do a revote if you want. Since it's unclear whether Voo will be joining us, maybe the OBT option won't get as much support.

And I'm being blamed for *your* thread? /e flex2 I'm scared to think of what else I can talk you into so easily.

Maybe one day.
(Oh, good luck on the next Isos, wish I could play earlier on Wednesdays, but RL gets in the way.)

Little Bunny Voodoo Hopping through the forest Scoopin' up the field mice And biting off their heads! Then the Good Fairy came and said: 'Little Bunny VooDoo I don't wanna see you Scoopin' up the field mice And biting off their heads! I'll give you 3 chances, And if you don't behave, I will turn you into a Goon!" And Little Bunny Voodoo laughed, Flipped her the bird, And bit off her head! No one should have to be a goon!

That was for Champs Online Voodoo. $200 and you get a lifetime sub to the game. They ran out of them last weekend though.

If I had a Lifetime sub to CO, I would have been playing it and therefore not had the time for Isos. Since I didn't make it in time, it's On like Donkey Kong.

To make it official: I won't be in Isos 7.
MG, you procrastinator! I'm lifetime, sorry you didn't make it in. Maybe they'll "find" more subs.
Wait, so if you were able to pay $200 up front, you would be playing CO, but since it's $15 up front now, you won't? I realize it *could* be a savings, but only if you're on for over a year... you might be better off if you get tired of it in a month or two. And I'm still not sure how playing CO and COH at the same time means you couldn't have done Wednesday nights with Isos.
I wonder what math they used to decide what amount of lifetime subs was okay, and what line made it too much? I would have to think almost any number is a best guess on their part, but I'm no accountant/economic whiz. Still, while I know lifetime subs are an attempt to draw people in and get them interested, it still feels like the developer saying they don't have confidence in their product. I know there are stats showing that most players of an MMO drop out after less than a year, but that's still my gut feeling on it, especially after how long I know some people have played MMOs like CoX.

Blue side, Victory, Wednesdays at 8PM EST... you get the idea!

So, what's everyone rolling up? I don't think we'll launch post-I16, but I could be wrong.
